Mary Kolenc
Mary Magdalene Slaga Kolenc, 81, Hopedale, died Nov. 22, 2002 in Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.
She was born Aug. 12, 1921 in Plum Run, Jefferson County, a daughter of the late John and Anna Maslarczyk Slaga.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale and a member of the Polish National Alliance in Michigan.
She was the widow of the late Donald Edward Kolenc who died April 19, 2002.
Surviving are three sons and daughter-in-laws, John and Deborah Kolenc of Inkster, Mich., Dennis and Frances Kolenc of North Richland Hills, Texas and Joseph and Scarlet Kolenc of Inkster, Mich.; five grandsons; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; and two sisters Mrs. Frances Bernick of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Mrs. Bernadine Matuska of Wintersville.
Service was held Nov. 25, 2002 at Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale with the Rev. Father
Thomas J. Vennitti celebrant. Burial in Hopedale Cemetery.

Wayne A. Amos Jr.
Wayne A. Amos Jr., 44, Scio, died Nov. 21, 2002 in his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 30, 1957 in Canton, a son of the late Wayne A. and Betty E. Rice Amos Sr.
He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church at Scio and worked as a mobile home setup man.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Margaret L. and Mary E.
Surviving are six sisters Catherine E. Telaroli of Canton, Patricia A. Cruise, Theresa W. Davis and Helen M. Fegley, all of Florida, Jane F. Amos of Carrollton and Rene F. Amos of Florida.
Service will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with the Rev. Milo Baker and the Rev. Gene Keplinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Leavittsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home from 11:30 until 1 p.m.

Richard Toto Sr.
Richard Toto Sr., 58, Adena, died Nov. 20, 2002 at Cleveland Clinic.
He was born May 30, 1944 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Joseph and Stella (Homitz) Toto.
He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel; a Navy veteran; a member of St. Casimirs Catholic Church, Adena, the Shortcreek Sportsmen's Club where he was a trustee, the Pine Valley Sportsmen's Club and the Adena Hunting and Fishing Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Eleanor Rock.
Surviving are his wife Ruth (Sowers) Toto of 37 years; three sons, Richard Jr. and wife Peggy of Adena, Gary and wife Reke of Adena, Joseph of Adena; two brothers Mitch and wife Nancy of Morristown and David and wife Phyllis of Adena; two sisters, Dolores Bengier of Richmond and Phyllis Yates of Circleville; and five grandchildren.
Friends are welcome Friday from 4-9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena where vigil services will be held at 9 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. Casimirs Catholic Church, Adena with Msgr. John Kolesar as celebrant. Burial in St. Casimirs Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimirs Catholic Church 221 Hanna Ave., Adena, Ohio 43901.
Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena was in charge of arrangements.

George T. "G.T" Coultrap Jr.
George T. "G.T." Coultrap Jr., 33, Adena, died Nov. 18, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born Aug. 2, 1969 a son of George Thomas Coultrap Sr. of Cadiz and Janine Greaves of Westerville.
He was a self-employed truck driver, a member of the Vulture Club in Cadiz, a member of the Harrison County Fair Board where he was the youngest fair board member in the State of Ohio.
He was a wonderful husband, father, son, grandson, son-in-law and friend who is lived and will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Margaret Coultrap and J.W. and Dorothy Greaves.
Surviving are his wife Shawna (Schucht) Coultrap; parents; children Taylor and Tucker of the home; brother Joshua Rose of Fayetteville, N.C.; and sister Emily Coultrap of Westerville.
Friends are welcome Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena where funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Clint Marshall officiating. Burial in Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harrison County 4-H, c/o OSU Extension Harrison County, 538 N. Main Street, Suite H, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.

Lola D. Eddy,
Lola D. Eddy, 86, a longtime resident Dellroy resident, died Nov. 19, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Carrollton.
She was born April 14, 1916 in Pacific Junction, Iowa, a daughter of the late Christopher and Faustina Ramierz.
A homemaker most of her life, Lola cherished the company of her friends playing Scrabble in her local scrabble club. She always had a love and appreciation for flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Theodore Eddy; parents; a son Michael; sister Elsie DeNero; and a great-granddaughter.
Surviving are four sons and three daughters and their spouses, Richard (Kathy) Caudillo of Onyx, Calif., David (Nancy) Stinehour of Galion, Chris (Libby) Eddy of Strongsville, Ohio, Chuck (Kathy) Eddy of Brooklyn, Ohio, Mrs. Margaret Karns of Bowerston, Mrs. Gail Sheehe of Mansfield and Mrs. Jim (Dolly) Moore of Carrollton; a half-sister Lupe Thoma of Mansfield; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Pastor Al Sales officiating. Following cremation, her ashes will be interred in the Fairview U.M.C. Cemetery in Wayne County, Ohio. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2-4 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Carroll County Visiting Nurse's Assn. 301 Moody Ave., P.O. Box #610, Carrollton, Ohio 44615.

Marle Byrn Davis
Marle Byrn Davis, 88, Arizona, formerly of Cadiz, died Nov. 18, 2002 in Gilbert, Ariz.
She was born June 13, 1914 in Minnesota, a daughter of the late Jerry Martin Byrn and Maude Lou Brooks Byrn.
She was a former employee of the U.S. Government.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Davis; parents; a brother Milton Byrn.
Surviving are three nephews, William T. Ramsey of Belden, MS, Michael Davis of South Carolina, Jerry Byrn of La.; and two nieces Mary Elle Prophater of Hermitage, Pa. and Janice L. Ebling of Trafford, Pa.
Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home. Burial in Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Velma M. Albright
Velma M. Albright, 64, Uhrichsville died Nov. 17 in Union Hospital after a lenghty illness.
She was born Oct. 19, 1938 in Dennison and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lina Pringle Bell. She was a former employee of the Scio Pottery Co.
Surviving are her ex-husband and companion, Charles Albright; six sons, David, Dan, Rick and Charles Albright, all of Uhrichsville, Joe Albright of New Philadelphia and Scott Albright of Statesboro, Ga.; three sisters; a brother; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be held Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Koch Funeral Home in Scio with the Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiation. Burial will follow in Conotton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
