PROTANO, DONATO “DAN”, on October 14, 2008 at age 90. Born in Rocca Secca, Italy on January 31, 1918. He served in the Army during WWII where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. For many years he worked in Auto Body Repair and was the proprietor of Dan’s Auto Body. He was a charter member and past president of the Alessandro Manzoni Lodge of the Sons of Italy, a second home to Dan. He was also a member of VFW Post 1156. Dan is the beloved husband of Pia (DeCarolis). In addition to his wife he is survived by his cherished daughters, Marie Margiotta (husband Philip) and JoAnn Yanaros (husband Marcus), grandchildren, Philip Jr. (wife Jan) and Bianca, Margiotta, great-grandchildren, Zachary, Luke & Catherine. Visitation Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass Saturday 10am St. Gregory the Great RC Church followed by entombment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial donations can be sent to the Alzheimers Association.
RAPAGLIA, STEPHEN PAUL, a Rye resident, died sadly on November 18, 2008 at age 59. Born September 21, 1949 to Joseph & Jean Rapaglia. Stephen worked as a chauffeur. He is survived by his beloved father, Joseph, cherished sons, Joseph Rapaglia (wife Karla), and Stephen Rapaglia, dear grandson, Carmine, and loving brothers, William Rapaglia (wife Gloria), Richard and Carl Rapaglia. Also survived by his former wife, Jean Bances and many loving nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Jean and his brother Joseph. Visitation Thursday evening (11/20) 5-9pm. SASSONE, MILDRED, of Rye, died December 22, 2008 at age 83. Born July 12, 1925 to Frank & Hilda Sabito. Mildred worked as a Bookkeeper for Empire Brushes in Port Chester. Beloved wife of the late, Michael Sassone. Survived by her cherished children, RoseAnn Minnerly and Lawrence Sassone, grandchildren, Jennifer Page and Michael Minnerly, and her great grandchildren, her pride and joy, Megan and Kevin Page and Aaron Minnerly. LAMBERTSON, SYLVIE (Schiano), a Harrison resident, passed away May 19, 2008 at age 61.Born January 12. 1947 to Guido & Maria Schiano. Silve worked as an X-Ray clerk and also in Record Keeping for United Hospital in Port Chester. She was a member of the Calabria Society and was also a 65 year member of the Wednesday Night Club. Sadie was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Lemma. MARX, MARY ANN, of Larchmont, on July 30, 2008 age 71. Mary Ann was born in Chicago, on March 16, 1937 to Arthur and Mary (Keck) Klima. A devoted homemaker, Mary Ann is the beloved wife of George III, devoted mother of George IV.(wife Amy) Christopher (wife Kristen), Michael, Thomas and Mary Louise Farr (husband Eric).
