Phillip L. Million
PIERPONT - Phillip Lee Million, 75, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at University Hospitals Cleveland.
The son of Omer and Hazel (Martindale) Million, he was born on May 20, 1936 in Miami County, Ohio. He moved with his family to Pierpont at a young age and graduated from Pierpont High School. He was a member of Pierpont Presbyterian Church where served as a Trustee.
On August 21, 1985, he married his loving wife, Betty Torrence Million, and they would have celebrated twenty-five years of marriage this August.
Phil retired from True Temper after thirty years of service. Not one to sit still, he then worked for Western Reserve Feed Store for eleven years before retiring officially.
Phil had a love of all animals, but especially Arabian horses and dogs, and being a farmer. He and Betty always enjoyed going to horse shows. A wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa, he will be missed by those he loved and who loved him in return.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Million; his children, Tim (Wendy) Million of Geneva and Kim (Dan) Blair of Painesville; step-son, Jeff Peck of Conneaut; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janice Hicks.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Million in infancy; his sister, Donna Blair; and his parents.
Private family services will be held at the CHILDS-WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Rt. 7, Pierpont with interment in East Conneaut Cemetery, Conneaut, Ohio.

Phyllis J. Greenfield
KINGSVILLE - Phyllis J. Greenfield, 71, formerly of Fenton Avenue, Conneaut, died Thursday evening, July 31, 2003, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville.
She was born on December 15, 1931, in Springboro, PA, a daughter of Thaddeus E. and Bertha A. (Duncan) Hague.
A Conneaut resident since 1941, Mrs. Greenfield graduated in 1949 from Conneaut High School. She married Joseph Marion Greenfield on June 3, 1950 at the E.U.B. Church in North Conneaut. Over the years she was employed at Cummins Canning Company (while in high school), The Astatic Corporation (at the time of her marriage), Pelton's Department Store, Strawbridge's Gas Station in East Conneaut (as secretary), and retired in 1991 after 10 years as secretary at the administration building for Conneaut Area City Schools.
She was a member of Amboy United Methodist Church, and had been active in P.T.A. and Mother's Study Club while her children were young. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; cooking and baking; walking; running; reading; traveling; dancing; shopping; and decorating her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda J. and husband John Coccitto of Conneaut; two sons, Terry W. and wife Mary Jane Greenfield of Manassas, VA, and Joseph N. and Nancy Greenfield of Wilmore, KY; six grandchildren, Matthew J. and wife Harmony Greenfield of Dumfries, VA, Sarah J. Greenfield of Woodbridge, VA, Adam Greenfield, and Jodie Greenfield, both of Wilmore, KY, and Ashley Coccitto and Brittany Coccitto both of Conneaut; two great grandchildren, J. Collin Richardson, and W. Tyler Greenfield, both of Dumfries, VA. Also surviving are her sister, Thelma (Mrs. Emil) Boyko of Cleveland, her brother-in-law Dayton and wife Lois Greenfield of Conneaut, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph on November 27, 2002; three brothers, Neil, Leon, and Harold Hague; and her sister, Arlene Chastain.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2003, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty Street, Conneaut, OH, with Mrs. Greenfield's son, Joseph N. Greenfield, officiating. Burial will be in East Conneaut Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 3, 2003, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Amboy United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Unit of the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mary Lou Wietrzykowski
GENEVA - Mary Lou Wietrzykowski, 73, of Madison, died Friday, August 1, 2003, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
Born on September 15, 1929 in Painesville, she was the daughter of Myrtle (Trexler) and Cecil Nelson. She married Leonard Wietrzykowski in October of 1952 in McKeas Rock, PA.
She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #8548 in Madison, and the American Legion Post #336 in Painesville. She loved cooking all her life and became "Granny" of Granny's Restaurant in June of 1989. She was crowned Madison Old Fashioned Days Queen in 1997.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Leonard Wietrzykowski of Madison; four daughters, Deborah (Bill) Johnson of Kirtland, Elizabeth Piche of Willoughby, Theresa (Scott) Burr, and Carol (John) Ray, both of Madison; one son, Leonard (Linda) Wietrzykowski of Madison; 17 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; and one sister, Beatrice Daughtery of NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Gertrude; and two brothers, Cecil Nelson, and Robert Hanna.
A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, time of service is pending. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
Calling Hours will be on Sunday, August 3, 2003, from 4 to 6 p.m., and on Monday, August 4, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Laura O. New
AUSTINBURG - Laura O. New, 64, of the Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at her residence.
Born on October 5, 1938 in Achison, Kansas, she is the daughter of Alfred R. and Ellen M. (Kier) Gainer.
A resident of Rome, GA until 1999, she married Norman there on April 9, 1955. She also worked for Shaw Industries in Dalton, GA as a yarn mill worker for several years.
She enjoyed going to yard sales, loved Christian movies, outdoors, and picnicking with family. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Norman, in 1988.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah G. Carver of Rome, GA, Ellen A. Thomas of Ashtabula, and Laura N. Fowler of Jamestown, PA; a son, N. David New II of Rock Mart, GA; a step-sister, Odell Mitchell; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the FLEMING FUNERAL HOME, 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson, with Gordon Emerson, Lay Pastor at the Jefferson First Methodist Church, officiating.
Calling Hours will be held Sunday, August 3, 2003, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Ella Giangola
ASHTABULA - Ella Giangola, 95, a resident of Ashtabula, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, in Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born on September 28, 1907 in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Louis and Lucy (Baffa) Santabarber.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Altar and Rosary Society of the church, and the Anita Garibaldi Lodge.
A seamstress, she worked for Brunners, Morell Dress, and Leather Craft.
She enjoyed her family, cooking, crocheting, bingo, bocci, bowling, and the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Isabel Giangola of Ashtabula; three grandsons, Donald (Vickie) Giangola Jr., Gerald (Nora) Giangola, and Joseph (Kim) Giangola, all of Ashtabula; great grandchildren, Joey, Jordan, Jennifer, and Nicole Giangola, and Jason and Brad Myllymaki; three brothers, Raymond and Tom DeJohn of Cannonsburg, PA, and Arthur DeJohn of Crystal River, FL; and a sister, Flora McCarthy of Cannonsburg, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph (Pep); a son, Donald; three brothers, Falco, Joseph, and Carl DeJohn; and two sisters, Nettie DeMaro, and Angeline Ballo.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2003, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with burial to take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 West 19th Street, Ashtabula on Sunday, August 3, 2003, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The ladies of the Anita Garibaldi Lodge will hold services at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2003, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church or St. John And Paul School.

E. Jean Smith
MELBOURNE, FL - E. Jean Smith, 84, a long time Ashtabula resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2003, in Melbourne, FL.
Born on October 17, 1918 in Apollo, PA, she was the daughter of William and Marie Sober.
Jean, known to her family and friends, graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1936 and later was very active in the Pythian Sisters Lodge of The Knights of The Pythias.
Survivors include a brother, William Sober of Niles, OH; two sons, David H. (Sherry) Scott, and Richard L. (Nancy) Scott; and one daughter, Barbara J. Faine; one grandson, David (Traci) Nelson, and two great grandsons, Logan and Richard Nelson, all of the Melbourne, FL area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ellen M. Moore and June (Monaghan) Njus; a grandson, Richard Lee Nelson Jr.; and husbands, Harvey A. Scott, John Terrill, and Roland Smith.
Private Memorial Services were held at THE BEACH FUNERAL HOME in Melbourne, FL.

Elsie Irene Cozadd
KINGSVILLE - Elsie Irene Cozadd, 92, of East 43rd Street, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born September 29, 1910, in Conneaut, the daughter of Carroll and Cora Mae (Fields) East, and had been a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Cozadd worked for Carlisle's for 25 years as a sales clerk in the drapery and ladies lingerie departments.
She was a member of East Side Presbyterian Church, where she belonged to the Martha Circle, and the Order of the Easter Star, #591.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Mead of Conneaut; seven grandchildren, Cathy Dufour, Linda Bednarik, Jay Mead, Karen Sexton, Heather Pickett, Laurel Gentile, and Noelle McIlwain; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cozadd, on May 5, 1990; one son, Charles E. Cozadd; one sister, Helen Randall; one brother, George Dewey East; and her parents.
Services will be at Ducro Funeral Services at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2003. The Rev. Shane Nanney, Pastor of the East Side Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Ashtabula.
Calling hours will be held at the Ducro Funeral Services, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2003.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Side Presbyterian Church, 3440 Edgewood Drive, Ashtabula, OH 44004, or the Hospice of Ashtabula County, 2420 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004.
