Nicole Lynae Smith of Millerton, PA and Curt Wayne VanGorden of Tioga, PA were united in marriage on June 18, 2005 at The Pennsylvania Avenue Methodist Church, Pine City, N.Y. The 1:00 p.m. ceremony was performed by Reverend Howard Woodruff. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Shelley Smith of Millerton, PA and the granddaughter of Richard and Marie Smith of Pine City, C. Haines and Carole Scureman of Mansfield, PA and the late Boyd Belknap, Jr. She attends the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, majoring in Elementary Education. The groom is the son of Dave and Etta VanGorden of Tioga and the grandson of Larry Gee of Tioga, Betty Gee of Bath, Alberta "Dude" McConnell of Elkland, PA and the late Peter VanGorden. He is a CPL with the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC. The maid of honor was Whitney Smith, sister of the bride. The attendants were Vanessa Leone, Brooke Westlake, Victoria Leone, Amy Schloerb and Nicole Kendrick all friends of the bride. The flowergirl was Katelyn Gilbert, cousin of the groom. The best man was David VanGorden, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Bruce VanGorden, brother of the groom, Chase Miller, friend of the groom, Justin Smith, friend of the groom, Brandon Smith, brother of the bride, Mike Jones, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Devyn Smith, cousin of the bride. A reception was held at the Mansfield Firehall. The couple honeymooned on a cruise to the Bahamas and they reside in Jacksonville, NC.
