DEATON - MCGROGAN

Dr. and Mrs. John Deaton of Fort Smith announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Deaton of Warrensburg, MO., to Capt. Jason Daniel McGrogan of Knob Noster, MO., son of Daniel McGrogan and Deborah McGrogan, both of Watkins Glen, NY. A 3:30 pm ceremony is planned July 30th at First Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Ms. Deaton is the granddaughter of Assenneth Garza of Galveston, TX and the late Ricardo Garza and the late Dr. and Mrs. Hobart Deaton. A graduate of Southside High School, she has a bachelor's degree from the University of Tulda and a master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is employed by Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Mr. McGrogan is the grandson of James Hanshaw of Dryden, NY and the late Frances Hanshaw and the late John and Catherine McGrogan. A graduate of Watkins Glen High School in New York, he has a bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ and a master's degree from Oklahoma State University. He serves in the Air Force, stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
