Raymond L. "Raymie" Mac Cheyne

Raymond L. "Raymie" Mac Cheyne of 9731 Route 89, Trumansburg passed away unexpectedly at the Cayuga Medical Center on Friday, April 25, 2003 after a brief illness at the age of 68.
Born in Trumansburg on September 5, 1934, Raymie was the son of Clifford L. and Marion E. "Mermie" Goodrich Mac Cheyne.
As an Honorary Member of the Trumansburg Fire Dept., Raymie was always eager to be of assistance in any way possible. He became a well-recognized figure over the years with his position on the back of the fire truck during the Fireman's Parade, tossing candy to everyone.
Raymie could often be found at the IGA in Trumansburg as he helped his dear friends Jim and the late Alice Crimmins in their store. The Old Pump House in Trumansburg was another favorite place where Raymie felt welcome at any time.
He followed the NASCAR circuit closely as he wrestled with which of his favorites to root for, among them were Wallace, Elliott and the Earnhardt's. Raymie was also a NY Yankees and NY Giants fan extraordinaire who never missed a game on TV.
In addition to his parents, Raymie was preceded in death by his "Aunt Mike", Uncle Lew Raymond and Dorla Cronk. He is survived by his sister, Patricia J. Plataniotis of Trumansburg; a cousin, Deborah Nottke of Trumansburg and her children, Stevey Vanessa, Benjamin and Michael : a cousin Luann Bennett and her children Sean, Ryan, Kayla and Leequan and many additional cousins and friends.
The family will be present to receive their friends at the funeral home on Monday (today) from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Services will be held at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Pete Hood officiating. Reception immediately following at the American Legion on Seneca Road.
Contributions in Raymie's memory may be directed to the Trumansburg Fire and Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 418, Trumansburg, NY 14886 or to the donor's favorite charity.

Douglas S. Conway

Douglas S. Conway of 3450 West Covert Road, Interlaken passed away at home while surrounded by family on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the age of 63.
Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada on May 26, 1939 Doug was the son of Leo Joseph and Mary Josephine Alexander Conway. He has been an Interlaken resident for 29 years coming from Upham, New Brunswick.
Doug had a great love for all outdoor wildlife and enjoyed listening to country music. He enjoyed working side by side with his family in their operation of Conway & Son's Lawn Mowing in Interlaken.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn M. Smith Conway; 3 sons, Kenneth E., Johnny D. (Michelle) and Richard D. (Michelle); 3 daughters, Gloria Dempster (Blair), Dianne Champion (David) and Roxanne Panipinto (Thomas); 4 brothers, Harold, Patrick, Paul and Charles; 2 sisters, Stella Prendergast and Marie Lalande; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive their friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Sunday, April 27, 2003 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 4:00 pm.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the many friends who have shown their love and support throughout Doug's lengthy illness. Anyone who may wish to make a memorial donation to assist with final arrangements, are asked to mail them to Mrs. Evelyn Conway at 3450 W. Covert Rd., Interlaken, NY 14847.

Lynn R. Walden

Lynn R. Walden of 1229 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca (formerly of Trumansburg) passed away at the Lakeside Nursing Home on Thursday, May 22, 2003 at the age of 80.
Born on April 20, 1923 in Waverly, New York, Lynn was the son of Lynn L. and Nora Crowley Walden.
He retired as a salesman with North American Philips Lighting Corporation with over 40 years of service.
In his leisure time Lynn enjoyed working in the yard to maintain it's immaculate appearance. He also had many memorable times while camping and boating but his most treasured activity was playing the organ and he played it with passion.
In addition to his parents Lynn was preceded in death by a son, Jack Walden on November 9, 1996. He is survived by his wife Margaret L. Dean Walden of Ithaca; a son, James (Marilyn) Walden of Lake City, FL; a step-son, George (Karen) Compton of Brooktondale; 2 daughters, Connie (Dennis) Black of Snellville, GA and Carol (Stanley) Carpenter of Trumansburg; a brother, Edward (Dorothy) Walden of Haines City, FL and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Ithaca on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Eugene O'Hara, OFM Cap. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lynn's memory may be directed to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204 or to the Activities Fund at Lakeside Nursing Home, 1229 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.

MEACHAM, RUTH

Ruth Meacham, 20 year resident of the Andrus Home, died there on October 12, 2008. On July 3, 2008 she celebrated her 100th birthday with her family at her side. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Clinton J. Meacham. Dear sister of the late Fred Speckel. Cherished aunt of Suzanne Todd and her husband Rob and great aunt of. Amy Broomall, Katie Jacobs, Emily Meyers and their children Harpur and Hudson Broomall and Dylan Meyers. Memorial service on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 1 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 100 Underhill St., Yonkers, where Ruth and Clint were longtime members. O'BRIEN, JOHN J.

John J. O'Brien formerly of Scarsdale passed away on October 12, 2008 in Minneapolis Minnesota following an automobile accident. He is survived by his wife Maria, of Minneapolis and his parents, Margaret and Edward of Scarsdale, his brother Edward and sister Margaret of New York City and his brother Thomas and his wife Lisa of Chicago. John was a 1981 graduate of Scarsdale High School and received his BA from the University of Minnesota. He worked in graphic design in Minneapolis for Target and Best Buy. Rita A. O'Brien of Bronxville, formerly of the Bronx, on October 17, 2008. Wife of the late David O'Brien. Mother of Gail McGillion, Maureen O'Brien and Donna (James) Moran. Grandmother of eight and Great-grandmother of eight. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville on Monday October 20 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. RINCK, CAROLYN

Carolyn Rinck, 63, died in Fayetteville, GA on October 15th. She was born April 1, 1945 in Yonkers and retired from the City of New Rochelle as a personnel administrator. Survivors include her husband, Bill Rinck; stepdaughters, Maureen Virano and Karen Tilearcio; grandchildren, Jessica and Heather Virano, Marion, Grace, Gregory, and Gabrielle Tilearcio; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Wesley; mother, Dorthy Skidgell; sister, Diane Lamoureux; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Patricia Skidgell; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Russell Skidgell, Jr. Calling hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Gabriel Catholic Church Building Fund, 135 Antioch Road, Fayetteville, GA 30215.
