John D. "Red" Weins
Life Dates: June 12, 1943 - July 19, 2003
John Weins, age 60, died on Saturday at his home in the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge. He was born in Newark and had resided in Menlo Park Terrace for the past 30 years.
Mr. Weins was a Longshoreman with Maersk Sea Land Company in Port Elizabeth for 40 years.
He was a member of I.L.A. local #1235 in Newark.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Dolores A. Pojnar Weins, his son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Karen Weins of Fords, his daughter and son-in-law, Denise A. and Donald Keenan of Forked River, and three grandchildren, Brian and Jamie Weins and Shawn Keenan.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 22, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home, Rev. Sean Winters officiating.
Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.

Julius Yuhas
Life Dates: September 8, 1925 - July 16, 2003
Julius Yuhas, age 77, died on Wednesday at Easton Shore medical Center in Nassawadox, Virginia. He was born in Fords, NJ and had resided in Edison, NJ for the last 50 years.
Mr. Yuhas was a Fire Captain with the Edison Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 1987. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. He was a member of the American Singer Club - Chapter 17, a member of the Clara Barton Senior Citizens Club and the Clara Barton Senior Social Club. He was also a member of the U.S.L.S.T. Association.
His wife, Joyce Snape Yuhas who died in 1999 and his son, Ralph Yuhas who died in 1987, predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his sons, Roger Yuhas of New York city and Philip Yuhas of Cranford, NJ, his daughter, Beverly Frey of Edison, his brother, Al Yuhas of Linden and his sister, Elizabeth Dankovich of Edison. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, July 20, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Parastas Service at 7:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Funeral service: Monday, July 21, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:00 a.m. Service of Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Edison.
Burial will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Antionette Zdzienicki
Life Dates: November 14, 1910 - July 12, 2003
Antionette Zdzienicki, age 92, died on Saturday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Poland and had been a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy.
Ms. Zdzienicki had worked as an Office Manager of Perth Amboy Coal and Oil Company. She was a communicant of St. Stephens RC Church.
Her sister, Doris Donnelly predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her brother, Ted Zdzienicki, her nieces, Michele Anderson, Doreen Gecek, Denise Donnelly, Cynthia Sollecito, Lisa Carey and Tara Zdzienicki, and eight grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 15, 2003 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ.
A Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service: Wednesday July 16, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephens RC Church in Perth Amboy.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Andrew S. Kopacz
Life Dates: August 4, 1917 - August 19, 2003
Andrew Kopacz, age 86, died on Tuesday at Barbara E. Cheung Hospice in Edison. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy.
Mr. Kopacz was a machinist with Valcor Engineering in Springfield for 20 years, retiring in 1982, and was previously employed at Mack Truck in New Brunswick and Plainfield for 20 years.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII where he received the American Service Medal, the Victory Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a communicant of Holy Spirit RC Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Senior Citizens.
His sister, Julia Hovanecz who died in 2001 predeceased him.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Louise Savoia Kopacz, his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Christine Kopacz of Perth Amboy, his sister, Theresa Anglin of New Freedom, Pa, and his grandchildren, Tina Marie, Tasha Leigh and Vaughn Robert.
Visitation: Thursday, August 21, 2003 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Friday, August 22, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit RC Church, Perth Amboy.
Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

Julia Fedorka
Life Dates: January 13, 1916 - July 21, 2003
Julia Fedorka, age 87, died on Monday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy.
Mrs. Fedorka was a parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church in Perth Amboy were she ran their Bingo from 1984 to 1998. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister, Past President of the Alter Rosary Society, and was a member of St. Mary's Senior Citizens. In addition, she was a past president of Thomas Mundy Perterson School #1- PTA, the first President of San Salvador Columbiettes and San Salvador Seniors in Perth Amboy, and Past President of South East Chapter Columbiettes. She served on the NJ State Columbiettes Degree Team, was a District Deputy of the Columbiettes for many years, and a Past President of the St. Joseph's Guild in Perth Amboy. She also belonged to the American Legion Unit 1000 of the State of New Jersey and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hopelawn VFW.
Her husband, Alfred J. "Buddy" Fedorka who died in 1996 predeceased her.
Survived by: Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, John Leo and Linda Fedorka of South Amboy and Laurence and Roberta Fedorka of Norristown, Pa, and her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Dorothy and Dr. David Scuccimarra of Jessup, Maryland, her sisters, Gladys Ribinsky and Florence Lyons, her brother, Arthur d'Eustachio and her sisters-in-law, Sr. Dorothy Fedorka RSM of Mt. Saint Mary's, Watchung, NJ, and Alice d'Eustachio. Also surviving are her grand children, Alexander, Allison, Andrew, Lauren and M. Garrett, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, July 24, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
St. Mary's Senior Citizens will meet at 3:00 p.m. to pay their respects.

Joan A. LiCalsi Boese
Life Dates: February 20, 1943 - August 4, 2003
Joan LiCalsi Boese, age 60, died on Monday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. She was born in Union City and had resided in Menlo Park Terrace for the past 32 years.
Mrs. Boese was a homemaker who devoted her time to her husband and family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Edison.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Frederick G. Boese, her sons, William T. Boese of Stewartsville and Steven M. Boese of Rochester NY, her daughter, Angela T. Boese of Somerset, her three grandchildren, William T., Annalise and Patrick, and her sister, Valerie Ferraro of Ridgefield Park.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 6, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Edison.
Cremation will be private.

Luz M. Adler
Life Dates: August 25, 1943 - July 21, 2003
Luz Adler, age 59, died on Monday at her home in Edison. She was born in Puerto Rico and resided in New York, moving to Edison 22 years ago. Mrs. Adler was a Nurse's Assistant for Planned Parenthood in Plainfield, N.J.
Survived by: Surviving are her husband, Jack W Adler of Edison, her sons anad daughter-in-law, Richard and Norma Perez of Edison, Marc Adler of Millburn, and Dean Adler of San Fransisco, Ca. and her daughter, Michelle Adler of Summit, NJ. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Richard Anthony Perez, Paul Samuel Adler, Kerri A. Adler, and Hannah Feinberg, her brothers, Martin Nevarez and Luis Alberto Nevarez of Puerto Rico, her sisters, Sonia Sierra and Raphaella Nevarez of Puerto Rico, her mother, Marta Santiago of Puerto Rico, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 23, 2003 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.

Thomas "Pops" Butler
Life Dates: June 10, 1923 - August 15, 2003
Thomas Butler, age 80, died on Thursday at his home in Edison. He was born in Macon, Georgia and had resided in Perth Amboy and New York City before moving to Edison 4 years ago.
Mr. Butler was a Chauffeur with a Taxi and Limousine Company in New York City. He was also a private chauffeur for Maurice Polkowicz of Polkowicz Motors in Perth Amboy and was then a bus driver with Dapper Bus service in Iselin.
He was a veteran who served in the US Navy during WWII.
Survived by: Surviving are his wife, Linda Wilson Butler, his sons, Thomas Butler of Long Island and Toby Butler, and his daughters, Judy Kaye Butler of Georgia, and Lornette and Stacy Butler of New York City. Also surviving are his sisters, Marcella Greenway of NYC and Katie Mae Nelson of Chicago, his three stepchildren, Steven Wilson of Colorado, Lorna Piper of Perth Amboy and Anthony Hutchinson of London, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Visitation: Monday, August 18, 2003 10:00a.m.-12:00 noon
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ.
Funeral Service: Monday, August 18, 2003 at 12:00 noon in the funeral home, Rev. Eric Brewer, officiating.
Cremation will be private.
