Thomas W. Montgomery, P.E. (“Tom”)
Thomas W. Montgomery, born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 14, 1925, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2008. He lived in the Akron area off and on since 1958 with 12 years in Lynchburg, VA.
Tom retired from The Babcock and Wilcox Company in 1988 after 41 years of service in engineering, marketing, planning and personnel. He served in the U.S. Navy as an Engineering Officer during World War II and was recalled for the Korean conflict in 1951. He received a BME from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Kent State University. Scholastically he earned memberships in Tau Beta Pi, Pi Tau Sigma and Beta Gamma Sigma, was a member of Phi Kappa Tau, and a Professional Engineer in the State of New York. Tom served the Lord as an elder and deacon in Lakeview Christian Church and with the Gideons International. Other community activities included the Boy Scouts, Kiwanis, Junior Achievement, Franklin Board of Zoning Appeals, Portage Lakes AARP, Akron Men’s Garden Club, and Christian Business Men’s Committee.
Tom was preceded in death by Mable (Roush), his first wife and mother of his four children; wife, Lillian (Emch); brother, Dr. John R. Montgomery of Delano, CA; and step-daughter, Connie Wilson. Tom is survived by his wife of 11 years, Louise (Morris); sons, David (Jane) of Copley, Timothy (Debra) of Powell, OH, Matthew (Jeani) of Charlottesville, VA, and Rev. Danny (Marilyn) Wheeler of Scotia, NY; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; plus step-daughters, Linda (Gary) Lawrence, Patricia (Jim) Mesko of Akron, and Janice (Dan) Oravec of North Canton.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. Map to funeral home, on Wednesday, March 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be on Thursday, March 20 at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Christian Church, 4613 S. Main St. Map to church, with Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating. Interment at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, VA, on Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International or a charity of the donor’s choice, in memory of Tom.

Tim Boswell
COPLEY- Timothy M. Boswell, 35, passed away suddenly August 25, 2001. Timothy was a member of Goss Memorial Church. He was in the towing business for the past 15 years and currently employed with First Class Towing. He loved auto racing and was a driver at Barberton Speedway for 18 years. Tim was a graduate of Copley High School and a life long resident of Copley.
Tim is survived by his wife of 10 years, Libby; sons, Adam and Andrew; daughter, Tristen; parents, Russell and Lorraine Boswell; mother-in-law, Billie Teeple; brother, Rusty (Nina) Boswell of Copley; and sister, Lori Boswell of Kenmore; nieces and nephews, Brandon, and Halle, Amber, Donald and Tyler; best friend Rich Lushes Jr. and many other family members and friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 29, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM., at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton where services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM. with Pastor Bud Couts officiating. Interment at Copley Cemetery.
A trust fund has been established, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in care of the family at First Merit Bank in Copley and Bakers Automotive, on South Main Street in Akron, in Memory of Tim.

Victorine (Vickie) Blaser
Victorine “Vickie” Blaser, 90, passed away January 9, 2008. Vickie was born in Fleming, Kentucky on October 1, 1917. At a young age her family moved to Akron where her father found work at Firestone. They settled in the Kenmore area, where she lived the rest of her life. Vickie graduated from Kenmore High, making many lifelong friendships. She met Burt Blaser, and they married on September 16, 1939 at Park United Methodist Church. Together they raised two boys, Dean and Dennis. Later she worked as a telephone operator at the downtown O’Neil’s. Vickie worked there until the mid-seventies, when her husband retired from Goodyear. In 1981 her husband Burt passed away. Vickie found some comfort from his passing by joining the Norton Senior Citizen Center and becoming active in their many activities, particularly square dancing. It was there that she met Walter Severance, who would become her long-time companion. They enjoyed many wonderful times together, traveling and square dancing.
Vickie is survived by her sons, Dean (Carol) Blaser of Bryan, Ohio and Dennis (Nancy) Blaser of Tallmadge; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her loving companion, Walter Severance.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. Map to funeral home, on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., with services beginning at 11 a.m., Rev. Dr. Linda Somerville officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park United Methodist Church, 2308 24th St. SW, Akron, OH 44314, in memory of Vickie.

William Andrasko
William Andrasko, 86, went home to be with his beloved wife, Sinka, on February 21, 2008. He was born December 10, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He served in the Merchant Marines, retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber in 1976, then was the owner and operator of B & A Bait. He loved fishing, camping, flea markets, reading, bird watching, and his poodle, Leon.
William was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna “Sinka”; son, John Jacob Andrasko; grandson, Chad Shook; sister and brothers, Helen Brazos, John Andrasko and George Andrasko. He is survived by his son, Fred (Yvette) Andrasko; daughters, Susan Andrasko and Anna (Craig) Shook; sister, Mary Reynolds; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and close friends, Wayne and Elaine Mayall.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Copley Health Center and Dr. Clavicella for their care of William.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m., with services beginning at 12:00 p.m., Pastor Jim Stetler officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.

William H. Bayless "Billiam"
Manchester, Ohio - Bill, 72, passed away March 25, 2006. He was born on December 31, 1933 in Akron and served in the U.S. Army. He was the owner/operator of Manchester Body for 45 years leaving behind trusted employees Jerry Jenkins, Paul Thomas and John Harris. Bill was a member of the Civitan Club, Portage Lakes Eagles #2736, Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club and was also a 27 year member of the FOPA Lodge 6.
Bill is survived by his wife, Robin; children, Karen Bayless, Marc William Bayless and Andrea (Pete) Bayless-Kargoll all of Florida; grandchildren, SPC Marc Bayless and Peter Kargoll; extended family, Brenda (Jim) Whitmyer, Fred Boggs and Janet Doll and Bill Pickle of Florida, longest friend to Bill and his children; devoted pets, Butterball, Sara and Abbey and many nieces and nephews and numerous loving friends.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home Map This Location , 3326 Manchester Rd. on Wednesday, March 29 from 4 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating.
Interment at Manchester Cemetery.
Military Honors to be provided by Firestone VFW Post 3383.

William Seigfreid
NORTON, Ohio - William F. Seigfreid
William F. Seigfreid, 82, who set a great example of quiet courage throughout his illness went home to be with the Lord February 16, 2008. William was born July 13, 1925 in Marion, Ohio to Frank and Beulah Seigfreid.
He served proudly in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of Church in the Falls. William retired after 46 years of service at Firestone Tire and Rubber and enjoyed stained glass work and gardening.
William is preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, M. Lois Seigfreid; daughter, Nancy Seigfreid Burgess and brother, James Seigfreid.
He is survived by his wife, of 5 years, Ethel Hanson Seigfreid; daughters, Deb (Randy) Hanson, Lisa Seigfreid and Pam (Dan) Centea; sons, Randy (Deb) Hanson, Rick (Mary Helen) Hanson; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren.
William was the sweetest man on this earth with not a mean bone in his body and now has gone onto heaven. We thank him for his Godly example as a husband, father and grandfather.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home Map To Bacher Funeral Home 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton on Tuesday, February 19 th. from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11 to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday February 20th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Brazel officiating.
Interment to follow at Lockwood Cemetery with military honors presented by Firestone Post 3383 of Akron.

William R. Goodman
William “Billy” Goodman, 53, of Norton, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007.
Born in Akron on February 9, 1954, Billy was a caring and generous man. He was very involved with his family especially with sporting events. He coached Norton Baseball Little League for many years. Billy loved stock car racing and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and the owner of W. R. Goodman Trucking Company.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lydia; sons, Joey, Zach, Chase and Luke; daughter, Natalie (Rob) Lax; brothers, Charles (Gladis) Goodman and John Goodman; sisters, Carol (Bill) Hohman and Mary Messina; grandchildren, Hannah and Abby Lax; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and special friends Rusty and Sherry Cremi.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Liberty Goodman and sister, Norma.
Family and friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home in Norton, 3250 Greenwich Road, on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with visitation continuing after the service until 8 p.m.

Frank W. Stevens
Frank W. Stevens, 87, of Cadiz, O., formerly of Jewett, O., died Friday, March 15, 2002, at Carriage Inn of Cadiz.
He was born April 21, 1914, at Rt. 2, Freeport, O., to the late Thomas H. and Mary Tidrick Stevens.
He was a retired owner, operator of Stevens Welding in Jewett. He was an Army veteran, having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, James, Clarence, Ralph, Vane, Vern and Thomas Stevens; and three sisters, Amanda Lee, Ressie Lyle and Bessie McKibben.
He is survived by a sister, Nellie Cramblett of Avon Park, Fla., and several nieces, including local residents Jean Stevens and Nellie DeWalt of Cadiz, and Harriet Stevens Lee of Jewett.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 in Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home at 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, O.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. in Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Jewett.

Alta M. Deibel
Alta M. Deibel, 85, of Dover, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, in Morning View Care Center at New Philadelphia, following an extended illness.
Born July 22, 1916, in Sugarcreek, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Thomas and Clara Amelia Zurcher Burrier. Alta was baptized in the United Church of Christ in Ragersville, and attended the Ragersville School. She was a member of First United Methodist in New Philadelphia, and was a devoted homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, James Allen Deibel and his special friend and companion, Judy Swinehart, of Dover, and Robert Lee (Joann) Deibel of Alligator Point, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jody Deibel, James Allen Deibel Jr., and Eric Gronberg; three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Otis Deibel, who died in 1981; granddaughter, Jeannie Deibel; sister, Florence Rothacher; four brothers, Earl, Louie, Walter and Paul Burrier.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Dr. Steven R. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 17, 2002, from 2 to 5 in the funeral home. Beverly J. Sharrock
Beverly J. Sharrock, 62, of 4400 Windy Willow Dr., Palm Harbor, Fla., and formerly of Newcomerstown, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Bay Front Medical Center at St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was born July 31, 1939, at Coshocton, O., the daughter of the late Wilbur A. and Wilma G. Stewart Calhoun.
She was the salutatorian of the Newcomerstown High class of 1957.
She was the owner of Bev and Cheryl’s Dance Studios for 25 years located in Coshocton, Newcomerstown, Uhrichsville, Bolivar and Dover.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church at Newcomerstown.
She instructed dance for Newcomerstown High School’s class plays. She was past president of the National Assn. of Dance and Affiliated Artists. Bev was active in the Little Theater in New Philadelphia and the Follies in Newcomerstown.
She assisted in many church functions, including religious and interpretive dance and was a former leader of the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
In November 1984 she was in an automobile accident on Rt. 39 in Dover and has been in medical care since that time.
She is survived by her former husband, Max Sharrock of Newcomerstown; three sons, Mark A. Sharrock and wife Donna of Newcomerstown, Kenneth Max Sharrock and wife April of Clinton, and Kevin P. Sharrock and wife Shari of Newcomerstown; two daughters, Cheryl Morris and Jacqulien S. Drinkard and husband John, all of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Lucas J. Morris, Andrew J. Morris, Ryan S. Werner, Sara E. Sharrock, Lorin M. Drinkard, Chelse Drinkard, Alissa J. Sharrock, Julia F. Sharrock and Gabriel K. Sharrock; two brothers, Richard E. Calhoun and wife Lynn of Plant City, Fla., and Steve V. Calhoun and wife Lori of Longwood, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Earl J. Sharrock, and her mother-in-law, Jesse M. Sharrock.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Addy Funeral Home at Newcomerstown with Rev. Donald Silverthorne officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown. Calling hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
