RALPH J. "VAN" VAN HUBEN
Ralph J. Van Huben of Lima and West Brighton, known as "Van" to friends, died on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Mr. Van Huben was born on March `7, 1906 in Geneva, New York, the son of Frederick Van Huben and Ethelyn (DeLaney) Van Huben. He was a member of the Lima Union Lodge #45 F&AM.
Mr. Van Huben is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret "Peg" and Elmer "Sonny" Hall of Rochester and Glenna Rockow of Penfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Leon J. and Beverly Van Huben of Rochester; close companion Esther Magar of Lima; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility (Activity Fund), 4223 Lakeville Road, Geneseo, NY 14454 or the Lima Volunteer Ambulance (P.O. Box 335, Lima, NY 14485) in his memory. Interment at Oakridge Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima.

PAUL E. WHITE
Paul White of Honeoye Falls died suddenly on Friday, February 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Gerry; daughter, Anne (Andy) Mroczek; two sons, Steven (Patricia Brooks) White and Kenneth (Diane) White; step grandchildren Joseph Colegrove and Richard Brooks; special nephew Richard White; many other nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Helen White.
Friends called on Monday, February 19 at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls, where services were held on Tuesday, February 20. Interment at Honeoye Falls Cemetery.
Friends wishing to may express their sympathy to the Honeoye Falls Ambulance Fund in Paul’s memory.

FORD E. MANNING (1 of 2)
Ford E. Manning of Lima died on Saturday, February 17, 2001. He was 88 years old. He is survived by three sons, David James Manning, John Paul (Peggy) Manning of Fayettville, NC, and Ronald Mark (Karin) Manning of Pittsford; sister, Ruth Evelyn Farnsworth of Rochester; brother, Robert (Thelma) Manning of Webster; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called on Tuesday, February 20 at the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima, where Mr. Manning’s Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, February 21. The Rev. Charles Whited officiated at the services.
Memorials may be made to Elim Fellowship, 1703 Dalton Road, Lima, NY 14485.

Ford E. Manning age 88, of Lima, died Saturday, February 17, 2001 at St. John’s Home in Rochester. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on May 18, 1912, the son of Floyd A. and Hazel E. (Mahaney) Manning. Mr. Ford was retired from Yaman-Erby Company in Rochester where he was a machinist and was a night security guard at Elim Bible Institute in Lima for many years. Ford is survived by three sons, David James Manning, John Paul (Peggy) Manning of Fayetteville, NC and Ronald Mark (Karin) Manning of Pittsford; a sister, Ruth Evelyn Farnsworth of Rochester; a brother, Robert (Thelma) Manning of Webster; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Friends called Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at the O’Connel1-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima where his funeral service was held Wednesday at l0 a.m. Rev. Charles E. Whited, Jr. officiating. Interment, Oakridge Cemetery in Lima. Memoria1s may be made be made to Elim Fellowship, 1703 Dalton Road, Lima, NY 14485.

CATHERINE WELCH COURNEEN
Catherine Welch Courneen, age 82, of Canandaigua, formerly of Lima and West Bloomfield, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at the Thompson Nursing Home in Canandaigua. She was born September 6, 1918 in Lima, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Gleason) Welch. Predeceaaed by her son Edward in 1977 and her husband Francis in 1985, she is survived by her daughter Bernadette Soffel and her son Martin Courneen both of Canandaigua; grandchildren Michael, Lisa, Tricia and Trevor; and six great grandchildren. Catherine enjoyed loving relationships with her nephews, nieces and friends.
Friends called on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at St. Rose Church in Lima, Rev. Larry Gross officiating. Interment St. Rose Cemetery.

ELSIE N. KAISER
Elsie N. Kaiser, age 90, of Avon, formerly of Caledonia, Buffa1o and West Seneca, died Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Breslau, Germany on February 27, 1910, the daughter of Otto and Elsie (Reipert) Mundry. She attended the Avon United Methodist Church, Avon Senior Nutrition Center and traveled with the Avon Senior Citizens. Her greatest love was gatherings with her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Richard Kaiser and daughter Hildegard Scherer, Elsie is survived by three grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Robert and Linda Scherer of Longwood, Fl., Ronald and LaVon Scherer, and John and. Lori Scherer, all of Avon; and seven grandchildren. Elsie’s calling hours and funeral service were held on Saturday, February 24, 2001 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. in Avon. Interment will be in the spring at Darien Cemetery. Rev, Larry Beman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Teresa House, 21 Highland Road, Geneseo, NY 14454.

H. JAMES DECARMO
H. James "Herbie" DeCarmo, age 62, died suddenly Friday, February 23, 2001 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born in Rochester, on January 13, 1939, the son or Herbert and Aquilla (Buck) DeCarmo. He was a graduate of Livonia Central School and served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. Jim was employed by the Village of Avon Department of Public Works for 28 years, retiring in May of 1999. He also worked part-time for 20 years for the Village of Avon Police Department and was currently a substitute bus driver for Avon Central School through the Laidlaw Transit Company. Prior to and following his retirement Jim enjoyed working for Avon area farmers. Joining in 1965, Jim was a long time active member of Pumper Company of the Avon Fire Department. Hs served as Fire Chief from 1980 to 1983 and 1987 to 1990. He was a past and current President of the Avon Fire Department. He also was a past member of the Avon-Rotary-Lions Ambulance Service.
Mr. DeCarmo is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Patricia Davin DeCarmo, his children, Margaret, Julie, Amy and Bill DeCarmo; Maggie (Ron) Parisi and Heather (Brad) Strange; five grandchildren; an aunt, Barbara DeCarmo of Florida; brothers-in-law, Mike (Jan) Davin and Tim (Kathy) Davin; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Lorraine Vonglis.
Friends called Sunday and Monday, February 25 and 26 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home in Avon. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at St. Agnes Church, Avon. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Avon Fire Department, 74 Genesee Street, Avon, NY 14414 or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.

RICHARD MILLER
Richard Miller, of East Bloomfield, formerly of Honeoye Falls, died Tuesday, February 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one sister, Pamella Minnehan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 2 at the Merton Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls.
