FLEURY, SONIA

Sonia Fleury of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010. She was 88 years old. Sonia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Donald Fleury and Cynthia McCullough, grandchildren, Brett, Dylan, Gavin and Logan. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred of 46 years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 10:00 am till 12:30 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand Street, Crotonon-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm immediately following the visitation at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery also in Croton. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sonia's name can be made to the Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Dr., Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520 or www.crotonfreelibrary/membership/.org.

GIACALONE, JAMES

James Giacalone, 90, formerly of Sloatsburg, died on December 28 at Middletown Park Manor. He was born on November 23, 1920 in Brooklyn. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of St. John of Arc Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary at home; his sons, Matthew and his companion, Theresa Menke and Charles and his wife Barbara; his daughters, Mary F. Warren and her husband Andy , Catherine Mead and her husband Russell, and Teresa ; one sister, Mary Tilleli; six beloved grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Visitation hours will be held today, December 29, 2010 from 2 to 4 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY, 10940. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:30 pm at the funeral home today, Wednesday; Fr. Frank Dias will officiate. Cremation will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Hudson Valley/Rockland/Westchester, NY - 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 Phone 800.872.0994. GIBSON, CATHERINE M. (NEE CLINTON

Catherine M. Gibson (nee Clinton) on December 27th, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Loving mother of Robert, Thomas (Gerry), John and the late James. Cherished grandmother of Thomas (Danielle), James (Kelly), Laura and John Jr. and great-grandmother of Shannon, Tommy, Taylor and Paddy. She is predeceased by her brothers George and Bernard Clinton and sister Eileen Dickesheid. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at David J. George Goerlitz, age 81, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at home in Somers. Mr. Goerlitz was born January 24, 1929 in the Bronx, NY. George is survived by four daughters: Arlene Brocksmith Mosier, Nancy Alverio, Kathy Nicoletti and Ellen Duffy. A loving grandfather and great-grandfather. IZZO, DOLORES

Dolores Mastrobuono Izzo, 56, of Eastchester, died on December 28, 2010. Beloved wife of Giuseppe. Loving mother of Joseph and the late John. Dear sister of Lucille (Tony) Nunno, George (Celeste) Mastrobuono, and Ruth (Angelo) Piacquadio. Daughter-in-law to Teresa Izzo, Sister-in-law to Angelico (Maria) Izzo, Concetta Izzo and Renato (Nanda) Izzo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She worked for 12 years as a hairdresser in Silver Lake. She then stayed home to raise her family. The family will receive friends Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday December 31st at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery. JOYCE, ANN S.

Ann S. Joyce, age 60, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Montrose and died after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Ann is a graduate of Henry Hudson High School and then worked in the banking business for the past twenty-five years. Most recently, she was employed as Vice President of Compliance for the Royal Bank of Scotland. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Robert and Rita Joyce. Ann is survived by her brother, Michael and wife, Joan Joyce; nephews, John and wife, Sarah Joyce, Matthew Joyce, Andrew Joyce, and Patrick Joyce; and great niece, Makayla Joyce. Ann loved life and was a caring and giving person, with a great sense of humor. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY 10548. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 31st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Church in Buchanan. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.

KILANOWSKI, FRANK M.

Frank Kilanowski, 61, resident of White Plains, died suddenly on December 27, 2010. He was born August 2, 1949, the son of Roman and Bertha Kilanowsk, who predeceased him. Frank was an avid fisherman and cherished friend. He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Kilanowski, her mother, Lillian Boddie, dear friend, Gail Stroh, his cousins Bob Andresen and Ed Marron and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Garrison, who was his business partner and best friend until his passing. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 7 - 9 PM at the Beecher Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at the Beecher Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

KILEY, JEANNE C.

Jeanne C. Kiley, a Peekskill resident, died on December 27, 2010. She was 83 years old. She was born on July 7, 1927, the daughter of James M. Kiley and Edna Travis. A graduate of Peekskill High School class of 1945, she attended the White Plains School of Nursing under the U. S. Army Cadet Nursing Corps, graduating in 1948. Upon graduation she was employed at the General Hospital of White Plains until her enlistment in the U. S. Navy Nurses Corp and was assigned to the Naval Hospital at Portsmouth, VA. She was discharged from the Naval Reserve in 1967. Jeanne was a communicant at the Assumption Church and a school nurse working in the Peekskill school system and Assumption School. Jeanne is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret A. Kiley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Assumption Church, Peekskill on Friday, December 31 at 10 a.m. with Interment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Visiting at the Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt Street, Peekskill on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

KING, JOSEPHINE T.

Josephine King passed away on December 25, 2010. She was 81 years old. Josephine was born on March 8, 1929 in the Bronx, NY to Margaret (nee Colgan) and Thomas O'Keefe. She attended Our Lady of Mercy School and graduated from Walton HS. She then went to work for Continental Can Company in NYC and worked there until she married in 1954. She moved to Rockland County in 1961 where she became active in St. Joseph's Elementary School in Spring Valley, NY where her children attended school. She traveled extensively over the years with her husband Tom; with one of the highlights being in 1983 when they had the opportunity to visit their parent's hometowns in Ireland. In her later years, she most enjoyed spending time with her loving family. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband Thomas in 2001, her sisters, Vera McGrath, Margaret Macken, Eileen O'Keefe and her brother Thomas O'Keefe. She is survived by her children, Thomas and his wife Susan King of New City, NY, Margaret King Fitzpatrick of Wilton, CT and John King of Nanuet, NY and Port Orange, FL, her grandchildren Stephanie, Katherine and Michael King of New City, NY. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday December 30 at St. Anthony's Church at 10am, followed by Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery. MICHAEL J.
