*** Berg, Karen A., December 6, 2010, age 53. Survived by her fiance, Charles J. Alger; her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth “Betty” Berg; brothers, Daniel (Shawna) and Alan (Sandi) Berg; sister, Donna Berg; aunts and uncles, James (Ruth) Berg, Dorothy Twamley; nieces, Danielle, Kristie and Jacqueline; nephews, Aaron and Clay; also beloved by Charles H. and Nancy Alger and children. Predeceased by her sister Gail (1977).

A Funeral Mass was said December 10 at St. Mark’s Church. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon. Contributions can be made to Lollypop Farm in her memory.

*** Briggs, Virginia D., December 3, 2010, age 69. Survived by her husband, Edward W. Briggs; her children, Linda (Anthony) NiCastro, Michael and Christopher Briggs; grandchildren, Timothy Clapper and Autumn Briggs; her brother, Edward Vesely; her sister, Barbara (Eugene) Romano; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said December 9 at St. Lawrence Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre. Contributions can be made to the American Kidney Foundation in her memory.

*** Dwyer, Dorothy I., December 6, 2010 at age 84. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Peter Dwyer; children, Cheryl (James) Nolan, Sharon (John) Newton, Peter Scott (Karen) Dwyer, Michelle Dwyer-Collins, Larraine (Ranny) Kuba, Dorene Dwyer and Michael Dwyer; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Schmeer; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a local artist and a member of the Suburban Rochester Art Group.

Funeral Services were held December 11 at Hilton Baptist Church. Interment, Falls Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester 14620 in her memory.

*** Edsall, Stella M., November 30, 2010, age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Charles Edsall, Sr., 1974. Survived by her children, Sharon (John) Kaminski, Charles Jr. (Judy), Chester (Kathy) Edsall, Sheryl (Roger) McBroome; brother, Norman (Doris) Baker; sister, Barbara Kulago; sister-in-law, Venetta Baker; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by daughter, Betty Ellwanger; grandson, Daniel Ellwanger; and brother M. George Baker.

A Funeral Service was held December 5 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Episcopal Senior Life Quality of Life Fund in her memory.

*** MacNaughton, Elsie L., December 7, 2010, age 90. Survived by her husband of 71 years, Herb MacNaughton; her children, Pam (Fred) Roy, Chali (James) DiCataldo, and Barry MacNaughton; her sisters, Ruby Welch and Charlotte (Robert) Elliott; her brother, Raymond (Theresa) Veness; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held at the family’s convenience. Contributions can be made to Parma-Greece United Church of Christ in her memory.

*** Mandara, Phyllis, November, 27, 2010 at age 84. She is predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Marion Mandara (Biondi); sister, Marie Mandara; brother, Henry Mandara; brother-in-law, Ormond Maeder; sister-in-law, Arlene Mandara. Survived by her sister, Rosemary Maeder; nieces and nephews, Mary Ann (Mike) Newman, Billy (Edel) Maeder and David (Karen) Maeder; many great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces; special friend, Shirley Lucci. Phyllis was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Club, the 20th Ward Republican Club and the Holy Family Rosary Society.

A Memorial Mass was held December 11 at St. Leo the Great Church, Hilton. Private interment.

HOLLEY

*** Feeley, Juanita F. (Bentley), December 5, 2010. Survived by her daughter, Colleen O’Connor; sons, Joseph (Florence) Feeley, Donald (MaryJo) Bentley; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; long-time friend, Marian Merrill and many other special friends.

Funeral Services were held December 10 at the New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport 14450 in her memory.

*** Santoro, Rocco L. “Rocky,” Age 81, died December 3, 2010. He was the only child born to the late Rocco A. and Anna (Piedimonte) Santoro on March 15, 1929 in Holley. He worked at General Dynamics, Keiffer’s Electric and General Railway Signal, from which he retired in 1991. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and an accomplished accordion player. He is survived by his children, Rocco Christopher, Patrick M., Raymond J. and Mary (Tim) Altaner; grandchildren, Angelina Santoro, Bailey Woodfolk, Aaron Santoro, Joey Altaner; dear friend Shirley Emery.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said December 6 at St. Mary’s Church. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Contributions can be made to an organization of one’s choice in his memory.

PARMA

*** Wohlers, Merton C., November 29, 2010, age 91. Predeceased by his wife, Marjorie, 2001. Survived by his sons, Glenn and Rick Wohlers; grandchildren, Jason, Jodi Brown, Robyn, George and Stacy Wohlers; brothers, Carlton and Bruce Wohlers; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held December 8 at Parma Baptist Community Church. Interment, Parma Corners Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or his church Memorial Fund in his memory.

SPENCERPORT

*** Bell, Rosaria (Viccaro), On December 3, 2010 at age 89. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymond; son, Robert (Joanne) Bell; grandchildren, Melissa (Paul) Kowalewski, Christina (Kevin) Jeffers, Scott (Kimberly) Bell; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Rocky Viccaro; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held December 11 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece. Private interment.

*** Eberlin, Doris, December 3, 2010, at age 77, after a long illness. Predeceased by her husband, Ken; and son, Lee Eberlin. Survived by sons, Paul (Linda), Don (Ruth) Eberlin; grandchildren, Tom (Kelsey), Katie Eberlin; sister Char (Ray) Trenker; many nieces and nephews. Doris was a retiree of Spencerport Schools (Bernabi).

A Memorial Service was held December 6 at the Stephenson-Doughery Funeral Home, Inc., Avon. Private interment.

*** Wohlers, Carlton T., On December 2, 2010, joined his wife, Ethel Evans, in eternal sleep. Survived by his brother Bruce Wohlers. Father of Nancy (Patrick) Lee, Steven (Linda), Vickie (Todd) Souve and Bonnie Thieleman; grandchildren, Amanda (Sean) Knorr, Garrett Wohlers, Emily, Kayla and Allison Souve and Lynda Jayne.

A Celebration of his Life was held December 6 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, Inc., Spencerport. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.

AREA

*** Beatson, David H., of Rochester, a native of Spencerport, son of the late Harold and Millicent Beatson, died January 5, 2011 at age 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marianne; son, Christopher (Tracy) Beatson; daughter, Heather (Raymond) Hardaway; grandson, Liam; sister, Jaye (Ralph) Harmon; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Jones; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held January 8 at Lakeshore Community Church. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the U of R at Gift and Donor Records, Transplant-ation Gift Account, P. O. Box 270032, Rochester 14627 in his memory.

ALBION

*** Canale, Gerald J., died December 30, 2010 at the age of 82. He was born in Albion, a son of the late Same and Kate (Porcello) Canale. He was employed by Bewley Construction for 40 years and also worked on various farms. Gerald was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Laurene (Ruef); children, Joseph (Linda Jo), Nancy (Robert) Brown, David, Mary Kay (David) Vagg and Jerry Jr.; grandchildren, Justin, Aimee (Darryl) Koch, Matthew (Brooke), Jacob (Stephanie), Robert and Jennifer Brown, Elissa (A.J.) Corrigan, Bryan Vagg; great grandsons, Braeden and Ethan; sister, Josephine Simmons; brother, Tom (Rhonda); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Jane and Mary; brothers, Joseph, Sam and Tommy.

A graveside service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery in West Kendall at a later date. Contributions can be made to Holy Family Parish, 106 South Main Street, Albion, NY 14411 or Lakeside Hospital, 156 West Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420 in his memory.

BROCKPORT

*** Dolaway, Eva M., January 3, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Cortland; son, William; two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Anita (David) Vick and Barbara (Mark) Buchanan; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held January 8 at the John M. Hedges Funeral Home, Rochester. Interment, Webster Rural Cemetery. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.
