Mary R. Robison
THOMPSON TOWNSHIP - Mary Rose Robison, 95, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at the Chardon Quality Healthcare Center.
She was born Aug. 23, 1906, in Cleveland, the daughter of John and Mary (Hosta) Lustig.
She married Thomas Robison in May 1945 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Thompson Township.
Mrs. Robison was a seamstress for the former Richmond Brothers, Cleveland, for 25 years.
She was a member of Thompson Garden Club for more than 25 years and was active in St. Patrick's Church, serving in the choir and the Ladies' Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beth Bartlett of Columbia Falls, Mont.; a son, Thomas P. of Thompson Township; five grandchildren, Brian, Monica, Melissa, Kristen, and Tom; and two sisters, Josephine and Anne Lustig of Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1996; a sister, Agnes Lustig; and three brothers, Vince, John, and Martin Lustig, in infancy.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson Township, with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson Township.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick's Church Fund, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson 44086.

Wilma C. Carbonara
THOMPSON TOWNSHIP - Wilma C. Carbonara, 57, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at LakeEast Hospital, Painesville.
She was born Feb. 11, 1944, in Butler, Tenn., the daughter of Hillard and Margaret (Bunton) Triplett.
An area resident for 15 years, she was a former employee of Bicron Corp., Newbury Township, and Jett Inc., Highland Heights. After retirement, she became a homemaker. She enjoyed sports, walking, swimming and reading.
Survivors include her mother of Butler, Tenn.; her husband, Joseph; two sons, Paul Joiner of Alabama and Howard Joiner of Thompson; a sister, Eileen Parker of Romeo, Mich.; a stepson, Michael Carbonara; and two grandchildren, Raquel and Paul Joiner.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson Township, with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Munson Township.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.

Arline Rosalind Scheuring
THOMPSON - Arline Rosalind (Jones) Scheuring, 87, of Footville, Ohio, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at her daughter's home in Thompson, following a short illness.
She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Cleveland.
On Jan. 15, 1936, she married Edward K. Scheuring. She moved to Footville in 1946, where she spent most of her life. She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Scheuring was an exceptional seamstress who enjoyed passing on her talent to others. She also enjoyed flower gardening and showing her flowers at the Great Geauga County Fair. She was an active member of the Huntsburg Congregational Church. She was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians and enjoyed afternoon rides in the country.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years; two daughters, Sally (Leonard) Coe of Thompson and Lindy (Richard) Hopkins of Perry; daughter-in-law, Helen Scheuring; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Art, Chris, Alvin, Scott, Ray, Tracy and Dan; seven great-grandchildren, Kristy, Richard, Robert, Jody, Leah, Mara and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy K. Scheuring; and one brother, Charles Jones.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2003, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison.
The Funeral Service will take place 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at the Huntsburg Congregational Church, 12435 Madison Road, Huntsburg, Ohio, with Dr. Bob Barber officiating.

Louis N. Smith
THOMPSON TOWNSHIP - Louis N. Smith, 75, of Thompson Township, died March 19, 2002, at his home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1925, the son of George and Gertrude (Mullins) Smith, and had lived in the area for five years. He and his wife, Lucile, spent time in Las Vegas, but always came home to Geauga County. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.
He retired in 1989 after selling his business, The Ramble Inn in Newbury.
He married the former Lucile Hoag on Oct. 12, 1974, in Las Vegas.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling across the country and doing crossword puzzles with his wife.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lisa Smith of California; a stepson, Gary Huish of California; a brother, Jim Smith of Delaware; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Private family services have already been held.
Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, 45250-0301.
The Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chardon, is in charge of arrangements.

Andrew J. Marsch (1 OF 2)
THOMPSON - Andrew (Andy) Johnson Marsch, 66, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at his home. He was born May 10, 1936 in Leroy Township, the son of Edward and Mildred (Horton) Marsch, Sr.
Mr. Marsch resided in Northeast Ohio all of his life and lived in Thompson since 1957.
He married Marlene (Maier) June 29, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneva.
Mr. Marsch owned Marsch Machine Products in Thompson, which he began in 1964.
He was a trustee member of Rock Creek Conservation Club, a member of VFW Post 7939 in Leroy, a member of American Legion Post #112 (Jay Wilson Post), a member of AMVETS in Perry, an Eagles member, a former president of Ledgemont School Board and he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Andy J. Marsch III of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Pamela A. Fleissner of Lakeland, Fla.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Fleissner, Andy J. Marsch IV, Adam Marsch and Alec Marsch; two brothers, Tom Marsch of Ill. and Ray Marsch of Middlefield; and eight sisters, Sylvia Blaszkiewicz of Ill., Isabelle Lundgren of Fla., Clara Bubb of Ariz., Hazel Peterson of Ill, Pat Rohrbaugh of Mentor, Barbara Townsend of Montville, Nancy Reiser of Texas and Carolyn Collins of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Edward Marsch, Jr. and two sisters, Edna Marsch and Virginia Dunham.
Service is 1 p.m. Friday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with the Pastor Ross Fees of Grace Lutheran Church in Thompson, officiating.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson Fire Department, P.O. Box 37, Thompson, OH 44086.

Marcella M. Strong
Born: November 09, 1915
Died: June 23, 2004
Services: Saturday, June 26, at 8:00 PM, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.
Visitation: Saturday, 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home.
She was a member of the Church of St. Mary, Chardon. Mrs. Strong had worked at the Chardon McDonalds for 7 years and as a cook at the former Chardon Lakes Inn and hostess at Burger King in Chardon. She was a member of the Women’s Moose, #583 in Ashtabula and had been a poll worker for the Geauga Election Board. She loved to remember her friends, sending cards and phoning for birthdays and anniversaries. Mrs. Strong also enjoyed dancing, especially polkas. Mrs. Strong loved children, babysitting for many in her neighborhood. In her later life, she enjoyed flying and traveling, especially to Florida. She is survived by her 2 daughters Joyce (Clyde) Vandevander of Hambden Twp. and Joan (Arthur) Semlow Sr. of Chardon; sister Katherine Shannon of Santa Monica, CA; 5 Grandchildren; Boyd (Pauline) Vandevander of Harman, West Virginia, Marcie (Garen) Tookman of Eastlake, Micki Webker (Jim Mog) of Burton, Arthur (Jennifer) Semlow Jr. of Chardon and Floyd (Kerri) Semlow of Chardon. She also leaves her dear and best friends Pauline Sweet of Chardon and John Degroe of Newbury, as well as all of her friends at Murray Manor and the Senior Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Strong, 1 daughter, Marcella Webker, 3 brothers Joseph, Charles, and Nicholas Hamera, 1 sister Mary Peterka and friend and companion, Albin E. Stopar.
