Bruno Frustaci
Bruno Frustaci, age 73 of Canton, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2002 in Aultman Hospital following a sudden illness. Bruno was born February 1, 1929 in Fairhope to the late Michael and Concetta (Lijoi) Frustaci. He was the former owner and operator of A-1 Buckeye. Bruno was an army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post #44 in Canton. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Senior Citizens and St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton. Bruno was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus. As a member of Council's #2530 and #341, he served in many capacities including Past Grand Knight, Financial Secretary and District Deputy. He was also a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Msgr. Graham Assembly where he served as Faithful Navigator. Bruno leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Helen (Burkhart) of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne Marie and David Koch of Gainesville, FL; two sisters, Virginia Bridenthal and Esther Lyons, both of Louisville; a brother, Solie Frustaci of Massillon; two grandchildren, David J. Koch and Christine Koch. He is preceded in death by three infants sons, Michael, Andrew, and Mark; a sister, Lena Vertolli; a brother, Andrew Frustaci. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Mancini officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.

Earl M. Smith
Earl M. Smith. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Moran officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday 7-9 p.m.

Florence Alexander
Florence Adaline Alexander, age 89, formerly of Navarre, OH and more recently a resident of Harborside Health Care, Bryan, OH, passed away Friday morning, June 21, 2002, following an extended illness. Born in Dover, OH, February 12, 1913, to her parents the late Harry and Hazel North. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Floyd James Alexander, her husband, Clarence Alexander, December 30, 1981, her daughter, H. Faye Limbacher, siblings, Kathlene Crowell, Leatrice North and Harry North Jr. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Doris and George Kaiser, Florence (Betty) and William Sellers, Mary Lou and Dave Pitts; son-in-law, John Limbacher, her siblings Edgar North, Floyd North, Howard North, Maxine and Robert Peters; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond L. Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Monday 12-1 p.m.

James R. Deal
James R. Deal, age 85, of Canton, died early Wednesday morning in Mercy Medical Center. A life resident of Canton, Mr. Deal was the former owner and operator of Deal's Garden and Pet Supply. He was a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, OH and was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1995; a brother, George L. Deal, in 2002. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara VanHorn of Canton, Cassandra Hail of Fairlawn, OH; two grandchildren, Cassandra S. and James Paige VanHorn, both of California; sister, Elizabeth (Betsy) Blohm of Canton. A private service was held on Friday in the North Lawn Mausoleum with Dr. William R. Watt officiating. Those who desire may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Stark County, 5100 Peach St. NE, Louisville, OH 44641 or to the Animal Protection Guild, 3124 9th St. SW, Canton, OH 44710. The Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jeanette Callehan
Jeanette Callehan, 73, of Salineville, OH, passed away Friday, June 21, 2002 in Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a sudden illness. Friends may call at the Everhart Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz Monday from 6-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday followed by committal services at Eden Church Cemetery, Navarre. Following the committal services, family and friends are invited to Juanita Shepard's home. Final arrangements are incomplete.

John B. Smith
John B. Smith, age 38, of Kissimmee, FL., passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday June 17, 2002. John was born April 21, 1964, in Cleveland. He was a self-employed newspaper distributor and an avid Cleveland sports fan. John enjoyed the outdoors, swimming and playing golf. John leaves behind his mother, Patricia Smith of Parma; his father, John J. and Beth Smith of Kissimmee, FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and Joe Haught of Louisville, Wilma and John Salvatierra of Altadena, CA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Holly Smith of Greenville, SC., Dick and Connie Smith of Canton, MI; a grandmother, Wilma Barry of Parma; seven nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Bernard Smith; a grandfather, Bernard Barry; and grandparents, Valentine and Isabel Smith. Funeral services for John will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Judith C. Blanc
Judith C. Blanc, age 66, of Canton, died Friday morning in Aultman Hospital after a four month illness. She was a life resident of the Canton area and was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. She was employed by Prime Time Seniors at Aultman Hospital. Judy was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton, the Massillon Women's Club, the Canton Players Guild, and was an avid volunteer. Survived by her husband, Ron J. Blanc; a brother and sister-in-law, Clifford F. and Helen Miller of Canton; a nephew, Jeffrey L. Miller of Mentor, OH; two great nieces, Kathleen and Ann Margaret Miller; a great nephew, Daniel Miller. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Rev. Eli O. Klingensmith officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Maxine J. Hull
Maxine J. Hull, age 76, of Canton, died Friday in Aultman Hospital after a five month illness. She was a life resident of Canton and was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray A. Hull of St. Luke Lutheran Community; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bernie and Linda Hull of Canton, Ron and Patti Hull of St. Louis, MO, Rick and Margie Hull of Naples, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Carol Fink of Canton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3828 Cleveland Ave SE, with Rev. Norman E. Dew officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the services (2-3 p.m.). Lamiell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Luke Foundation, 220 Applegrove St. NE, North Canton, OH 44720.

Michael George Martin
Michael George Martin, age 49, of Canton, passed away June 17, 2002 in his home following an extended illness. Born October 25, 1952 in Canton, son of the late George and Jeanne (Ketter) Martin. Michael was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Hilda Ketter. Survivors include one son, Eric Martin of Massillon; one sister and brother-in-law, Mindi and Greg Van Nostran of Canton; one brother, James Martin of Canton; and special friend, his dog, Friskie. At his request there will be no funeral services and his body will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Protection Guild's Spay-Neuter Fund 3124 Ninth St SW, Canton OH 44710.

Olin Griffin. Services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Myers - Kreighbaum - Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday 3-6 p.m.

Richard J. Thomas
Richard J. Dick Thomas, age 68, of California, passed away June 19, 2002 after suffering a stroke, in San Bernardino Community Hospital. The son of the late, Elmer and Martha Thomas of Beallsville, OH. Survived by brother, Robert Thomas; sisters, Helen and Ken Ray, Paulina Willis and Verda and Mel Freeze, all of Canton, OH and a niece and six nephews mourn his loss, as well as friends in Canton, North Canton, OH, and recently in Boron, CA. Services are pending at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton, OH.

Shelvy J. Greavu
Shelvy J. Greavu. Services will be Monday, June 24, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave., with Pastor Robert Graber officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m.
