Funeral service for Anthony Joseph “Fox” Federico, age 69, of Mentor will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Federico died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville. He was born September 12, 1935 in the Collinwood area, he lived in Euclid before moving to Mentor 30 years ago.
He was an avid sports fan. Mr. Federico was a foreman for the River Terminal for more than 40 years, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Carol (Buss); children: Sally (Joe) Tasca of Concord Twp., Sandy (Pat) Scanlon of Eastlake, Sunny (Steve) Tizzano of Highland Hts., and Toni (Chris) Noonan of Mentor; grandchildren: Tia and Graziella Tasca, Stephen, Michelle and Elizabeth Tizzano, Richard and Anthony Nucciarone and Christopher and Nicollette Noonan; greatgrandchildren: Taylor and Tatum. He is also survived by his brothers: Nicholas “Butch” (Carol) Federico of Chagrin Falls and Michael (Alberta) Federico of Highland Hts; and niece and nephew Natalie and Nick Federico.
His nephew, Vince Federico is deceased.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.

Funeral service for Margaret E. “Peg” Branthoover, age 79, of Eastlake, for the past 3 1/2 years, will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday February 23, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Branthoover died Saturday February 19, 2005 at Holly Hills Nursing Home in Newbury. She was born October 12, 1925, she had lived in Kirtland before moving to Eastlake.
She was co-owner of B&B Excavating of Kirtland for the past 49 years. A member of the U.S. Trotters Assoc., an avid Indians & Browns fan.
Survivors include her sons Charles (JoAnn) Branthoover of Chagrin Falls, John (Karen) Branthoover of Newbury, Gary Branthoover of Chardon and David A. Branthoover of Eastlake; 9 grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; brothers Mert (Shirley) Rodgers of Monongahela, PA. and Del (Jean) Rodgers of Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband David P. “Dave” Branthoover; Grandson Ryan Branthoover; sisters Jean Branthoover & Barbara Hudek; brother Jack Rodgers.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.

Memorial service for David Escovitz, age 98, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Saturday February 26, 2005 in the chapel at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, in Chester Township.
Mr. Escovitz died Feb. 17, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1906, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., he had lived in Pittsburgh, Pa., before moving to Mentor 18 years ago.
He was a Mason for the past 50 years. He played bridge at Mentor Civic Center every Monday and Thursday and every Tuesday at the Mentor Senior Center.
Mr. Escovitz was a retired insurance salesman.
Survivors are his daughters, Roberta H. (Ronald) Watson of Kirtland and Eileen H. (David) Kelly of Mentor; grandchildren, David S. (Abbie Bole) Watson of Cleveland Heights, Barbara L. Watson of Mentor, Kathryn W. (Andrew) Stibora of Shaker Heights, Michael (Kim) Kelly of Westerville, Susan Kelly of Miami Beach, Fla.; and Jonathan Kelly of Painesville; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, Barbara Gerber and Adair Lederman; and nephew, Larry Bloom.
His wife, Mary (Bertovich) Escovitz; parents, Hyman and Millie Escovitz; sisters, Thelma Schulman, Lillian Bloom and Sarah Feinberg; and nephew, Sorrell Feinberg, are deceased.
The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor 44060.

Private funeral service was held for William T. Black, age 94, of Mentor for 55 years formerly of Cleveland.
Mr. Black died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Mentor Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mentor. He was born October 29, 1910 in Cleveland.
Mr. Black was retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he was a railway postal clerk. Member Mentor United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter Barbara Black of New York; sons Robert (Laura) Black of Mentor and James Black of Mentor; grandchildren Jeff (Beth) Black, Karen (Mike) DeFlorio, Dan and Ben Alper; great-grandchildren Jeremy and Kristin Black.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret S. Black and sister Mary Askew.

Funeral mass for James S. Hanusosky, age 93, of Austinburg Twp. will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday March 7, 2005 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Hanusosky died Friday, March 04, 2005 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born February 20, 1912 in Cleveland, he had lived in Mentor for 54 years formerly of Austinburg Twp.
Mr. Hanusosky was a printer and worked at Snap Out Forms in Chardon. Following, he worked at Duplicate Forms in Mentor and was owner of Lake Printing Co, Permacraft Products and the Cobweb Antique Shop, all in Painesville. He enjoyed bowling and playing with his grandchildren; currently member of Sacred Heart Church of Rock Creek; active member St. Mary of the Assumption for many years; past president of Holy Name Society; founding member and past president of St. Mary’s Credit Unit. A past secretary and member of St. Vincent DePaul Society. Head usher for many years, a Eucharistic minister and past member of Knights of Columbus in Painesville; graduate of Chardon High School and served as Motor Machinist Mate on Subchaser in the Navy during WWII. He was very devoted to his family and had a lifelong faith in God. His memory will be cherished by his family for his kindness, generosity, and love of fun and laughter.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Martha (Fallat); daughters Mary Sue (Jerry) Lenhart of Valley City, Rita (Richard) Burns of Roaming Shores, and Elizabeth (Wayne) Howell of Austinburg Twp.; grandchildren Kevin and Matthew Lenhart, Shannon Spellacy, Hale Burns, Elise Mellinger, Brooke Burns, Wayne Howell Jr.; sisters Mary (Allen) McNaughton and Dorothy Bystranowski; brother Elmer (Sarah) Hanusosky; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary (Kovach) and Julius “George” Hanusosky; step-mother Mary (Nemeth) Hanusosky; brothers Joe, Julius, and John; sisters Margaret, Ida, and Ann.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home & cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave. Mentor.
Interment Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.

Funeral service for Thomas F. Fellows, age 78, of Mentor will be held 9 a.m. Saturday March 5, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Fellows died Wednesday March 2, 2005 at Lake Medical Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Painesville Twp. He was born March 3, 1926 Cleveland, Oh. he had lived in Mentor for 51 years.
He was a retired Foreman from Morton Salt Mine in Fairport Harbor for 31 years until his retirement in 1986. A retired volunteer fireman from Mentor Fire Department as a Captain after 28 years retiring in 1986, founded Morton Salt Retirement Club, loved fishing, making stained glass & gardening. Mr. Fellows was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Marjorie A. Fellows; 2 daughters Patricia (Ernie) VanAllen of Madison and JoEllen (Russell) Hummerick of Painesville; 1 Son Kevin (Helene) Fellows of Shaker Hghts; 5 Grandchildren Matthew & Michael Cross, Courtney Fellows, Brad & Rebecca Rackmill; 1 Sister Carol (Robert) Dwors; 1 Brother Donald Fellows of Mentor.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Marie Fellows; brother William Fellows.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp.

Funeral service for Thomas Doyle Hurst, age 84, of Painesville Twp. will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 2, 2005 at Bible Community Church, 8600 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mr. Hurst died Friday, February 25, 2005 at Heartland of Mentor in Mentor. He was born November 29, 1920 in Painesville.
Born in Painesville, Ohio, Mr. Hurst graduated from Harvey High School in 1938. U.S. Navy veteran. During World War II, he studied machine work at North Dakota State School of Science and served abroad the USS Lexington CV 16 as Machinist’s Mate 1st class, earning 13 battle stars. He is a lifetime member of Men of the Blue Ghost, a Lexington Veteran’s organization. He attended the Baptist Bible Institute.
He married Marjorie Faith Hayward on November 29, 1941 and resided with her in Painesville Twp. for 64 years. He was a machinist with Diamond Shamrock for 36 years and with Fusion for 8. Having accepted Jesus Christ as savior, he helped found Bible Community Church of North Mentor in 1949 and served there as an elder. He helped found Mentor Christian Church in 1967. Mr. Hurst served in the Lake County office of the Ohio State University Cooperative Extension Service in the Master Gardener program. Mr. Hurst was under the care of the staff of Heartland Care of Mentor.
Survivors include his wife Marjoried Hayward Hurst; children Carol (Paul) Beverly of Lexington, North Carolina, Thomas (Carol) Hurst of Painesville Twp., Nancy (Donald) Gallion of Willard, Ohio, Daniel (Luanne) Hurst of Hudson, Florida, and Paul (Patty) Hurst of Bucyrus, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Donley of Painesville Twp. and Frances (Fred) Lace of Painesville Twp; sister-in-law Charlotte Hurst of Thonotosassa, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Rose Miller Hurst of Painesville, Ohio; grandchild Enoch Timothy Beverly; brother Robert Hurst of Thonotosassa, Florida; brother-in-law Clarence Donley.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Painesville.
