Jennie Elise Valk and Michael William Merna were married on May 15, 2004 at the Columbus Athenaeum in Columbus, Ohio. The Bride is the daughter of John and Gesa Valk of Horseheads, New York. The parents of the Groom are Michael and Mary Ann Merna of Columbus, Ohio. Jennie received her Ph.D. from the Ohio State University and is currently employed as a special education consultant. Michael received a B.S. in Business Administration also from the Ohio State University and is a certified public accountant and a partner in a small firm. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean and now they reside in Columbus, Ohio.
