Clarence W. Clark
JEFFERSON - Clarence W. Clark, 76, of Morgan Road, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at the Jefferson Geriatric Center.
He was born Feb. 17, 1962, in Union, Ky., the son of George P. and Mary (Webb) Clark and had been an area resident for the past 28 years.
Prior to his retirement in 1988, he worked in the shipping department for Bailey Controls, Wickliffe.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church of God, Jefferson.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Audry (Keyes), whom he married May 29, 1950, in Cleveland; 13 children, Frenchie Miller, Timothy, Paul, Marcus, and Cheryl Butts, Novan and Audry Lynette Turner, and Doran, all of Ashtabula, Geraldine Clark, Ralph, Michele Warren and Robin Clark, all of Jefferson, and Dorothy Butts of Portsmouth, Va.; 68 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert of Danville, Ill., and Ceola of Columbia, Ill.; and a sister, Gertrude Robinson of Danville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Andrews; two brothers, Charles and Calvin; and his parents.
Service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Peoples Baptist Church, West Avenue, Ashtabula. Elder Robert Keyes of Apostolic Faith Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson.
Calling hours are from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Faith Church of God, 773 Griggs Road, Jefferson 44047.
Ducro Funeral Services - Jefferson Home, 17 N. Market St., Jefferson, has charge of the arrangements.

William C. Dennison
JEFFERSON - William C. "Bud" Dennison, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000 at his home.
Born Dec. 11, 1919 in Bulltown, W. Va., he was the son of Sylvester and Ada (Herndon) Dennison. He had been a resident of Jefferson since 1955, coming from Jane Lew, W. Va.
Mr. Dennison was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He married Mary M. Morell Aug. 12, 1946 in Oakland, Md. He was an employee of Reliance Electric Corp. for 29 years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Dennison was a member of V.F.W. Post #943, American Legion Post #152, and the Reliance Retirees Club. He was an active supporter of Jefferson area high school athletic events, spending four to five nights a week at various athletic events.
Survivors include two sons, James Darryl Morell of El Segundo, Calif., and Dennis P. Morell of Ashtabula; two daughters, Linda D. Mellin of Jefferson and Wilma L. Seeley of Ashtabula; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Dennison of Tallmadge; and three sisters, Ruth Jones and Opal Williams of Jefferson, and Jean Williams of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, James D. Morell, Jr.; and a sister, Lucille Larse.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Athletic Boosters. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

William L. Cunningham
JEFFERSON - William L. Cunningham, 55, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Ashtabula, the son of William W. and Mary (Smith) Cunningham, and was a lifelong Ashtabula County resident.
Prior to retirement in 1993, Mr. Cunningham worked as a laborer for Union Local 496 for 28 years.
He was a member of the Ashtabula and Geneva Veterans of Foreign Wars posts and the Jefferson Eagles Club.
He enjoyed spending time with his son, racing, fishing, building things and gardening.
Survivors include a son, William W. of Jefferson; a daughter, Rhonda Cunningham of Ashtabula; two grandchildren, Bill and Lacey; four brothers, Frank of Washington, Jim of Geneva, Jeff of Ashtabula and Neil of Dorset Township; eight sisters, Karen Loomis of West Palm Beach, Fla., Carol Dawson of Cortland, Elaine McGilzery of Ravenna, Donna Supplee of Jefferson and Charlotte Diamond, Brenda Jessup, Roberta Abrhams, Sherry Eubank, all of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ducro Funeral Services ­ Jefferson Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.

Joseph R. Saksa
JEFFERSON - Joseph R. Saksa, 82, of Lenox-New Lyme Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at St. Joseph Health Center, Andover.
He was born March 15, 1920, in Colerain Township, a son of Andy and Francis (Angelovich) Saksa.
Mr. Saksa moved to Jefferson in 1988, coming from St. Clairsville.
He was a member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, Jefferson.
He loved fishing and walking and enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include a brother, Carl of Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Francis Demuth, Anne Mobley and Mary Saksa; and three brothers, Andy, John, and George.
Service is 11 a.m., Tuesday at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, 35 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Stephen Wassie officiating. Burial will take place at the family's convenience in St. Clairsville.
The Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, has charge of the arrangements.

James R. Whitney
RUSKIN, Fla. - James Robert Whitney, 53, of Ruskin, Fla., died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Tampa General Hospital.
He was born in Geneva, the son of Robert C. and Elizabeth (Miller) Whitney.
He operated Ridge Manor Properties, Inc., a family-owned real estate investment and management company in Tampa, since the mid-1980s. Previously, he was a general contractor and built hundreds of homes in Gainesville, Fla., and Palatka, Fla.
He received an associate degree in arts from St. Petersburg Junior College, then went to the University of Florida where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
A sailing enthusiast, he won several sailing trophies.
Survivors include his mother, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and his wife, Mary.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Kenneth, on Sept. 9.
A service was Oct. 6 at the Lewers Funeral Home in Ruskin.

Donald E. Bussard
JEFFERSON - Donald E. Bussard, 86, of Susan Drive, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1914, in Springfield, the son of Pearl and Mary H. (Cripps) Bussard and had lived in Jefferson for the past three years, coming from Bexley.
Mr. Bussard was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre in New Guinea, Australia and the Philippines during World War II.
He was a watchmaker by trade, but worked for 20 years for the federal government at the Newark Air Station in repair and inspection of guidance packages, retiring in 1980.
He married Marietta Downs on Feb. 14, 1946, in Greenfield.
Mr. Bussard owned the Bussard Jewelry Store from 1950-1968 in Greenfield. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson and Greenfield Masonic Lodge 133, Free & Accepted Masons. He also volunteered for Dawes Horticulture Arboretum in Newark for many years and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a daughter Dawn Grimm of Jefferson, three grandchildren, Mark Grimm with the U.S. Marine Corps in Germany, Melanie Grimm of Columbus, and Michael Grimm of Jefferson; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, David of Woodbridge, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marietta, in 1993; and an infant son, James Donald.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 89 E. Satin St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Fred Grimm and the Rev. Tony Dusso of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 89 E. Satin St., Jefferson 44047 or to Hospice of Ashtabula County, 2420 Lake Ave., Ashtabula 44004. Envelopes will be at the funeral home.
