Funeral mass for Ann J. Koucky, age 94, of Mentor will be held 10 a.m. Monday August 2, 2004 at St Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord.
Mrs. Koucky died July 28, 2004 at Heartland of Mentor. She was born March 31, 1910 in Forest City, Pa., she had lived in Richmond Heights before moving to Mentor 24 years ago.
Mrs. Koucky was a homemaker and a member of St Gabriel’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter Arlene (Gilbert) Krizman of mentor, son Gerald (Cindy) Koucky of Mentor, grandchildren Julie (Lou) Bunnick, Kerri Krizman, Sherri (Pat) Carmody, great grandchildren Anna and Emma Bunnick. Sisters Angela Bannon and Teresa Hanley and 1 brother James Orasin.
Preceded in death by her husband Jerry R. Koucky and her son James and her parents Andrew and Angela Orasin.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service ,8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family suggests contributions be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve 5786 Heisley Rd Mentor Oh 44060.

Our beloved mother, Isa M. (Green) Floyd, 83, of Painesville, was welcomed through the gates of Heaven on Dec. 2, 2009.
Our mother flourished as a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, educator and child of God. She was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Enterprise, Ala., and graduated from Alabama State College with her B.A. degree.
Mrs. Floyd was the director of the Lake/Geauga County Head Start program for 17 years.
She was the president of the Cleveland/Pittsburgh stewardess board of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, a longtime active member and officer of the Lake County chapter of the NAACP and an original member of Calvary CME church in Painesville. She donated her time and guidance to the Lake County Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and to various scholastic and educational benefits.
Mrs. Floyd's life and legacy is celebrated by her stepchildren, Jessie L. Floyd Jr. and Ellen A. Floyd; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and half brother, Melvin, of Dorchester, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jessie L. Floyd Sr.; parents, J.C. and Claudie Green; brothers, Charlie and Willie James Green; and younger sister, Ruth Green.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary CME Church in Painesville, 556 Lawnview Ave., Painesville, OH 44077. Family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunner-Nixon Funeral & Cremation Service in Painesville.

Funeral services for Dorothy Rose Smith will be held 11:00 am Wednesday December 23, 2009 at St. John Nottingham Lutheran Church, 17403 Nottingham Rd, Cleveland, OH.
Mrs. Smith was born July 4, 1925 in Cleveland. She died Saturday at the Fairways in Wickliffe at the age of 84. She resided in Willowick for the past 47 years.
She is survived by her children; Gayle (Richard) Jozwiak of Parma and Paul (Cheryl) Smith of Mentor-on-the-Lake, grandchildren; Christopher and Megan Smith and her sister; Marie Visoky of Lyndhurst. She was preceded in death by her husband Stuart Smith, four brothers, six sisters and her parents, Joseph and Rose DiVito.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am Wednesday at the church. For directions to the church go to their website at www.stjohnnottingham.org Entombment in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.,OH.

Services for Richard E. Kowalski, 74, of Eastlake, a retired assembler, will be noon Friday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Kowalski died July 12, 2004, at Manor Care Nursing Facility in Willoughby. He was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Cleveland, he lived there before moving to Eastlake 47 years ago.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, reaching the rank of Corporal. He enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, landscaping, watching old westerns and movies and collecting model cars.
Mr. Kowalski worked as an assembler for Gabriel Shocks in Cleveland for 18 years and for Bowden Manufacturing in Willoughby for 24 years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Esther (Tromp); sons, Richard (Susan) of Mentor, Ronald (Teresa) of Seven Hills and Russell (Veronica) Kowalski of Concord Township; grandchildren, Kevin, Christopher and Cassandra Kowalski; sisters, Lillian Gressock of Willowick, Esther Feador of Nevada, and Betty Noll of Cleveland; and brother, Wallace Kowalski of Madison.
His brother, Jerry Kowalski, is deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery.

Jack W. Bennington, 90, of Prairie Village, Kan., formerly of Mentor, passed away March 6, 2010, in Claridge Court, and was the beloved husband of the late Rita; and son of the late Wilber and Eulalia.
Mr. Bennington was the dear father of Cathy (Gerry) Czir and Robert Bennington; and grandfather of Julie and Ryan Czir.
Jack served his country in the United States Army. He was the former owner of Compact Coffee Services before retiring. He greatly enjoyed bowling, was a fan of all Cleveland professional sports teams and loved to travel with his wife, Rita.
After the death of Rita, Jack moved to the Kansas City area to be with his daughter, Cathy and her family. He died peacefully at Claridge Court Nursing Home in Prairie Village, Kan. Jack will be best remembered for his love for his family and the friendship he provided to many throughout his life. He was a kind and sensitive individual with a wonderful sense of humor. Jack was a true gentleman
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday March 13, 2010 at The First Presbyterian Church of Willoughby, 4785 Shankland Road, Willoughby. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township following the service. The family will host a reception and lunch immediately following the burial at the Brunner Community Room.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jack W. Bennington be sent to Claridge Court Nursing Care Facility, 3rd Floor, 8101 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208.

Funeral services for Dennis J. Kish, 57, of Concord Township, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, 8125 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Mr. Kish died July 13, 2004, at LakeEast Hospital in Painesville. He was born Sept. 8, 1946, in Uniontown, Pa., he lived in Madison before moving to Concord Township 22 years ago.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Kish was the owner/operator of Control System Engineering in Painesville for 20 years.
Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Pamela L. (Jardine); sons, Bryan (fiancee, Michele Dusza) Kish of Oregon, Ohio, and Christopher (Lisbeth) Kish of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Brennan and Dylan; father-in-law, Donald Jardine of Painesville Township; and sister-in-law, Renee Jardine of Lakewood.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.

Caroline S. Parisi-Silvestro, age 70, of Concord Township, for the past two and a half years, formerly of Mentor, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born Feb. 9, 1940, in Newark, N.J.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a registered nurse at Lake Hospital Systems for 15 years, before retiring in 2000.
She was a member of the Mentor Senior Center.
Survivors are her children, David J. (Desiree) Parisi of Mentor, Andrea L. (Joe) Parisi-Mileski of Broadview Heights, Krista (Keith) Hankins of Mentor, and Benjamin (Diane) Parisi of Concord Township; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Conrad) Straube, Matthew and Aimee Muzic, Ryan, Adam, Zach, Jordan, Jennifer, Jessica, Kara Mia, Nicole, Joshua and Kaleigh Parisi, Austin, Johnathan and Alyssa Hankins; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Madelynne and Eve; mother, Randi Norsell of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sister, Linda Anderson of Twinsburg; brothers, Peter (Judy) Lorenz of Ravenna and Walter (Minda) Lorenz of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and daughter-in-law, Leighsa Parisi of Mentor.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark E. Parisi; daughter, Elisa Muzic; granddaughter, Kendi Parisi; and father, Robert Lorenz.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday August 23, 2010 at Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church, 9514 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
