RHEA J. (BRADFIELD) PORTER
FLORIDA -- Rhea J. (Bradfield) Porter, was born on January 24, 1930, in Cleveland, OH. She passed away on December 25, 2005.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Victor Daniel Porter; and her five dedicated children, Christine Lee Quickel, Debra Lynn Porter, Victor Bradley Porter, Owen Scott Porter and Gwen Del Molnar. She will be greatly missed by all of her family including her grandchildren, Eileen Quickel Barker, Justin Barry Quickel, Jaime Lynn Parent, Jason Victor Parent, Hannah Elizabeth Porter, Victor Charles Porter, Aaron Daniel Stanford, Zachary Owen Porter, Joshua Scott Porter, Jonnica Chelsea Molnar, Danialle Megan Molnar, and Courtney Victoria Molnar, and the following great-grandchildren, Victoria Ann Leslie, Coleman Barry Quickel, and Carlie Christine Quickel, her sister Ruth Way, brother, Tom Bradfield and many nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Betty and Marlee Orosco.
Rhea was a loving mother, devoted wife and a fun-loving grandmother. She spent summers in Ohio and wintered in Florida. She will always be remembered for her inspiration to her children with her encouragement to take on any of lifes challenges. She faced life with the utmost positive attitude.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Soiutheast Florida. The services in the Keys will be private and a celebration of her life will be held next spring in Ohio.

HARLAN E. CAMP
MORGAN TWP. -- Harlan Eugene Camp went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, December 26, 2005, at the home of his son Douglas in Morgan Township. He had been in ill health for the past several months. Harlan was born May 7th, 1913 in Rays Corners, Ashtabula County, Ohio to Francis Isaiah and Bertha Mae (March) Camp. He was the ninth of ten children.
Harlan married Elizabeth Louise Roth in Rock Creek on May 1st, 1937. Together they had six children: Douglas, David, Donald, Donna, Diana, and Daniel. In addition, they helped to raise several other children through the years including his niece, Helen Ahonen and foster son, Richard (Patty) Jameson.
Harlan was a life-long resident of Ashtabula County where he was an avid family man, gardener, beekeeper and clock collector. Over his ninety-two years, he willingly made many sacrifices for his family by working at such occupations as bus driver for the Rock Creek and Jefferson schools, various jobs for the WPA, and logger. But his real love was dairy farming, which he learned in childhood, later purchasing the large family farm on the corner of State Route 45 and Fobes Road in Morgan Township.
After retirement he divided his time between Ohio and Tucson, Arizona, traveling each winter to visit his two sons and their families. He was a beloved member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ where everyone affectionately called him "Grandpa Camp".
Harlan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Louise; his parents; two sons, Donald and Daniel of Tucson; two grandsons, Mitchell Camp and Gary Mendrala Jr.; and his nine brothers and sisters, Elsie, Lola, Orville, Vida, Vera, Bert, Bernice, Harold, and Pauline.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Bob) Freeborn ofAshtabula, Diana (Gary) Mendraia of Eagleville; sons Douglas (Norma) of Rock Creek, David (Janice) of Eagleville; daughter-in-law Wendy Camp of Tucson; 12 grandchildren, Michele (Jeff) Brunsman, Melissa (Joel) Hering, Timothy (Kathy) Camp, Brenda Camp, Thomas (Jennifer) Camp, Susan (Kevin) Morris, Debora (Ray) Petrolino, Julia (Jerry) Fusco, Brian Mendraia, Amy Mendraia, Nicole Camp, and Grace Jameson; 11 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah, Aaron and Katherine Brunsman; Micah, Caleb and Seth Hering; Michael and Samuel Morris, Jude Petrolino; Sarah Good; and three step-grandchildren; AIyssa Nank, Michael an Joshua McMullan.
Memorial services will be held 11a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2005, at the Rock Creek Church of Christ, 2965 High Street, Rock Creek, Ohio 44084. Mr. Jeff Brunsman, Evangelist will be conducting the service. Memorial gifts can be sent to the church.

MARTHA E. CADWELL
LANCASTER, OHIO -- Martha Ellen Cadwell, 79, Lancaster, went to be with the Lord August 23, 2005. Born November 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (King) Hutchins. She was a faithful member of the Lancaster United Brethren in Christ Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Henry Cadwell, Lancaster; son, John R. (Tammy)Cadwell; daughters Shirley M. (Roger) Brown, and Nancy L. (Bill) Horosz; grandchildren, Josh Cadwell, Rachel and Hannah Brown, Will, Victoria, and Peter Horosz; and sister-in-law Ina Mae Cadwell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Elmer R. Hutchins, and grandson, Josiah Henry Horosz.
Graveside services will be held Friday at West Williamsfield Cemetery with Rev. John Cadwell officiating. Friends may call at Baumgardner Funeral Home in Kinsman from 1:00pm until 2:30pm on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martha's memory to the Lancaster United Brethren in Christ Church memorial Fund.

DOROTHY J. VARGO
CLEVELAND -- Dorothy Jean Nicholson Vargo, age 56, of Richmond Township, Ohio, died Thursday, January 12, 2006, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born October 10, 1949, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, to Kenneth and Dorothy L. (Klink) Nicholson.
Formerly of Willoughby, Mrs. Vargo was a long time Andover area resident. She was employed as an L.P.N. for Broadfield Manor Nursing Home in Madison, Staff Builders Home Care, and Miller Memorial Health Care Center. Her hobbies included gardening, quilting, boating, and camping, but she mostly loved to spend time with her family.
Mrs. Vargo is survived by her husband, Sigmund J. Vargo, whom she married June 6, 1982; two sons, Ervin S. Bittinger and Dominick D. Barricklow, both of Richmond Township, OH; a daughter, Darla J. Duane of Uniontown, OH; her mother, Dorothy L. Nicholson of Kirtland, OH; one grandson, Tyler E. Duane of Uniontown, OH, and a grandson due in April; five brothers, Kenneth Nicholson of Kirtland, OH, David Nicholson of Ravenna, OH, Terry Nicholson of Kirtland, OH, Timothy Nicholson of Willowick, OH, and Ronald Nicholson of Lynchburg, VA; and two sisters, Kimberly Tyler of Eastlake, OH, and Deborah Fillar of Mentor, OH.
She is preceded in death by her father and a brother, Allen Dale Nicholson.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2006, at 2:30 p.m., at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL HOME, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Fred Grimm officiating.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10:30 a.m., until the time of service at 2:30 p.m.

Richard J. Buchan
April 15, 1928 - October 10, 2011
Services: October 13th, 2011 at 11:00 A. M.
Richard J. Buchan, age 83, Mill Creek Rd., Jefferson, died early Monday morning at his residence.
He was born April 15, 1928 in Euclid, the son of the late James & Helen (Carroll) Buchan and has resided in Jefferson since 1963, coming from Chagrin Falls. Mr. Buchan attended Ohio State University in the Architectural Engineering Program. He and his former wife of 33 years, Esther Blevins, built and managed Buccaneer Campsites. He previously worked as a photographer at Batelle Institute in Columbus, was a police officer in S. Russell and worked at True Temper in Geneva and Glastic Corp. in Jefferson.
He was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church, the N. R. A. and a former member of the Jefferson Exchange Club and Ashtabula County Tourism. He was a collector and enjoyed shooting, photography, sailing and woodworking.
Survivors include three children, Lynn C. (William) Peskoran of Williamsfield Twp., Mary A. (Philip) Spencer of Jefferson and James S. (Lisa) Buchan of Jefferson, six grandchildren, Peter Crane, Morgan (Ilir) Malaj, Heather (Wesley) Burns, Amy (Katy Profeta) Spencer, Gregory & Emery Buchan, five great-grandchildren, Alex, Andy, Adam, Tyler & Elizabeth and a brother, Bruce C. (JoAnn) Buchan of Willoughby Hills.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jefferson Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with the Rev. Meredith Coleman of the Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Hickok Cemetery.

Charles Devereaux
January 3, 1924 - September 19, 2011
Services: October 10th, 2011 at 11:00 AM
Charles H. Devereaux, 87, formerly of Saybrook Township and Silver Sands, died peacefully in the Hospice unit of ACMC, September 19, 2011, with his family at his side.
Known as Chuck or Charlie to many, he was born January 3, 1924 in Warren Ohio, son of Rosa (Stephenson) and William O. Devereaux. After moving from Warren in his junior year, he graduated in 1942 from Rowe High School in Conneaut, Ohio, then enlisted in the US Navy in 1943.
Chuck was a plank owner during WWII and served as a plane captain aboard the USS Intrepid V-6 Division, in the American and the Asiatic-Pacific Theaters earning 5 battle stars, and the Philippine Liberation, earning 2 battle stars and a victory medal.
Honorably discharged, he returned to Conneaut to start his career as a butcher. Soon after, he moved to Ashtabula and owned the Stop-n-Shop on Main Avenue. He bought Isabelle's Delicatessen, boasting the "best pies" in the city, which then launched his catering business for over 20 years, including the food service at Kent State
University, Ashtabula. He was also employed as a bus driver for the Buckeye School District for 20 years retiring in 2000.
A huge Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, Chuck was a long time member of the Exchange Club, UAW, American Legion, and a 50 year member of the Knights of Pythias. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and participated in many bowling tournaments around the state.
He also enjoyed playing cards, his camping excursions with his buddies, spending time with his family and his annual Intrepid Navy Reunions. In 2009, he was honored to be part of the honor flight trip to the WWII memorial in Washington, DC.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Beth (David) Dixon of Ashtabula and Barbara D. Vincent of Canton, Michigan and son David D. (Liz) of Cape Coral, FL. Grandchildren include Brooke Hinson of Maple Heights, Aimee (Jack) Harris of Danville, CA, Jason (Stacey) Dixon and Jarrod (Kristie) Dixon both of Ashtabula, David Charles Devereaux of Toledo, and Katie Irene Vincent. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Ryan and Kristen Hinson, and a great-great grandson, Rylan, and cousin, Leota Noce. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Irene (Castrilla) and also two brothers, George and Billy who died as small children.
A memorial service will be held 11:00a Monday October 10th at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 4901 Main Ave with the Rev. Canon C. David Evans officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at Ridgeview Cemetery. Family will greet guests and honor their beloved dad and grandpa on Sunday, Oct 9th from 5-7p at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming and Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect, Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, or Honor Flight Cleveland, 37 Levan Drive, Painesville, OH 44077.
The family would like to thank all the ladies at Silver Sands who so graciously loved and cared for our father/grandfather. We are truly blessed by your kindness and compassion.

John J. O'Neill Jr
December 21, 1935 - October 6, 2011
Services: October 11th, 2011 at 10:00 A.M.
John J. O誰eill, Jr. 75 of Eagleville Rd. Jefferson, Ohio died Thursday (Oct. 6th) at his home. He was born December 21, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of John and Margaret (Rice) O誰eill, Sr. He was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School.
He retired from Federal Mogul in Alabama in 2000 and moved to Jefferson three years ago. He is a member of St. Joseph Church in Jefferson, Ohio. He was a Master Gardener ; he enjoyed Bird watching and traveling.
Surviving him are his wife, Nancy (Sprenger) O誰eill whom he married Oct. 1, 1955; three children, John Brian O誰eill of Ontario, California, Felicia Pacifica of San Francisco, California and Karen O誰eill Kochevar of Mentor, Ohio and two grandsons, Michael and Joseph Shannon. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Elizabeth Roche and a brother, Kevin O誰eill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday (Oct. 11th) at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 32 East Jefferson St. Jefferson, Ohio with Rev. Father Charles Poore officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
