Lillian D. (Laszlo) Silvaroli, age 81, of Mentor, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at LakeMed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Painesville Township, with her family by her side. She was born Nov. 11, 1928, in Fairport Harbor and was a 60-year resident of Mentor.
Lillian graduated from Fairport Harbor Harding High School in 1947.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to many and loved gardening, Bingo, cooking and caring for her family.
Lillian's family would like to thank the dedicated professionals of LakeMed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for making these last few years full of care, comfort, compassion and love.
Survivors are her husband of 60 years, Albert T. Silvaroli; daughters, Sandra (Mark) Finley of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Valerie (Scott) Ross of Concord Township; grandchildren, Eric and Ryan Ross; sisters, Goldie Ellis of Santa Ana, Calif. and Irene Conrad of North Canton and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kalman A. and Vilma (Nagy) Laszlo; brother, Kalman Laszlo; and sisters, Elsie Kovacs, Melvina Downey and Yolanda Laszlo.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060. The Rev. Louis Medgyesi will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
Contributions may be made to the Hungarian Reformed Church, 601 Plum St., Fairport Harbor, OH 44077.

George F. Wilson, age 81, of Painesville and formerly of Mayfield Heights. MR. Wilson died Saturday December 1, 2001 at Chardon Healthcare Center in Chardon. He was born July 16, 1920 in Cleveland.
A retired tool and die maker for Erico Products in Solon. An avid fisherman, loved motorcycles, boating and sports as well as being a great storyteller.
Survivors include daughters Donna Bussey of Willoughby and Wendy Maruna of Chardon. Grandchildren Dawn Bussey, Donald Bussey, Denise Klemenc, Doreen (Edward) Grau, Debra Bussey and Brittany Maruna. Great Grandfather of 7.
Preceded in death by wife Rosemary L.
Funeral Service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Inurnment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7861 Crile Rd, Concord, Oh 44077.

Louie S. Wong age 71 of Euclid for 7 years formerly of Mentor died December 7, 2001 at Western Reserve Convalescent Home in Kirtland, Ohio. He was born November 21, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Wong was a factory worker at Tow Motor for 12 years. He was an U.S. Veteran in the Korean War.
Survivors include his daughters Millie (David A.)Nilges of Wickliffe and Michelle Wong of Lakewood; sons Derrick Wong of Mentor and Derald (Ji) Wong of Indianapolis; grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia; brother Fred Wong of Maple Heights.
He was preceded in death by his son Louie Jr.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor.
The family suggests contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Dessie A. King age 86 of Eastlake since 1948 died Thursday, November 29, 2001 at her residence. She was born August 2, 1915 in East Cleveland.
She was a former medical secretary and switchboard operator at the Euclid Clinic in Euclid from which she retired.
Survivors include her husband Rupert of 62 years; daughter Colleen King Calvert of Twinsburg; grandson William (Michele) Calvert of Stow; great-grandsons William, Brandon, and Christopher Calvert; beloved friend Lois Girnt.
She was preceded in death by her parents Conrad and Ceal Ecker and 9 brothers and sisters.
Services are pending for Monday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor where family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Mayfield Village.
Family suggests contributions be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Lake County-Hospice 5834 Heisley Rd., Mentor 44060.

Dorothy Jane Maxfield (nee Mahalik) (adopted Liedtke) age 70 of Kirtland for 21 years died Wednesday, November 28 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born November 12, 1931 in Cleveland.
Mrs. Maxfield was a 1949 graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland where she was involved as a choir soloist as well as many student groups. She also studied piano for 8 years. She first worked downtown as a secretary at the Illuminating Company before marrying in 1951. She later worked as a secretary for E.I. Pfaff Co. in Euclid and retired as the branch secretary for Federal Products Co. in Mentor. Member of Chapel of the Divine Word Church in Kirtland. She loved to read and golf and enjoyed bird watching and nature. She was a member of the Eastlake and Kirtland senior centers.
Survivors include her husband James L.; daughters Kathy (Bob) Walker of Perry and Diane Marunowski of Eastlake; sons Jim (Janet) Maxfield Jr. of Mentor and Dennis (Elizabeth) Maxfield of Cleveland; grandchildren Vicky and Derek Maxfield of Painesville, Vanessa Maxfield serving in the Air Force, Zora Maxfield of Cleveland, Jennifer (Matthew) Robinson of Painesville, Rob Walker of Perry, Amanda and Joshua Marunowski of Eastlake; great-grandson Nicholas Viera.
Funeral mass 10:00 a.m. Monday at Divine Word Church 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor. Interment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon. Family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve 5786 Heisley Rd., Mentor 44060.

William L. McGarry Sr., age 65, of Mentor since 1965 formerly of Bay Village. Mr. McGarry died Sunday, December 9, 2001 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1936 in Warren, Pennsylvania.
Mr. McGarry was a government inspector for the Defense Department for 20 years, retiring in 2000. He was an U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in Mentor. Past commander of Amvets Post #40 in Mentor Headlands; Past 20th District Commander of Amvets; Ohio Amvet of the Year in 1981; Past Sadest of Sad Sacks 4001; President and coach of Headlands Girls Softball League; Jr. Achievement Advisor; Member of Mentor Headlands Community Center.
Survivors include his wife Shirley (nee Crabb) of 45 ˝ years; daughters Patricia (George) Karaffa of Port Charlotte, Sharon (Tom) Clydesdale of Roaming Shores, Christine (Paul) Murray of Lakewood, Debora (Paul) Molan of Hambden, Kelly Torrieri of Mentor; son William (Elizabeth) McGarry Jr. of Casco, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother James (Mary) McGarry of Buffalo.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ann Mae McGarry and brother Patrick “Joe” McGarry.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd, Mentor.
Family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.

Phyllis J. Myers age 67 of Mentor for 41 years formerly of Ft. Wayne, Indiana died Friday, December 7, 2001 at Lake Hospital Systems in Willoughby. She was born January 29, 1934 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Mrs. Myers retired from Lake West Hospital in 1994 where she was an Administrative Assistant for 28 years. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where she was a member of the seniors group, Mentor Senior Center, the Lost Nation Sylvaneers Camping Club, and the Lake County Humane Society. She loved different crafts, such as ceramics, crocheting, and other needle works.
Survivors include her husband William of 47 years; daughter Cindy (Bob) Bjerstedt of Lebanon, Ohio; son Alan (Maryann) Myers of Mentor; mother Anna Huffman of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren Alan Jr., Amy, Christopher, Eric, Anna, Christina, and Sarah; sister Elizabeth Dressler of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brother Robert Huffman of Sebastian, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father Herschel Cecil Huffman.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Interment Mentor Cemetery, Mentor. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. John Vianney Church Building Fund.
