SMITH, GLENNISE E.

Glennise Smith Stroud, 83 years old, of 75 West Broadway, Central Nyack, New York, died September 14, 2008 after an extensive illness. She was born on March 19, 1925 in Richmond Virginia to her mother and father, Evelyn and Raymond Smith. Glennise attended The Dunbar School, in Southside Virginia. She moved to New York in 1947 where she sought to improve the quality of her life, take advantage of the opportunities that existed in the North, and pave the way for her parents who joined her once she became settled. She is survived by two sisters, Delois (Mickey) Branch and Evelyn Tucker of Virginia. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra and Lillian Stroud, and two sons, Reginald Jenkins and Raymond Stroud. She is predeceased by her son, Ronald C. Stroud and daughter, Delois Sellers, She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of great friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 PM at the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Nyack. A Homegoing Service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 10:00 am at the church with the Rev. Dr. Willie L. Harriston, pastor officiating. Burial will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery. ULICH, KEITH

Keith T. Ulich, 38, of New Port, RI, formerly of Carmel, NY died on September 15, 2008 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was born on April 19, 1970 in Carmel, NY to Robert and Geraldine (Slattery) Ulich. Mr. Ulich graduated Archbishop Stepinac H.S. in 1988, Clarkson University in 1994 and received his Masters from St. Peters College, MBA, CFP. He was a Senior Bonds Trader for, Charles Schwab in Jersey City, NJ. He married Pamela Lancaster of New Port, RI on November 13, 2005. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Pamela who died on July 3, 2008. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Geraldine, his two brothers, Robert and Michael, his two nephews; Robert and Kyle and his niece Lindsay. Visitation will be on Thursday and Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Cargain Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church. Private Cremation. AZEVEDO, MARGARET C.

Margaret C. Azevedo, formerly of Ossining, died May 3, 2008. She was 94. Margaret was born in Ossining, December 11, 1913 and was the daughter Ercole and Bicia Romano Foschini. Margaret was a communicant of St. Ann's Church. Margaret is survived by her daughter Beatrice, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers Larry and Rocco Foshini and two sisters Pauline Palombo and Josephine Goncalves. A Memorial Mass will be at St. Ann's Church Thursday September 18th at 11AM. BACH, RICHARD J.

Richard J. Bach passed way on August 29, 2008 do to injuries sustained in a motorhome accident in Seqouia National Park, CA. He was born Richard Joseph Bach in Bronx, NY on May 28, 1932 to Richard T. Bach and Alice H. Stockheimer. Richard attended Our Lady of Mercy elementary school, Simon Stock High School and Fordham University in the Bronx. He served in the Marine Corps from 1950-1952 and attained the rank of Lance Corporal. Richard married Linda Bresloff in 1957, now divorced and moved to New Rochelle, NY where he lived until his untimely death. Richard sold automotive tools, was a master wooden boat model builder, antique car restorer, member of the Antique Automobile club of America, photographer, adventurer, cat lover, and had a passion for making new friends. He is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Anne Bicker, his children, Amy Bach and Timothy McCoy of Scardale, NY, Richard C. Bach and Patricia Bach of Carlsbad, CA, Alicia and George Grenville of Mill Valley, CA and Christopher and Holly Bach of New Rochelle, NY. Surviving are 10 grandchildren, Richard J. Bach, Karen Bach, Eric Bach, Gabriel Bach, Aidan Bach, Alicia Kaufman, Alexandra Kaufman, Madeline Grenville, Charles Bach, Caroline Bach. They will miss Pop-Pop. Memorial will be held at MacMenamins Grill & Chef Works, 115 Cedar St, New Rochelle on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 12 noon.

BARKER, JOHN USHER JR.

John Usher Barker, Jr, of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on September 11, 2008, he was 77. Mr. Usher was the Chief Operating Officer for the Hudson River Teacher's Federal Credit Union in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Mr. Barker was born on July 25, 1931 in Memphis, TN to John Usher and Nell Carter Barker, Sr. John served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict Era. On January 22, 1966 he married Patricia Burke in Memphis TN. An avid golfer, John also loved working on his yellow Volkswagen. He is survived by his wife Patricia Barker of Cortlandt Manor and three sons; John Usher Barker III, Charles Powers and James Powers all of Florida. Also survived by two grandsons, Robert and Steven Powers and one great grandson Steven Powers, Jr. Predeceased by a son Robert Powers and a sister Martha Bittle. Michael F. Howard
(August 14, 1919 - July 30, 2012)
U.S. Veteran

Michael F. Howard passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2012 in Florida. He was born on August 14, 1919 in the Bronx, NY to Michael and Hannah (Handel) Howard. He proudly served his Country in the US Army during World War II, where he achieved a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and the Presidential Unit Citation, as a member of the 29th Infantry. He was married for 62 years to Kathryn (Sanacore) who predeceased him in 2002. Mike was a member of the Teamsters, was a bus driver for the Mahopac and Carmel School Districts and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies were; hunting, going on cruises, watching the Yankees, playing cards and spending money.
He is survived by Michael (Peggy) of Las Vegas, Kathryn (Doug) Casey of Carmel, NY, Carol St. Auburn of Stormville, NY, John of Ocala, Barbara of Stormville. He is also survived by many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was a great husband, father, grandparent and was loved by all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc. 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512 (845)225-3672. A Mass will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512 with interment to follow at Raymond Hill, Route 52, Carmel, NY 10512.
