Robert J. Naun

Robert J. Naun, Devoted and loving Husband, brother and uncle, resident of Mahopac, NY, Passed away on November 24, 2011. He was born June 10th, 1938 in New York City the son of the late John and Elsie Naun. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Ruth Ann Sebastian Naun, by his brother John Naun and his wife Patricia Giles Naun, and by their Children his beloved niece and nephew Caitlin and Christopher; he was predeceased by his brother James. An alum of Iona college, he did graduate work in history at Cornell before completing his PhD in counseling at Fordham. He loved and was very proud of his work as a guidance counselor, both in New York City at Bushwick and Truman high schools and at Yorktown high school. Mr. Naun was deeply involved with Border Terrier in the United States. He bred, showed and judged the breed and was known worldwide in the dog fancy for his expertise. He was active in the breed for over forty years and served as president and historian for the parent club of the breed.
Wake to be held at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6, Mahopac, NY 10541 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Family will receive friends on Tuesday November 29. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1344 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588 on Wednesday, November 30 at 10 a.m. Interment at Rose Hills Memorial Park to follow. In Lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714 (www.lustgarten.org), or the charity of your choice.

Murphy, Arlyne

Murphy, Arlyne age 82, of Somers, NY died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Northern Westchester Hospital Center, Mount Kisco.
She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Murphy.
Arlyne was employed by the County of Westchester as a Recreation Therapist for the Ruth Taylor Institute.
Being a devoted and loving animal advocate, she provided for all of the animals in her neighborhood.
Loving mother of Joanne Vente of West Hartford, CT, and Barbara Vente of Hartsdale, NY, and devoted grandmother of Kerri Cook and Christopher Saelens
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY.
The funeral will be Saturday, July 5 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Wagner officiating.
Burial will follow at ST. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
The ASPCA @aspca.org or Best Friends @ bestfriends.org.

Jane Marie Griffin - July 25, 2011

Jane Marie Griffin, a 30 year resident of Seattle, WA, entered into rest Monday, July 25, 2011.
Daughter of the late William H. Griffin, Sr. and Mae (Mary) H. Batura Griffin, she was born on May 16, 1929 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Ms. Griffin had a very successful career in several states, settling in Seattle as Director of Nursing at Harborview Medical Center in 1981. Jane was an avid collector of antiques.

Eric Griffin Tomaskovic - July 25, 2011

Eric Griffin Tomaskovic, a resident of Bronxville, entered into rest Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home.
He was 30. Son of Deb Nassani and her husband Lou of Meadview, Arizona and John Tomaskovic and his wife, Dorene of Ossining, he was born February 19, 1981 in Carmel.
Eric most recently worked for Hudson Valley Bank in Tuckahoe.
Most importantly, Eric was loved by his family and friends and will be missed forever.

Caldararo, Winifred

Caldararo, Winifred on April 6, 2007 at the age of 94. Mrs. Caldararo was born on August 25, 1913 in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Lena Dorio Daddino. She lived in the Katonah and Somers area for many years, and she will be remembered as the pillar of her family whom she loved, cherished and cared for.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard. She is survived by her loving daughter Lucille Fusco of Somers, her devoted Granddaughter Dana Fusco of Woodside, NY: her dear sisters and brother, Vera Remsen of Bedford Hills, Rosemary Demeglio of Merrick L.I. and Mario Daddino of North Salem. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 8th at the Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah from 2 to 5pm only. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 9th is St. Joseph's Church, Croton Falls, at 10am. Entombment Ferncliff Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers contributions to the St. Jude's Childrens Fund are requested.

Casabona, Patrick A., Jr.

Casabona, Patrick A., Jr., age 26, of Somers, NY died February 22, 2008.
He received a BS and MBA from St. Johns University, Jamaica, NY.
Pat was employed at Ajilon Finance in NYC.
He was a member of the Italian American Club in Somers.
Pat loved life and he was a friend to all. He particularly loved music, travel and sports.
He is the beloved son of Frances and Patrick Casabona, Sr. of Somers. He is the loving brother of Amanda Casabona-Cohen and her husband, Larry of Somers. He is the much loved uncle of Ethan and Nate, and he is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Friends may call on Monday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at CLARK ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, KATONAH, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption R C Church, Katonah. Burial will follow at Ivandell Cemetery, Somers.

Casey, John J., Sr.

Casey, John J., Sr. a lifelong Pelham resident, passed away on March 18, 2008. He was 88 years of age. Mr. Casey was born on November 2, 1919 in Yonkers, NY to Mary Ellen (Duggan) and Martin Casey. He attended Power Memorial High School in New York City. From 1942-1945, Mr. Casey served as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Air Force.
On December 14, 1942, Mr. Casey married the girl of his dreams, Eleanor R. Camp.
In 1945, they moved to Pelham, where they lived together for the next 62 years.
Mr. Casey worked at the Williamsburg Savings Bank for 34 years, retiring in 1982 as Vice-President. From 1966 to 1974, Mr. Casey served as Pelham Town Assessor.
John Casey will be remembered for his vast knowledge on a wide array of subjects ranging from history and geography to carpentry, auto mechanics, and especially, model railroading.
Mr. Casey is survived by his wife, Eleanor R. Casey, sons John, Jr. (Connie), William and Richard, daughters Kathleen Nazarenko (Walter) and Bronwyn Hertz (James), thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Ann Casey.
Visitation: Monday 2-4 and 7-9PM Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY
Funeral Mass: Tuesday 11AM at St Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster, NY.
Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla.
