Elsie Marie Smith
BURTON - Elsie Marie Smith, 79 of Burton, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Burton Health Care.
She was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Clarion County, Pa. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Charles and Leafy Gibson.
Formerly of Oil City Pa., she was a resident of Burton since 1984. Mrs. Smith was a housemother at Metzenbaum Center in Chesterland from 1978 until she retired in 1984.
She was a member of Burton Congregational Church and enjoyed reading and watching television.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet M. Weiss of Newbury, Carol A. Lewis of Mentor, one sister, Bertha Strickenberg of Fredricksburg, Va., four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry M. Smith, brother Merle McMillan, sisters Norma Fultz, Margaret Brecht and Emma Edwards.
Service is 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Russell Goldenrule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield. The Rev. Harry Buch of the Burton Congregational Church of Burton will officiate.
Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Franklin, Pa.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary A. Vizy
BURTON TOWNSHIP - Mary Anne Vizy, 56, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield.
Mrs. Vizy was born in Cleveland on Dec. 15, 1945, the daughter of Zolton and Olga (Zikich) Toth.
She married Nick Vizy March 9, 1963, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Vizy was an accountant for Wheeler Landscaping, Auburn Township, for the past five years.
An avid reader, she also liked to cross-stitch and crochet. She enjoyed camping with her family at Pymatuning Lake and bowling with her husband in a mixed league at Ernst Lanes. Mrs. Vizy also enjoyed attending stock car racing in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Nick of Troy Township, Mark of Biloxi, Miss., Michael of West Farmington, and Neal and Nathan of Burton Township; five grandchildren, Andy, Rachael, Jared, Ben and Alec Vizy; and brother, Karl Toth of Newbury Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Service is 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with the Rev. Jay McPhillips of St. Helen's Church, Newbury Township, will officiate.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Julia Y. Gray
BURTON - Julia Y. Gray, 81, of Burton, died on Friday, August 8th, 2003.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 11, 2003 between the hours of 2pm - 4pm and from 7pm - 9pm at RUSSEL FUNERAL SERVICE, 15670 West High St. Middlefield, OH.
The Funeral Service will be at 11am on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at the Funeral Home.
RUSSEL FUNERAL SERVICE is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph J. Bodnar
BURTON - Joseph J. Bodnar, 87, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 26, 1914, in Cleveland, the son of Michael and Mary (Melney) Bodnar.
Formerly of Cleveland Heights, Bodnar lived in Burton 21 years. He worked as a truck driver for 70 years and was the owner and operator of Blue Line Local Cartage, Burton.
His hobbies included tinkering with his truck in his garage. He liked boating. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Bible Church in Newbury.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; two daughters, Valerie Ross of Bentleville and Elizabeth Farabaugh of Burton; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Michael, Andy and George, and sister, Ann Kazmak.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Grace Evangelical Church, 14951 Auburn Road, Newbury, with the Rev. Robert Murphy officiating.
A chapel service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund, P.O. Box 696, Newbury 44065.
Service for Hazel E. Rutter, 91, who died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, will be noon today at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with her son, the Rev. Charles Hawes of Wings of Faith Church, Lorain, assisted by her granddaughter, the Rev. Lorri Bandagski of Bethel Chapel of Lorain, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Ronald Chitwood
BURTON - Ronald Royce Chitwood Jr., 35, of Burton, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Cranberry, Pa.
Born May 6, 1966, in Cleveland, he was the son of Ronald and Vivian (Pogorzelski) Chitwood. He lived in Chardon and Newbury until moving to Burton in 1997.
Mr. Chitwood was a laser welder at S&B Metal Works in Twinsburg. He previously worked as a laser welder at AMD Fabricating in Willoughby. He enjoyed his children, camping and anything mechanical.
Survivors include his father, Ronald of Warren; his mother, Vivian Chitwood Reid of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; his children, Amanda, Michael, Stephanie, and Christian, all of Burton; brothers, Thomas Reid of Gillsville, Ga., and Daniel Chitwood of Warren; sisters, Chrissy Wright of Eastlake, Ronnetta Chitwood of Ohio, Ronda Chitwood and Jesse Chitwood, both of Warren; Jeana Chitwood of Niles, and Kimberly Chitwood of Wheeling, W. Va.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Evelyn Chitwood; maternal grandparents, Adam and Julia Pogorzelski.
Memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. George Webb officiating at Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon. Visitation is noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to "The Benefit the Children of Ronald Chitwood Jr., National City Bank, 117 South St., Chardon, Ohio 44024.

George Bushner
CLARIDON TOWNSHIP - George Bushner, 89, of Claridon Township, OH, died on Friday, July 25, 2003, at his residence.
Born on January 24, 1914 in Cleveland, he was the son of John and Bertha (Strick) Bushner and was a long time Claridon Township resident.
Mr. Bushner married Lucille B. Harnist in Chardon on January 8, 1940.
He was a farmer and Horse-Trainer of Thoroughbred Horses.
Survivors include two daughter, Beverly Weaver of Claridon Township, and Dottie Wheeler of Orwell; two sisters, Eleanor Bushner of Columbus, and Dorothy Galm of Munson Township; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Lucille on February 22, 1992; and two sisters, Elizabeth Fosket, and Margaret Beckwith.
Private Family Services were held with burial in East Claridon Cemetery, Claridon Township, OH.
Arrangements were by THE BURR FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, Chardon, OH.

James Michael Wolf
Born: July 05, 1944
Died: November 18, 2004
Services: FUNERAL MASS, Tuesday, November 23, 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
He is survived by 2 Daughters Melanie (Lee) Kilmer of Burton Twp., and Holli (Joe) Bruno of Mentor, granddaughter Elise Kilmer and brother Thomas Wolf of North Fort Myers, FL.
His parents Francis and Suzanne (Kess) Wolf, are deceased.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Assoc., 155 Ken Mar Parkway, Broadview Hts., OH 44147.

Catherine K. Eikenburg
Born: October 25, 1951
Died: November 19, 2004
Services: Private Family Services were held.
Visitation:
Mrs. Eikenburg was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Euclid, and the Slovenian National Benefits Society, Lodge #158.
Survivors include her husband Paul Eikenburg of Chardon, daughter Adrienne Strukel of Geneva, son John J. (Julie) Strukel of Euclid, and granddaughter: Alexandrea Carmigiano of Geneva.
Her parents John and Wilma (Nee: Drescher) Kalinsek are deceased.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Assoc., 1689 East 115th ST, Cleveland, OH 44106.
