Reece, Mary E., October 22, 2000. In the loving arms of family and friends. She is predeceased by husband, John Calvin Reece (1988), and son, John Carl Reece (1971). She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Parker and son-in-law, Scott Parker; four grandchildren; sister, Virginia Fletcher; many dear friends.
A Service celebrating her life was held November 3 at Hope Lutheran Church, Greece. Contributions can be made to Hope Lutheran Church or Bethany Presby-terian Church.

Taber, Dorothy M., Peacefully, October 27, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, William Lawrence Taber in 1989. She is survived by her children, Shirley (David) Bloomer, Henry G. (Diane) Taber, Nancy J. Taber and David L. (Sam) Taber; brothers, Donald W. and Richard G. Palmateer; sisters, Alice MacBride and Florence Calhoun; sister-in-law, Lois Palmateer; 19 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held October 30 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Inter-ment Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to your favorite charity.

Ferrara, Dr. Paul A., 94, of 136 Chapel Street, Canastota, died Saturday, October 21, 2000, at the Oneida Healthcare Center following a brief illness. He was born on October 27, 1905, in Canastota, the son of Raffaele W. and Marie Ferrara. Dr. Ferrara had lived in Canastota most of his life. He was a 1924 graduate of Oneida High School, and a 1928 graduate of Colgate University. He graduated from the University of Rochester Medical School in 1932, served an internship at Highland Hospital in Rochester, and an externship at a University Hospital in Rome, Italy. He had been a General Practitioner in Canastota from 1935 to 1988.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters.
Dr. Ferrara had been a lifetime member of the Canastota Rotary Club, receiving their Roses to the Living Award in 1979. He had also been a member of the New York State Medical Society, and had been the physician for Diemolding Corporation, Queensboro Farm Products, and the Canastota Central School District, as well as the Health Officer for the Village of Canastota.
He had loved fishing, and was a voracious reader, as well as being an avid Yankees and Mets fan.
He married Rosalie Manieri on August 24, 1936 in Salamanca, NY. She predeceased him July 22, 1984. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Rolfe and Patricia Ferrara of Oneida; one daughter and son-in-law, Rosanne and Frederick Holbrook of Spencerport; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Dr. Louis and Phyllis Ferrara of Syracuse and Lena Ferrara of Oneida; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, a special care-giver, John Schnurr. Dr. Ferrara was predeceased by a son, Paul A. "Paulie" Ferrara Jr., who died December 31, 1986; a brother, Gerard Ferrara; and two sisters, Rosemary Ferrara and Angela Ferrara.
A Funeral Mass was said Friday, October 27 at St. Agatha's Church, Canastota. Burial was in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota. In his memory, contributions can be made to St. Agatha's Church, 329 North Peterboro Street, Canastota 13032 or Madison County ARC, 588 Broad Street, Oneida, NY 13421.

George, George Rollin, October 27, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Jean (Thomas) George; two daughters, Barbara Leigh (Lee) Zarpentine of Spencerport and Kathryn Anne (David) Pimm of Spencerport; two granddaughters; his mother, Verdia George of Missouri; his sister, Debra (Bill) Lowe of Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Connie George of Missouri and linda (Glenn) Waddell of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, William George; his brother J.C.; and sister, Marcellina Brooks. He was a seven year Nany Veteran and was a retiree of the Rochester City School District.
A Funeral Service was held October 30 at the Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment Fairfield Cemetery, Spencerport. Contribu-tions can be made to GRHCA/Hospice in his memory.

Parker, Reba M., Saturday, October 28, 2000 at age 91. She was predeceased by her husband, Erwin J. Parker and her son, Donald E. Parker. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Brown of Spencerport, Carl R. Parker of Texas and Clark E. (Sara) Parker of Missouri; two sisters, Elsie Espie of Missouri and Jean Francis of Canada; daughter-in-law, Joyce Parker of Geneseo; a family friend, Jay Christian; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held November 1, 2000 at Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home Inc., Spen-cerport. Contributions can be made to Spencerport Vol-unteer Ambulance or Memorial Fund of Ogden Presby-terian Church in her memory.

Shannon, Margaret, On October 25, 2000. Predeceased by brothers, Kenneth E., Norman J. and Willard. She is survived by her nephew, Timothy John Shannon.
Funeral Services and interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery at convenience of the family.

Pestell, David G., Age 65, died June 10, 2008. Survived by loving companion and friend Barb Hinton; daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Sietmann of Albion; sister, Dorothy (Ron) Gilbert of Florida; four grandchildren, Brionnah, Jenna and Jessica Raglan, Spencer Sietmann; the mother of his daughter, Mary Ann Pestell; cousin, Linda (Don) Prince; special friend and neighbor Wes; as well as several nieces, nephews; and nine beloved canine companions.
A Graveside Funeral Service was held June 13 in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Brockport Conservation Club in his memory.

Koons, Maureen "Mo," June 6, 2008. Survived by husband, James Sr.; son, James Koons, Jr.; daughter, Shelly Koons; grandchildren, Casey Koons, Michael Gray and PJ Lundy; great-grandchildren, Cole Koons and CJ Koons; sisters-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Gene and Sandy Koons, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Roman, Mrs. June Ott; cousins, Rona (Garth) Pearce, Neil (Doreen) Moore; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Michael and Heather Gray, Sr.
A Memorial Service was held June 10 at New Comer Funeral Home, Greece.

Barber, Mark A., On June 1, 2008 at the age of 58. Predeceased by his father Anthony Barber, mother Joann Barber and brother, Gregory Barber. He is survived by his sister Lisa Landicho; brother-in-law Thomas Landicho; niece Carmen Landicho; nephew Gregory Landicho; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass was said June 10 at Nativity Church BVM. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Richardson, Paulette C. (Crist) R.N., June 6, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her mother Henrietta Crist. Paula is survived by her father, James Crist; her loving husband of 35 years Steven Richardson; her children, Charity (Steven) Snyder, Edward (Amanda) Richardson, Jessica (Eric) Sandler; her grandchildren, Christian, Jared, Jonah, Caleb, Paige, Kate and Jordan; her siblings Fredrick (Joyce) Crist, Peter Crist, John Crist, Robert (Barbara) Crist, Cherie (John) Pensoneault; along with many other in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15 at the Brockport United Methodist Church, Brockport. Donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626 in her memory.

Sweeting, Richard W. (Dick), June 6, 2008, at age 90, at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center, Brockport. Dick is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Wilson Sweeting; sister Blanche Spencer (Libby, Montana); sister-in-law, Doris Sweeting (Shelby, North Carolina) and many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by brothers, sisters, and their spouses; Harold and Olive Sweeting, Wendell and Mary Sweeting, Ruth and Francis Shaughnessy, Hazel and Donald Burgett, Ralph Sweeting and Donald Spencer. Dick was an advertising executive with Eastman Kodak Company, served in the US Army and was a life member of Western Monroe Historical Society, Monroe Lodge No. 173 Masons and a member of Brockport United Methodist Church for many years.
A Memorial Service for Dick will be held on a date to be determined. Interment will be private. Donations can be made to Brockport United Methodist Church, 92 Main Street, Brockport or Lakeside Beikirch Care Center, 156 West Avenue, Brockport in his memory.

Mosele, Elwood L. "Woody," June 5, 2008, at age 87. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara T. Mosele. He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Sheila) Mosele, Diane (Paul) Nau, Deborah (Michael) Bommelje and Kimberly (Steven) Weir; his grandchildren, Kenneth Jr. and Christopher Mosele, Rebecca, Stacie, Kristen and Kathryn Nau, Meaghan and Samantha Weir. Woody was a former Elder Statesman for Gleason Works in Rochester.
A Funeral Mass was said June 13 at St. Christopher's Church, North Chili. Contributions can be made to the Churchville Fire Department in his memory.
