Mary Horvath
PAINESVILLE - Mary (Kozsey) Horvath, 84, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, after a short illness.
She was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Fairport Harbor, to Andrew and Anna Kozsey. She lived most of her life in Painesville. She married Michael Horvath June 15, 1940.
Mrs. Horvath was a retired employee of Fisher-Fazios in Painesville. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Painesville and the Senior Citizens in Fairport Harbor.
Survivors include son Francis Horvath of Euclid; grandchildren Michele Palmer of Madison, Kimberly Ullman of Chagrin Falls, Michael Horvath of Mentor and Holly Renick of Madison; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sister Anna Hada, brothers Andrew and Steven Kozsey and her parents.
Mass of Christian burial is 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church.

Lucille Getzy
PAINESVILLE ­ Lucille Getzy, 79, of Painesville, formerly of Geneva, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at LakeEast Hospital of Painesville.
She was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Cleveland, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Musal) Schultz.
Mrs. Getzy retired in 1984 as owner and cosmetologist of Terry's Blue Room in Fairport Harbor.
Survivors include brothers, Frank Schultz of Geneva, and William Schultz of Concord; and sisters, Josephine Barnum of Concord, and Helen Kasper and Sophia Payne, both of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew in 1967; her parents; and brothers, Joseph and Edward Schultz.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Monday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Calling hours are from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Nancy Anne Stearns
PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP - Nancy Anne Stearns, 55, of Grand River, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born March 21, 1947, the daughter of Arthur Stearns and Donna (Lakari) Stearns Thorpe.
A Harbor High School 1965 graduate, Ms. Stearns graduated from Kent State University in 1969 with a degree in education and later earned a masters degree from Cleveland State University.
She taught health and physical education at Cleveland University Heights Schools for 14 years. Active throughout Mentor, she was a former manager of the AAA office, owner-operator of Destinations Cafe and Travel Agency, and worked at Borders Bookstore.
She enjoyed camping, biking, canoeing and was a worldwide traveler who took many cruises.
Ms. Stearns was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Ashtabula, and the Rotary Club in Mentor.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Gordon Thorpe of Ashtabula; her partner and care-giver, Hellery Jones of Grand River; and two stepsisters, Patricia Hladek of Ashtabula and Deborah Rodda of Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1980.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 933 Michigan Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. David Hofer and Chaplain Jim Fondris of the Cleveland Clinic officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula Township.

Thomas Isabella
PAINESVILLE - Thomas Isabella, 87, of Painesville, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at Lake East Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1915, in Clarksburg, W. Va., the son of Antonio and Mary (Metter) Isabella.
Mr. Isabella originally was from Meadow Brook, W.Va., before moving to Jefferson and Chardon. He has been a resident of Painesville since 1954.
Mr. Isabella was a manager of the Chardon Hills Apartments, where he lived. He also worked for the Maintenance Department of Chardon Local Schools and before moving to Ohio was a coal miner in West Virginia.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps., corporal, served as cook and tank driver.
Mr. Isabella married Hazel M. (Ice) in Clarksburg, W. Va., on June 19, 1936.
He was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Concord, former member of the Chardon FOE, Aerie 2261 and was a former member of the Chardon Veterans of Foreign War Post 6519.
He sold fruits and vegetables in Chardon Village and was known as the "Appleman." Mr. Isabella enjoyed playing card games, bingo and eating out. He especially enjoyed fishing and the stories he told about the fish he caught or got away.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; four sons, Robert Isabella of Thompson, Jack Isabella of Painesville Township, Gary Isabella of Madison, Thomas Isabella of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and sister, Lou Jean Sarilla of Bridgeport, W. Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with the Rev. John Vrana of St. Gabriel Catholic Church officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson Township.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord.

Julia Ladany
PAINESVILLE - Julia Ladany, 92, of Painesville, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at the Hospice House in Cleveland.
She was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Painesville.
She was a former employee at Gary/Allens in Painesville, where she worked as a seamstress. She also worked at the A&P store in Painesville, in the meat department.
She enjoyed playing pinochle and was a 200 Club bowler. She also enjoyed picking berries in her youth.
Survivors include a son, Francis Ladany of Painesville; a daughter, Jean Ward of Painesville; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Gyure of Painesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ladany, on Oct. 2, 2002; an infant daughter, Kathleen Ladany; two brothers, Alex and William Dominish; and a sister, Bertha Myers.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Sydney P. Radkowski
PAINESVILLE ­ Sydney Paige Radkowski, infant daughter of Eric and Karen (DeMay) Radkowski of Madison, died at birth Wednesday, July 24, 2003 at Lake East Hospital.
Her survivors include her parents; her twin sister, Rachel Lauren Radkowski; maternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara DeMay; paternal grandparents, Dr. John and Gerri Radkowski; maternal great-grandparents, Francis DeMay and Eva Hathy; paternal great-grandparents, Lawrence Jaworski and Anna Radkowski.
She was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, John Radkowski and Helen Jaworski and maternal great-grandparents, Captain Steven Hathy and Jean DeMay.
A private service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Rev. Fr. Philip Miller, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, will preside assisted by Deacon Rich Johnson. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
