Jo Ann Smith
SALEM - Jo Ann Smith, age 53 died Friday, July 24, 2020 at her home.
She was born April 17, 1967, daughter of James and Carol (Manypenny) Thompson. Jo Ann was a 1985 graduate of West Branch High School and graduated from Raphael School of Beauty.
She was a hairdresser for 35 years, loving her job and clients. Jo Ann attended Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford.
She loved going to the beach, dancing and being around people, especially her grandchildren. Jo Ann never met a stranger.
Survivors include her parents, James and Carol Thompson of New Waterford; three sons, Kyler (Kaitlin) Smith of Salem; Kasen Smith of Sebring and Kolton Smith of Salem; four grandchildren, Kruz, Kinsley, Kenna and Carter; niece, Cameryn, nephew, Cole; brother, James (Debra) Thompson of Doylestown and fiance', Alan Sewell of Youngstown A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Stark Memorial.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 Tuesday, July 28, 2020 and 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. For the safety of the Smith family and visitors, please adhere to social distancing, do not linger, and bring your own mask. Burial will be held at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to University Hospital, Seidman Cancer Center, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.

Hannah Elizabeth Schnorrenberg
SALEM - Hannah Elizabeth Schnorrenberg, age 25 died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 6, 1994 in Youngstown, daughter of Daniel Schnorrenberg and Darla (Simpson) Schnorrenberg. Hannah was a 2013 graduate of Forest High School in Ocala, FL and a student of Kent State Salem.
She was a bartender at the Salem Italian American Club and previously worked at the Elks Lodge. Hannah was very creative and enjoyed crocheting, woodburning, enjoying beach life and loved her Harley Davidson. She was known for her great sense of humor.
Survivors include her parents, Darla Schnorrenberg of Salem and Daniel Schnorrenberg of Spring Hill, FL; maternal grandmother, Gladys Simpson of Salem; paternal grandfather, Richard Schnorrenberg of Ocala, FL; sister, Ashley Spitalsky of Bedford; and brother, Eric Crawford of Minerva. Preceding her in death was maternal grandfather, Walter Simpson and paternal grandmother, Cheryl Schnorrenberg. A Celebration of Hannah's life, that will include open sharing, will be from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Stark Memorial. James Robert Brown
SALEM - James Robert Brown, age 64, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 17, 1955 in Knoxville, TN, son of the late Raymond Lee and Deltha (Brinyark) Brown. James worked as a machine operator for American Wire and Cable. He is Baptist by Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Paula M. (Everard) Brown whom he married November 10, 1979; three daughters, Angela (Mark) Dannemiller, Christina M. (Shylo) Carnes and Amber Brown, all of Salem; two sisters, Kathy (Marty) Satterfield and Marlene Goodman, both of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, Freddy (Christine) Brown and Michael Brown, both of Knoxville, TN; nephew, James Tilson of Knoxville, TN, and four grandchildren, Audriana Lanum, Mackenzie, Hunter and Landon Carnes.
Besides his parents, a sister, Shirley Robertson and five brothers, Philozan, Raymond Jr., Harvey, Howard and Tony Brown also preceded him in death. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Stark Memorial. A livestream of the service will be available on the funeral home Facebook page.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 and 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. For the safety of the Brown family and visitors, please adhere to social distancing, do not linger and bring your own mask.

Martha Jane Hubbs
Martha Jane Hubbs, 88, died Friday, July 17, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Salem. Martha was born November 24, 1931 in Kensington, OH, a daughter of the late James and Leola (Bashaw) Becknell. Martha was a 1949 graduate of Minerva School. She worked at Salem Regional Medical Center in the Dietary and Physical Therapy departments for 23 years. Martha was a member of Phillips Christian Church. Some of her favorite past - times were reading, quilting, needle working, and painting. She is survived by her husband Mickey, whom she married Dec. 23, 1955; one son, Michael (Catherine) of Marblehead, OH; three daughters, Danelle (Mike) Soroka of Austintown, Cheryl (Tim) McQuiston of Beloit, and Holly (Steve) Ash of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Bill (Linda) Becknell of Minerva and Dan (Betsy) Becknell of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Melanie, Aaron, Matthew, and Mitchell; four great - grandchildren, Taylor, Kayla, Cameron, and Katelyn.
Besides her parents, Martha was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Bernet; and two brothers, Harold and Larry Becknell. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 1:30 p.m at Stark Memorial. Friends and family will be received one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Hope Cemetery. For the safety of the Hubbs family and visitors, please adhere to social distancing and bring your own mask.

Colleen F. Stoll
"Together Again"
Salem - Colleen F. Stoll, 67, died July 15, 2020. Colleen was born in Canton, OH on January 10, 1953, a daughter of the late James and Lucile (Sunderman) McKee.
She was a 1971 graduate of Salem High School and Kent State University. Colleen was an RN for over 30 years, most recently at the Mahoning County Jail, before retiring several years ago. A few of her favorite pastimes were watching I Love Lucy and Judge Judy, getting her nails done, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, James W. Stoll, whom she married Oct. 9, 1982, died Sept 30, 2016. She is survived by two sons, Brian (Autum) Stoll of Salem and Brett (Cody) Stoll of Canfield; and four grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Colleen was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas McKee and William Sunderman. Due to the current health situation there will be no services or calling hours. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Catherine O. Justice
Columbiana - Catherine O. Justice, age 82, of Columbiana, died on Friday, July 17, 2020 at her home in Columbiana.
She was born on June 13, 1938 in Salem, OH, daughter of the late LaClair and Roberta Cunningham Nelson. Catherine had worked as a Salesperson for JC Penny for nearly 40 years and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Columbiana. She enjoyed taking family vacations to Geneva on the Lake, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, D. Eugene Justice, whom she married on October 14, 1958; two daughters, Barbara J. (Ronald) Dattilio of Salem, and Susan M. Treep of Leetonia. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Lucas (Melanie) Dattilio of Uniontown, and Jacob Dattilio of Salem. Catherine was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dick Treep. Private family services will be held.

Randall Hoyt Barnes
Columbiana - Randall Hoyt Barnes, 68, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, FL. Randall was born November 26, 1951 in Salem, a son of the late Robert W. and Margaret Louise Deem Barnes. He had been a truck driver for Ed Wilson and Son Trucking, Inc. Randall was a member of Greenford Christian Church where he volunteered as an usher and greeter and was involved in Big Reach and Bible study. While enjoying Nascar he helped with Motor Racing Outreach at Michigan International Speedway. He also enjoyed camping, bowling, and coaching softball, baseball, basketball and bowling. Most of all he loved being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Senior, whom he married September 11, 1981; his daughter, Stephanie (Adam) Peak of Columbiana; four sons, Duane Barnes, Jason (Amanda) Barnes and Randy (Cami) Barnes all of Lisbon and Eric (Erica) Neiheisel of Garrettsville; thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sisters, Sandra (Willis) Smith and Susan White both of Columbiana; four brothers, Russell (Diane) Barnes of Columbiana, Roger (Diana) Barnes of Galion, Michael (Viola) Barnes of Reston, VA and Ronald Barnes of Springfield, OH; and a brother-in-law, Larry Walters.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Lee Treleven and Patty Walters, and two brothers, Robert Barnes, Jr. and Richard Barnes. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Greenford Christian Church with Sean Kelly officiating. Louise A. Landsberger Yacullo
Glendale, AZ - Louise A. Landsberger Yacullo,93, formerly of East Palestine, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 in Arizona where she had been residing.
She was born on June 6, 1927 in East Palestine, OH, daughter of the late William and Edna Pike Landsberger. Louise was a homemaker and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. when she was living in East Palestine. Her husband, Dominic J. Yacullo, whom she married on June 27, 1986, preceded her in death. Louise is survived by her sister, Evelyn (Jerome) Bailey of East Palestine and Margaret Stratton of Greer, SC; a daughter, Jane Martin, a grandson Jason Martin and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, William, Edward, Fred, Albert, Charles Elvie and Frank Landsberger; and two sisters, Edna Knight and Virginia Artrip.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 pm Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Van Dyke - Swaney Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine. To protect the families that we serve, our staff, and you, our neighbors and friends, we ask that visitors use face masks and follow the social distancing protocol. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Father Christopher Cicero officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Palestine.

Dennis 'Big Den' McCollum
SALEM - Dennis 'Big Den' McCollum, age 66 died Monday, July 10, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 29, 1953 in Salem, son of the late James A. and Florence M. (Hott) McCollum. Dennis was a truck driver for several companies.
He was an avid Harley Davidson fan and loved motorcycles.
Survivors include three nephews, Doug McCollum, Mike McCollum and Jeff McCollum; great niece, Brittney Beeson and sister-in-law, Ida Ann McCollum.
Besides his parents, a brother, James Phillip and a sister, Phyllis Lindsay also preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Hope Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Christine A. Riggs
East Palestine - Christine A. Riggs, age 67, of East Palestine, died on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
She was born on May 25, 1953 in Salem, OH, daughter of the late John and Alice Pook Riggs. Christine had worked as a Shipper with Ballonoff Corp. of Columbiana. Christine is survived by her three sisters, Bonnie Evans of East Palestine, Patricia (Thomas) Kasiewicz of Niles, Dorothy (Daniel) Bruner of Hanoverton and a brother, Benjamin Riggs of East Palestine.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Diana Dailey and Kimberly Riggs and a brother, John J. Riggs, Jr. A private family funeral will be held at Van Dyke - Swaney - Rettig Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. Friday July 10, 2020
