KOWAL, ANDREW FRANK

Andrew Frank Kowal a resident of Port Chester died September 11, 2010. He was 61 and was born May 17, 1949 in Poland to Eleanor Filanowski Kowal and the late John Kowal. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School and Oklahoma State University with a degree in Architecture. He was a retired architect for the firm of Vallus and Carpenter in Westport, CT. He was a jack-of-all- trades and master of most who loved fishing and boating. An avid New York Giants fan, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Mr. Kowal is survived by his mother Eleanor Kowal of Port Chester, NY., son Michael Kowal and wife Genevieve of White Plains, NY., daughter Christine Kowal Anik and husband Jonathan of Hamden, CT. sisters, Halina Pugliese and husband Steve of Greenwich, CT., and Jen Kowal of Norwalk, CT. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Kowal. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00PM on Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 229 Willett Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Kowal may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. LYONS, VINCENT

Vincent Lyons of Stony Point, NY passed away on September 12, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 47 years old. Vincent was born on April 11, 1963 to Mary and Frank Lyons in Manhattan, NY. He graduated from North Rockland High School in 1981 and went on to Pace University in 1989 to graduate with a Bachelors of Arts in History (Magna Cum Laude). He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in May of 1995. Vincent was a member of the Bar Association in both New York and New Jersey since 1996. He was a partner at O'Connor Redd, LLP in White Plains, NY. Vincent is survived by his Mother Mary of Stony Point; stepfather Michael Hayes; Sister Susan and her Husband Ken of Woodbourne; stepmother Joyce Lyons of Middletown; niece and nephew Kenneth and Heather Stalter. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Justine Vitaliti. Vincent leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous close friends. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Lyons, of Middletown, NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY. Mass will be held on Thursday at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church followed by the burial at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Hospice of Rockland or St. Jude's Hospital. MASON, ALLAN

Allan Joseph Mason, Tappan, NY, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2010. Born October 20, 1926 to Murray and Pauline Mason in Brooklyn, NY, he was the youngest of three children. He is survived by his Wife, Theodora (Teddie), daughters Laurette (Mitchell) Klein, New City, NY, and Beth Mason-York, Middletown, NY, and his sisters Evelyn Greene and Doris (Morris) Kushner. Allan is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Jason (Amanda) Klein, Jenna Klein, Tracy Klein, and Brittany York. Allan worked in the garment industry for over 30 years and was a volunteer computer instructor at the Jewish Community Center. Among his hobbies were stamp and coin collecting. An avid Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Mets fan, Allan enjoyed attending and watching ball games. More than anything, Allan loved spending time with his beloved family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland (www.hospiceofrockland.org).

O'DONOHUE, COLLINS DEBRA

Debra Collins O'Donohue, 55, died September 9, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Frank and Hazel Collins on November 3, 1954 in Yonkers, NY and graduated from Tappan Zee HS. She is survived by her children Lauren Hass, Kathi Nazario & husband Charlie, Ryan O'Dononhue, Kevin O'Dononhue; sisters Lisa Pacarell and Elaine Livsey and Timothy J. O'Donohue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Falco, Ranellone a life long resident of Yonkers died on September 12, 2010 he was 83 yrs old. Born to Falco and Angela Defrizo. Beloved Husband of Antoinette Levito Ranellone. Loving father of Diane (George) Galeano. Dear Brother of the late Rocco, John, Anthony, Carmella Savastano, Josephine Salvi, Mary Riccardi and Anna Rucci. REID, WILLIAM C. (BILLY)

William C. (Billy) Reid, 4 year resident of Willow Creek, CA, formerly of Carmel, NY and Eastchester, NY died at his home. Billy was born April 14, 1963 in Bronxville, NY, to Arthur J. Reid and Margaret C. (Hunter) Reid. In addition to his parents, Billy is survived by his siblings Arty Reid (Julie), Fairfield, CT, Barbara Cantatore (Frank), White Plains, NY, Marilyn Reid, Valley Cottage, NY, Dave Reid (MaryBeth), LaGrange, NY, and Eddy Reid, Manchester, VT. He is predeceased by his sister Tina Davis (Gary), Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by many, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Billy grew up in Eastchester, NY. He was a former employee of Verizon and member of CWA Local 1103 for 17 years. Billy was an avid fisherman, golfer, NY Giants and NY Mets fan, and an accomplished guitar player and songwriter with a love for motorcycles. He will be missed by so many he has touched in his travels through life. Billy will be remembered for his quick wit, tireless humor, his stories of his adventures and songs of his life's experiences. Calling hours will be on Sept. 17, 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY. SR. Francoise Therese Rogan, 96, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, September 13, 2010. A Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 76 years, Sr. Francoise Therese taught at Istituto Marymount, Rome, Italy. She opened Marymount International School, Rome, and Marymount International School, Barcelona, Spain. She taught at Marymount College, Quebec, Canada; and Marymount University, Arlington, VA. She was Director of Religious Education and pastoral minister serving the elderly and sick at St. Patrick Church, East Hampton, CT. She was living at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, at the time of her death. Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY.Visiting Wednesday, September 15, 3:00 - 7:30 pm, Vigil Service 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, September 16, 10:30 am. Gerald B. Tepper a long time resident and business owner in the Larchmont and New Rochelle area died on September 12, 2010 . Gerald was a Charismatic person who was loved and admired by his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late E. Sandra Tepper. Loving father of Beth-Isa Tepper, Rindi Klarberg and Monte Tepper. BECRAFT, VERONICA

Veronica Cecilia Vilandry Becraft, of West Haverstraw, NY died Tuesday, August 10, 2010. She was 86 years old. Born November 12, 1923 in Nyack, NY. She was the daughter of Joseph Vilandry and Esther Madden Vilandry. Veronica was a lifelong resident of North Rockland. She grew up in the Village of Haverstraw, graduated from St. Peter's Elementary School and in 1942 from Haverstraw High School. On January 25, 1946 Veronica married High School sweethearted Reeves Lewis Becraft. During World War II, Veronica worked in New York City. She commuted from Haverstraw by rail and ferry and often spoke of seeing the trains full of deployed soldiers going from camp shanks down the Hudson to the hundreds of transport ships waiting to take them to the battlefronts of Europe. In later years she enjoyed watching the firemen's parades from her porch, and sipping Gin Martinis (up with a twist) at her favorite local eatery, Babe's. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Leo Laders Unit # 130 and was retired from Chemical Bank. She is survived by a son, David Becraft, of Mt Lebanon, PA. and her grandchildren Kevin Courtney Becraft of Astoria, NY and Abigal Reeves Becraft of New York NY. She is predeceased by her husband Reeves Lewis Becraft, her son, Lewis Kevin Becraft, and by her brother Vincent Vilandry. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, Garnerville at 10:15 AM, Saturday, August 14. A private interment will be in The Sloatsburg Cemetery, alongside seven generations of Becraft family. There will be a viewing at The Edward C.
