DEMPSEY - 50TH

Richard A. and Mary J. Dempsey both of Elmira Heights, N.Y. will celebrate 50 years of marriage on September 3, 2005. Richard A. Dempsey and the former Mary Jeanne Marshall were married September 3, 1955 by Father Conley at St. Anselms Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. The couple have four children: John J. Dempsey of Rochester, N.Y., Thomas P. Dempsey of Jersey City, N.J., Eileen B. Phillips of Harrisonburg, VA and James F. Dempsey of Elmira Heights, N.Y. They also have three grandchildren: Jane, Lenny and Mary Rose. Mr. Dempsey retired after 32 years from Ann Page Foods and Mrs. Dempsey is a homemaker and a current member of Elmira Heights Historical Society.
