Philip S. Olekshuk, 94, of Ashtabula, died Friday (Sept, 30th) at his home. He was born November 27, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Steve and Anna (Niznik) Olekshuk.
He was a graduate of Kingsville High School and served in the Army Air Corp in the late 1930’s.
He had been employed with True Temper in both Ashtabula and Geneva and retired after more the 34 years in 1987.
He is a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Ashtabula. He loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Alice (Muholland) Olekshuk whom he married July 26, 1969; a son, Philip James Olekshuk of Ashtabula; two step-daughters, Janet (Doug) Bevins of Kentucky and Mary Alice (Lewandowski of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Christine, Rebecca and Johndra and one great granddaughter, Roneta; his caregivers and brother-in-lawn and sister-in-law, John D. (Diana) Muholland of Ashtabula. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Nicholas Olekshuk and a sister, Ann Jennings.
Graveside serves will be Wednesday (Oct. 5th) at 11:30 AM at Gageville Cemetery, Plymouth-Gageville Rd. Sheffield Twp with Pastor Karen Tewes of the Faith Lutheran Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Faith Lutheran Church, 504 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. The Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.

Richard C. Reinker
November 29, 1926 - September 23, 2011
Services: September 28th, 2011 at 11:00 AM
Richard C. Reinker, 84 of Wade Ave., Ashtabula, died Friday (Sept. 23rd) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Herbert and Irma Reinker.
He was a 1944 graduate of Lakewood High School; he then served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. Following discharge from the Navy he attended Case Institute of Technology where he graduated in 1949. While in College he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi; Theta Tau and Tau Beta Pi.
Following graduation he worked at the Ashtabula Bow Socket from 1949 to the plant closing in 1982 as V.P. of Engineering. He then worked for Penco Tool Co, from 1983 to 1992 in sales and engineering; since 1992 he has been a realtor for Harbor Realty. Community y activities have been the Jaycees, Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce, YMCA president, the United Way, he was a charter board member of the Samaritan House and a member of BPOE #208.
He has been an active member of the Redbrook Boat Club where he was involved in many special projects and a very active member of the Messiah Lutheran Church where he served terms as Council President, treasurer and on the property committee.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, his home property, his church property, sports, community activities, photography and the volleyball league at the YMVA.
Surviving him is his wife Ruth whom he married May 3, 1952; two sons, Richard W. and Keith H. (Patty) Reinker of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Brandon Reinker, Michael Bucci and Michelle Bucci and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, George and Ralph.
Funeral service will be Wednesday ( Sept. 28th) at 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 615 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Pastor Michael Meranda officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday (Sept.. 27th) from 6 to 8 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church Foundation.

Linda Montgomery
February 14, 1940 - September 19, 2011
Services: September 23rd, 2011 at 3:00 PM
Linda (Wiand) Montgomery, 71 of Valley View Blvd., Ashtabula, died Monday (Sept. 19th) at her home. She was born February 14, 1940 in Jamestown, Pa. the daughter of Howard and Betty (McElhaney) Urey and was then adopted as an infant by C. Roy and Geneva Wiand.
She had worked for the Green’s Ladies Store in Greenville, Pa. and the Reyers Shoe Store in Sharon, Pa. She then worked in the Advertising Department of the Ashtabula Star Beacon where she retired from. Following her work at the Star Beacon she was a an Assistant Manager of the Ashtabula Cinema Center.
She had a rare disease called Fabreys, which causes poor circulation, heart disease and high cholesterol.
She loved and served the Lord and was of the Protestant faith. A memorial service will be Friday (Sept. 23rd) at 3:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Hermitage, Pa.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Pentecostal Church of God.

Alvin H. Wilber
June 9, 1924 - September 20, 2011
Services: September 24th, 2011 at 11:00 AM
Alvin H. Wilber, 87 of Atlantic St., Ashtabula, died Tuesday (Sept. 20th) in the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1924 in Rock Creek, Ohio the son of Merle and Agnes (Hoyt) Wilber and has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a 1943 graduate of Rock Creek High School. Following graduated he join the Army 82nd Airborne during World War II serving in the European Theater of Operation where he made three combat jumps. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, painting, boating, golf and bowling and his dog “Annie” was important to him.
Surviving him are his son, David (Marie) Wilber of Ashtabula; a daughter, Gayle Wilber of Ashtabula; four grandchildren, Tyler (Jaime) Wilber, Todd (Aimee) Wilber, Tracy (Scott) Lewis and Allison Miller; seven great-grandchildren; his dear friend and companion, Dee Briel; four brothers, Adelbert of Warren, Ivan of Rock Creek, John of Rock Creek, Robert of Rock Creek and Gordon of Rock Creek; and three sisters, Georgia Frye of Mentor, Margaret Anderson and Evelyn Fernandez of Rome, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois Wilber in 2010 and by three brothers, Larry, Norman and Donald.
The funeral service will be Saturday (Sept. 24th) at 11:00 at Saybrook united Methodist Church, 7900 S. Depot Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Jeffrey Stoll officiating. Burial will be at Saybrook Township Cemetery with American Legion Post #103 conducting military rites.
Calling hours will be Friday (Sept. 23rd) from 6 to 8 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 west Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with a Masonic service at 7:45 with Triandria Lodge#780 F & AM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 6600 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio or to the Saybrook United Methodist Church.

Anne E. Russell
January 6, 1937 - September 16, 2011

Anne E. Russell, age 74, North Ridge East, Ashtabula Twp., died late Friday evening at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born January 6, 1937 in Rome Twp., the daughter of Willard & Muriel (Sanford) King and has been a resident in the Ashtabula area since 1973, coming from Texas. She was married to Roy V. Russell on August 12, 1955. When able, Mrs. Russell enjoyed bingo and watching the QVC channel.
Survivors include three children, Jeffrey L. (Lisa) Russell of Pierpont Twp., Karen P. Walker & Kimberly (BryanWallace) Russell, both of Kingsville Twp., 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy in 1987, two great-grandsons, Michael & Keegan, two sisters and three brothers.
Private family services will be held with burial in Crosby Cemetery, Rome Twp. The Ashtabula Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, is handling arrangements.

Jason D. Kilburn
February 4, 1976 - November 5, 2011

Jason D. Kilburn, age 35. W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, died unexpectedly Saturday at his residence.
He was born February 4, 1976 in Painesville, the son of Robert & Keryn (Owens) Kilburn and has lived in Andover and Ashtabula most of his life. He was a former nursing assistant at Carington Park Nursing Home.
Jason attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church, was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, love to play chess, play World of War Craft on the computer, marvel comics and horror movies.
Jason is survived by his wife, Heather A. (Ramey), two daughters, Courtney of Newton Falls, GA & Kahlan of Ashtabula, his mother, Keryn Geissler of Ashtabula, two sisters, Mary Jo Geissler of Ashtabula & Sherilyn Floss of Jefferson and his grandmother, Mary Owens of Ashtabula.
His father, Robert, grandfathers, Raymond Kilburn & Sam Owens and an aunt, Marilyn Kilburn, all preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 P. M. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula with a remembrance service to be held at 7:00 P. M.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family, in care of Mary Jo Geissler, 1030 Meadow Lane Dr., Ashtabula, OH 44004, envelopes will also be at the funeral home.

Arlene J. DiDonato
June 26, 1926 - November 1, 2011

Arlene J. DiDonato, age 85, of Ashtabula, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 at her home.
She was born June 26th, 1926 in Geneva, Ohio the daughter of Lee and Elizabeth (Shaughnessy) Fuller. On September 5, 1944 Arlene J. Fuller was married to John DiDonato, Sr. and they shared 46 years of marriage until his death in 1990. She was a homemaker most of her life and was very proud of her family. She will be deeply missed.
Arlene is survived by her sons: John (Bonnie) DiDonato, Jr. and Carl (Cindy) DiDonato; grandchildren: John (Kristine) DiDonato, III, Jeff (Danielle) DiDonato, Jim (Denise) DiDonato, Kim DiDonato and Charlotte (David) Norris; great-grandchildren: Jodi, CJ, Jessica, Michael, Courtney, Kayla, Matthew, Alexandra, Nicholas and Zoe; great-great-grandchildren: Brianna, Katlynn and Jasmine; sister, Beverly Potter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Dana Fuller and sister: Orange Merriman.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 P. M. Friday, November 4th, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Mt. Carmel Church, 1200 E. 21st St., Ashtabula. Friends may call Friday morning from 11:00 A. M. until 12:30 P. M. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. Interment will be next to her husband in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
