USA High School Yearbooks by State and County

Linda "Gigi" (Barnum) Meditz, age 51 of Mentor, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 13, 1959, Fairview Park.
Mrs. Meditz worked as an office manager for Dr. Priesand in Mayfield Heights. Prior to that, she worked at IFI in Cleveland.
She was a graduate of Villa Angela High School, Class of 1977. She was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor and a former member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially loved being "Gigi."
Survivors are her husband of 30 years, Robert A. Meditz; children, Jessica (Evan) Byrum of Willowick, David Meditz and Martin Amador of Phoenix, Ariz., and Daniel Meditz of Mentor; granddaughter, Anna Byrum of Willowick; parents, David and Nancy Barnum of Willowick; two sisters, Sandy (John) Giancola of Eastlake and Kim (Steve) Will of Mentor; brother, Mike (Lisa) Barnum of Yorktown, Va.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday September 3, 2010 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Prayers will be held at the funeral home 8:50 a.m. Friday.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119 or to a charity of your choice.

Mark R. Rosumny, age 87, of Mentor for the past 10 years and formerly of Mentor, died Saturday, March 10 2001 at Heartland of Mentor. He was born June 15, 1913 in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Rosumny is survived by daughter Kathryn (Leonard) Anderson of Kirtland, Ohio; sisters Dorothy Kraul of Portland, Oregon and Mary Ann (Stan) Hattrup of Longview, Washington; and a brother Kermit (Elaine) Medoff of Portland, Oregon.
His wife Louise F. Rosumny is deceased.
Graveside service 10am Thursday, March 15, 2001 in Mentor Cemetery 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor, Ohio.

Domenic D. "Hooky" Sanzo, US Army Air Force Veteran, age 77 of Madison, formerly Lyndhurst and Seymour, TN.
Dear father of Donald, Richard (Fran) and Robert Sanzo.
Grandfather of Donald, Teressa, Robert, Daniel (Renee), Dana, Jamie and Todd.
Great-grandfather of Tosha, Donald Jr. and Mark Jr. Former husband of Minnie Valardo-Moxley.
Son of the late Casper and Ida Sanzo. Step-son of Angie Sanzo.
Brother of Diane Durante, Joe (Jean) Sanzo and Pete (Pat) Sanzo.
Grandson of the late Domenic and Carmela Sanzo.
Uncle of Joanne Sanzo, Ronald Sanzo and Michael Durante.
Funeral Service 11am Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor where the family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9pm Monday.
Interment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Rd, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Private services were held for Robert D. "Bob" Sims, at North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church. Bob passed away at home Aug. 3, 2010, in the loving arms of his wife and daughter. Bob was born March 29, 1944, in Leslie, W.Va., to Dave and Marie Sims.
Bob spent his childhood in Leivasy, W.Va., and graduated from Crichton High School, where he met his wife of 48 years, Carol Ann McCutcheon. Bob was a resident of Eastlake, for 40 years, after living in Willoughby, for eight years prior. Although Bob spent his adult life in Ohio, he has always been proud of his West Virginia heritage, which dates back to the 1700's.
Bob began his career at American Stamping in Euclid, when he was 19 years old. He was one of 12 employees asked to stay on when the company was purchased and became Stamco Industries. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed his job, rising to the position of plant manager, before retiring after 41 years.
His favorite things in life were spending time with his family, taking care of his home, carpentry, landscaping, working on his award-winning hot-rod truck and golfing with his wife. He always said staying at home was like being on vacation. Bob was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and a current member of Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church.
Bob will always be remembered for his gruff voice and dynamic personality and will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Melissa (Phil) Morganti; precious granddaughter, Alexandra (Ryan) DeBiase; and sisters, Jo Faye Swager of Mentor and Billie Kay Fields of Nettie, W.Va., He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Marie Sims; grandparents, Pascal and Grace Pittsenberger and Terrance Victor and Cora Sims.
Burial took place in Mentor Municipal Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Mentor.

Clifford N. Kampp, age 89, of Willoughby, formerly of Pepper Pike, died August 29, 2010 at Holly Hill in Newbury.
He was born April 16, 1921, in Cleveland.
Mr. Kampp worked at NACL as an engineer and was a longtime butcher at Heinen's.
He was a member of the Mason's and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Diana Wilson and Nancy A. Putinski; grandchildren, Brian (Jenny) Wilson, Debbie Wilson and Stephen (Jamie) Putinski; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Helena Wilson, Alexa Putinski and Reagan Putinski.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor; and daughter, Laura M. Patrick.
Memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Mentor.

Beth Ann Washock, age 38, of Mentor on the Lake for the past 2 ½ years formerly of Cleveland. Ms. Washock died August 25, 2011 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born March 6, 1973 in Willoughby.
Beth had attended Cleveland State University to study for a nursing degree. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a hospital corpsman.
Survivors include her mother Phyllis Washock of Mentor on the Lake; brother’s Anthony (Pamela) Washock, Joseph Washock and Steven (Denise) Washock; she is also survived by many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her father Anthony.
A private funeral service was held.
Interment was in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
Arrangements entrusted to Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Mentor, OH.

George S. Novich, age 84, of Mentor-on-the-Lake for the past 39 years, formerly of Wickliffe, passed away Sept. 30, 2011, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. He was born March 27, 1927, in Republic, Pa.
Mr. Novich worked at General Motors Fisher Body Plant for many years prior to his retirement in the early 1980s.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He enjoyed golfing and fishing with his son, gardening, and especially spending time with his four dogs. He was truly a loved and gifted man who will be deeply missed.
Survivors are his children, Joanne Verbic of Wickliffe, Justine (Michael) Brown of Mentor-on-the-Lake and Anthony (JoAnne) Novich of Willowick; grandchildren, Vanessa, Billy, Anthony P., and Anthony S.; and great-grandchildren, Billy and Brooke.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Dolly" Novich; mother, Mary Novich; and brothers, Joseph Novich and Tony Florey.
Memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
