Patricia J. Wood-Millick
ARVADA, Colo. - Patricia Jean Wood-Millick, 60, formerly of Ashtabula, died Sept. 26, 2001, in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
She was born Nov. 16, 1940 in Ashtabula, a daughter of James M. and Agnes M. (Barnes) Wood. She married Earl "Bud" Millick on May 27, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mrs. Millick was a retired employee of the Coors Brewery.
Survivors include a daughter, Boneita Brown of Parachute, Colo.; three stepdaughters, LeeAnn Johnston, Holli Griffith and Susan Lindquist, all of Ashtabula; two stepsons, Earl Millick Jr. of Ashtabula and Bradley Millick of Stone Ridge, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mesquite City Cemetery, Mesquite, Nev.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Society.

Michael John Rich
ASHTABULA - Michael John Rich, 38, of Jefferson Avenue, died Monday, July 28, 2003, at Austinburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born on January 17, 1965, the son of Richard and Joann (Sturgill) Rich and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; two children, Michael Rich, Jr., and Myranda Rich; brother, Bruce Rich; and parents, all of Ashtabula.
A Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2003, at the DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula. Rev. Robert Falke, Pastor of Church of the Living God, will officiate. Burial will be in Saybrook Cemetery.
Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday, July 31, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, August 1, 2003, from 12 to 1 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family.

Vasillo C. Economus
ASHTABULA ­ Vasillo C. Economus, 68, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born May 23, 1934, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Louis and Evriklia (Saroglou) Chekouras and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A graduate of the Andrews School for Women in Willoughby, she later earned her degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She also attended Lake Erie College, where she earned her teaching degree. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a teacher for the Ashtabula Area City Schools.
She also worked with her family at Chekouras Brothers Candyland, on Main Avenue, during her high school years.
A member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Mrs. Economus enjoyed golfing, bowling and painting during her younger years.
She is survived by her son, Dimitrios Economus of Columbus; her sister, Evangeline Chekouras of Akron; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Economus, in 1987 and by her parents.
A service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. The Rev. Theofanis Nacopoulos, of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, of Erie, will officiate. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling hour at the funeral home is from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Thomas R. Geballa
ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - Thomas R. "Gummy" Geballa, 78, of State Road, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at his home.
He was born Jan. 18, 1924, in Brier Hill, Pa., the son of Michael and Victoria (Dublac) Geballa. He had lived in Ashtabula since 1950, moving from Uniontown, Pa.
Mr. Geballa was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a 23-year employee of Union Carbide Corp., retiring in 1980.
His memberships included the National Slovak Society, American Legion Dewey Howlett Post 103, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 943 and the East Ashtabula Club. Mr. Geballa also loved fishing.
He is survived by his sister, Marie Hamascheck of Middle Island, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Michael, John and Leo Geballa Sr.; and two sisters, Margaret Goodman and Emma Burke.
Service of Blessing is 10 a.m. Saturday at Kish Funeral Home, 19 Legion St., Republic, Pa., 15475. The Rev. Stephen R. Bugay of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill, Pa.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
The Kish Funeral Home also will have visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Marjorie B. Ruuska
ASHTABULA - Marjorie B. Ruuska, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Carington Park nursing home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Lynn and Elsie Wrightnour.
After her father's death, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Mark Carney. Ruuska was a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
She worked as a meat cutter at Value King stores. She was known for her gentleness and kindness to others. She also was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Harper of Painesville; a son, David of Ashtabula; two sisters, Betty Pinney of Kent, and Mary Calaway of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, William Harper, M. Renee Harper and Allison Ruuska; and a great-grandson, William Harper III.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matt W. Ruuska; her parents; and her stepfather.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 933 Michigan Ave., Ashtabula. The Rev. Richard Bowen will officiate.
Burial is in Edgewood Cemetery.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Group of Bethany Lutheran Church or to the Silver Sands Shared Residence.
The Potti Lakeside Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, is handling the arrangements.

Margaret M. Cragon
ASHTABULA - Margaret Mary Ann (Mahoney) Cragon, 75, of Lake Road died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Mrs. Cragon was born July 26, 1927, in Ashtabula, the daughter of John Patrick and Teresa Mary (Monaghan) Mahoney. She was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Cragon graduated from St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland and was a member of the Alumni Society of St. Vincent's.
She worked as a registered nurse at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland until 1964 and Ashtabula County Medical Center until her retirement in 1970.
Mrs. Cragon was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church and also a member of Mother of Sorrows Church. She had been a foster parent for 10 years through the Catholic Services League, rearing 13 foster children.
Survivors include her husband, William M., whom she married Oct. 17, 1964; three daughters, Mary Brigid Williams of Springfield, Va., Cathleen Ann Drew of Ashtabula and Teresa Gertrude Cragon of Akron; son Kevin Patrick Cragon of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Amanda Cragon and Eric and Kayl Williams; and two brothers, John Patrick Mahoney of Conneaut and William Francis Mahoney of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Judge Joseph Mahoney, Robert Mahoney and Thomas Mahoney.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mother of Sorrows Church, 1464 W. 6th St., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kevin Peters officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mother of Sorrows Church.

Thomas J. Kaydo
ASHTABULA - Thomas J. Kaydo, 38, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 3, 1963, in Ashtabula, the son of Richard M. and Marianne (Vendely) Kaydo.
He was a 1981 Edgewood Senior high School graduate and worked for the Buckeye Local School System for the past eight years as a boiler technician at Braden Junior High School.
Mr. Kaydo was a member of St. Joseph Church and the East Ashtabula Club. He enjoyed muscle cars and weightlifting.
Survivors include his parents; five brothers, Rick, Gary, Jeff and David, all of Ashtabula, and Mark, of Painesville; and paternal grandmother, Julia Kaydo of Footedale, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian, in 1987; and by grandparents Alex and Anna Vendely and Michael Kaydo.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Church, 3330 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Fred Nachtigal officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
