Sebastiana Canciglia
SAN SALVATORE de FETALE, Sicily - Word has been received of the death of Sebastiana Triscari Canciglia, 87, who died Saturday (Jan. 22, 2000). A lifelong resident of Sicily, she was the daughter of Giovanni and Sara Iuculano Triscari.
Surviving are six children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Joseph Triscari of Jamestown and Giovanni Triscari of Tortorici, Sicily.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calogero Canciglia, in November 1991; three sisters; and a brother, Sebastiano Triscari, in August 1957. The funeral and burial were held in Sicily on Jan. 24.

Theodore Alton Russell
GREAT VALLEY - Theodore Alton "TA" Russell, 94, of Klawitter Road, died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in Olean General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 27, 1905, in Kennedy, the son of Frank and Mabel Risley Russell.
He was a senior research physicist with Eastman Kodak for 33 years and had many patents to his credit. He attended Great Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Vada Pierce, whom he married Sept 8, 1990; a daughter, Joanne Reid of Great Valley; a son, Bruce Russell of Allison Park, Pa; a stepdaughter, Ramona Bickell of Ellicottville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Meredith Dadswell, whom he married May 9, 1936, and who died in January 1977; and two brothers: Clifford and Marion Russell.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Great Valley Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Great Valley Baptist Church or the Ellicottville-Great Valley Ambulance Service.
Arrangements are by O’Rourke Funeral Home, 411 Rock City St., Little Valley.

Phyllis E. Smith
Phyllis E. Smith, 76, of East Second Street, Jamestown, died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) at 8:05 p.m. in WCA Hospital.Arrangements are by Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.

Warren T. Koppenhofer
WARREN - Warren T. Koppenhofer, 81, of 513 Lincoln Ave. and Cudjoe Key, Fla., died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in Warren General Hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Winfield, N.Y., the son of William and Blanche DeWitt Koppenhofer.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 as a sergeant, working in the engineering division in England, Algiers, North Africa and Italy, where he set up a mobile postal operation serving the men on the front line. He started his career in postal office work in Hempstead, L.I., and had been a postal inspector with the U.S. Postal Service, working in the Pittsburgh Post Office from 1953 to 1971.
He was a former member of the St. George Episcopal Church of Hempstead.
He was a former borough council member, serving as president and mayor of Indian Lake, Somerset County, Pa., in the 1970s.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Bean Koppenhofer, whom he married May 10, 1945, in Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Susan Scenna of Amherst, N.H.; and two sons: Michael Koppenhofer of Enola, Pa., and Warren "Tom" Koppenhofer of Hooversville, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc. The Rev. Glenn Hamilton, pastor of Bethlehem Covenant Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th St., New York, N.Y., 10032-9982.

Ellis R. Parker
DUNKIRK - Ellis R. Parker, 71, of the Chautauqua Home, formerly of 2574 Hanson Road, Gerry, died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 26, 2000) in Brooks Memorial Hospital.
An area resident most of his life, he was born April 30, 1928, in Jamestown, the son of Norris N. and Dorothy Reid Parker.
He was a 1945 graduate of Cassadaga High School and had attended Cornell University. He had been employed for 30 years at the former Amsco Excel retiring due to ill health. He served as Gerry town justice for many years and was a member of the New York State Magistrates Association.
He was a life member of the Gerry Volunteer Fire Department and an a member of the Gerry United Methodist Church.
He was a 32nd degree member of the Sylvan Lodge 303 F&AM, where he was a member of the Valley of Jamestown A.A.S.R., Jamestown Shriners and the Scottish Rite of Jamestown.
He was a charter member of the Valley Bow Hunters Association and a former member of the Ingjald Lodge 65 IOV. In earlier years he had been active in Boy Scouts, 4H and the Future Farmers of America in the Gerry Area.
He was an avid archery hunter.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret E. Olson Parker, whom he married Sept. 9, 1950, in Falconer; two sons: William N. and Bruce A. Parker, both of Gerry; two daughters: Helena K. "Bonnie" Libby of Gerry and Susan D. Stanton of Lakewood; eight grandchildren: Donya Raymond and Stacey Carlson, both of Fredonia, Brian and Greg Stanton of Lakewood, Jamie, W. Nathan and Emily Parker, all of Gerry, Robert C. Johnston of East Randolph; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Ellis Jr. and Robert James Parker; and two granddaughters: Christina Sue Libby and Julie Ann Stanton.The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark D. Emke, pastor of the Open Door Baptist Church, Cassadaga, will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today where the Sylvan Lodge 303 F&AM will conduct a memorial ritual at 7 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Gerry Volunteer Fire Department or the University of Rochester, Department of Neurology, Mind Unit, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 673, Rochester, N.Y., 14642-8673 for Parkinson’s research.

Virginia H. Dalrymple
SUGAR GROVE - Virginia H. Dalrymple, 81, of 205 Main St., died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in the Rouse Warren County Home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Sugar Grove, the daughter of Clyde Thorpe and Helen Beard.
She was a member of the Busti Fire Department Auxiliary, the Sugar Grove Rod and Gun Club Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary of Sugar Grove.
Surviving are two brothers: James Thorpe of Jamestown and Marvin Thorpe of Youngsville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Dalrymple; and four brothers: Lewis, Trevor, Donald and Leighton Thorpe.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Sugar Grove Branch, McKinney Funeral Home, Sugar Grove. The Rev. Charles Duryea, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Wrightsville Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren County, P.O. Box 68, Warren, Pa., 16365, or the Sugar Grove Free Library.
Arrangements are by McKinney Funeral Home Inc., Sugar Grove.
