Eades, Nellie M., 103, formerly of Sherman, died May 20, 2000 in Dunkirk.
She was born July 3, 1896 in Buffalo, the daughter of George and Maryetta Messinger Ling.
Surviving are two daughters: Isabelle L. Lindwall and Margaret E. Whitesboro; two sons: Saul L. and Wesley G. Eades.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Eades, whom she married in 1914 and who died June 22, 1970; and a son, Robert C. Eades.
Burial was in the Sherman Cemetery.

Cain, Alice Catherine, 85, formerly of Randolph, died May 20, 2000.
She was born July 18, 1914 in Indiana, PA, the daughter of Fred, Sr., and Rozella Buchanon Marsh.
Surviving is a brother, Joseph Marsh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Cain, who died in 1969; a son, Gerald Robert Cain; a brother, Fred Marsh, Jr.; and four sisters: Mary Elizabeth Marsh, Jo Ann F. Marsh, Orrell I. VanName, and June M. Patterson.
Burial was in the Randolph Cemetery.

Verigan, Lillie F. Waddell, 93, formerly of Jamestown, died May 21, 2000.
She was born Oct. 23, 1906 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Cyrus K. and Hilda M. Mickelson Waddell.
Surviving are a son, Alan F. Verigan; and a daughter, Carol Nering.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frederick Verigan, whom she married June 23, 1931; three sisters: Ruth Marie, Laura May and Gertrude Hazel; and two brothers: Howard Glenn and Arthur Ralph.
Burial was in Roselawn Gardens, Alton.

Hotchkiss, Clyde L., 81, of Falconer, died May 20, 2000.
He was born Aug. 6, 1918, the son of Harlow and Leota Lewis Hotchkiss.
Surviving are his wife, Edith R. Maynard Hotchkiss, whom he married July 28, 1940; two sons: Clifford and Ronald Hotchkiss; a daughter, Diane Boland; a brother, Harlow Hotchkiss; and a sister, Lucille Burch.
Burial was in the Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.

Liptak, Catherine, 77, of Forestville, died May 20, 2000 in Dunkirk.
She was born March 31, 1923 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late George and Katherine Szilagyi Liptak.
Burial was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo.

Korol, Julianna Atta Benara, 75, of Falconer, died May 21, 2000 in her home.
She was born May 28, 1924 in Latvia, a daughter of the late Aleksej and Rita Viksnins Holapina.
Surviving are a son, Taras Korol; a daughter, Stefanija Slobuski; and a sister, Taira Holapina of Latvia.

Thelander, Thelma A., 92, formerly of Blockville, Jamestown, and FL, died May 20, 2000.
She was born in Hubbard, OH, July 1, 1907, the daughter of Lemuel and Bertha Rolfe.
She was the widow of Carl J. Thelander, whom she married Nov. 23, 1939, and who died Oct. 15, 1990.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers. Entombment was in the Manasota Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL.

Steves, Henry J., 83, of Strykersville, NY, died May 18, 2000 in his home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1917 in North Harmony, the son of Fred E. and Mary McDonald Steves.
Surviving are two daughters: Betty Showalter and Jane Henry; six sons: Henry, Hugh, Jeffrey, Howard, Bill and Roger Steves; a sister, Evangeline Hover; and two brothers: Leslie and Kenneth Steves.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Josephine H. "Rose" Gastol Steves; a son, Robert Steves; two sisters: Ester Steves, and Bernice Samuelson; and five brothers: Jerry, Carl, Earl, Benjamin, and Samuel Steves.
Burial was in St. Cecelia’s Cemetery, Sheldon, NY.

Johnson, Elmer B., 81, of Mayville, died May 19, 2000 in Westfield Health Center.
He was born July 24, 1918 in Cincinatti, the son of Harry and Bertha Lee Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Arline Burroughs Johnson, whom he married April 13, 1946; two brothers: Kenneth and Harry Johnson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Reinhart.

Feidler, Frances M., 79, died May 18, 2000 in Jamestown.
She was born May 21, 1920, in Union City, PA, the daughter of Harlow and Beulah Babcock Mitchell.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Homer Feidler, whom she married July 13, 1937; a son, Carl Feidler; a daughter, Dianne Johnson; and a brother, Raymond Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Leroy and John Mitchell; and four sisters: Mildred and Rachel Bush, Marie Chaffee, and Lillian A. Ongley.
Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Welling, Leona Satterlee, 89, of Jamestown, died May 18, 2000.
She was born July 30, 1910 in Meadville, PA, the daughter of Fay and Mildred Thomas Satterlee.
Surviving is a son, E. William Welling.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Satterlee.

Nelson, Katherine, 96, of Lakewood, died May 18, 2000.
She was born Nov. 19, 1903 in Muskegon, MN, a daughter of Oscar and Christina Johnson Erickson.
Surviving are four sons: Richard, Edwin, Jr., Arthur, and Robert Nelson; four daughters: Dorothy Depas, Edna Farnsworth, Nina Depas, and Kitty Parker; a brother, Herman Erickson; and three sisters: Anna Lothschutz, Clara Gardner, and Hazel Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Nelson, Sr., whom she married Jan 30, 1929, and who died March 7, 1988; four sisters and four brothers.
Burial was in the Bentley Cemetery, Lakewood.

Sikora, Patricia A. Winkler, 58, Fredonia, NY, died Monday Dec. 20, 1999
She was born March 14, 1941 in Buffalo, daughter of William and Stephanie Stowinski Winkler; Husband, Donald Sikora died Dec. 22, 1995. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.

Wassink, Gerald C. 90 Clymer died Monday Dec.20, 1999.
He was born May 23, 1909 in Panama, NY, the son of Clarence H. and Alice Sheldon Wassink. His wife Bertha oakes Wassink whom he married in Dec. 8, 1932, died Feb. 3, 1998.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Panama, NY.

Sanctuary, Eleanor G Graves, 80, of Jamestown, died Monday Dec. 20, 1999.
She was born June 9, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Walter and Marguerite Erb Graves. She married Dr. Gordon Sanctuary Oct.19, 1940. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.

LaDow, Elsie R. Lehnen Barmore, 90, Jamestown, NY, died Monday Dec. 20, 1999.
She was born in Dunkirk, NY, July 9, 1909, the daughter of Michael and Susan Whannamaker Lehnen. She married Earl J. LaDow, July 18, 1964.
Burial will be in the Cassadage Cemetery, Cassadaga, NY.
