Kathleen A. Muckleroy (nee Homer) – 56 of North Ridgeville, formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away, Thursday, October 21 at the Cleveland Clinic following a sudden illness. Mrs. Muckleroy was born, August 17, 1948 in Altoona Pa and has lived in North Ridgeville the past 12 years.
Mrs. Muckleroy worked as a Nurse Staffing Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic for 18 years. She was a 1967 graduate of Avon Lake High School. Besides loving her children and grandchildren, Mrs. Muckleroy enjoyed her two dogs Bubby and Muffy as well as sewing.
Besides her husband Arden R. whom she married November 11, 1967, Mrs. Muckleroy is survived by son Shawn A. Muckleroy (Christina) of Sheffield Lake, daughter Heather A. Keane (Daniel) of Avon Lake and 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan, Madison and Hailey. She is also survived by two brothers Ronald Homer of Massachusetts and Paul Homer, Jr., of Elyria and her step-mother Layala Homer of Sheffield Lake.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon from 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday and from 7-9pm Monday. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 26 at the funeral home at 11:00am. Deacon Robert K. Walling of Holy Spirit Parish, Avon Lake will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorial contribution may be forwarded to a Nurses Scholarship Fund that will be set up in Kathleen’s name.

Robert S. Knudsen – 65 of Avon Lake, formerly of Bay Village, passed away, Thursday, October 21, at his home following a lengthy illness. Mr. Knudsen was born, September 19, 1939 in Fairview Park and has lived in Avon Lake the past 39 years.
Mr. Knudsen was a 1957 graduate of Bay Village High School and attended Ohio University. He was a dispatcher for Lyons Transportation Lines for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, woodworking and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Susan M. (nee Streeter) whom he married , June 9, 1961. Other survivors include 3 sons, Scott C. (Doris) Knudsen of Avon Lake, William R. (Cindy) Knudsen of Lorain and Thomas S. (Lisa) Knudsen of Westlake. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Kelli, Lauren, Nicholas, Alexa and Nathan and a sister Sandy.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Sunday, October 24 from 2:00-5:00pm. Memorial Services will be Sunday at the funeral home, Sunday at 5pm. James Scott Hirth, 43, of Elyria, a computer programmer analyst for 17 years, died suddenly after a long illness. He was born October 18, 1960 in Elyria where he lived his entire life. He was a graduate of Elyria High School in 1979 where he played football. Mr. Hirth attended LCCC studying computer programming, worked for Lorain County Bank, Elyria, May Department Stores in Lorain, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Beechwood, and Ohio Savings Bank, Cleveland. He played baseball at Little League East for ten years. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria. Mr. Hirth enjoyed sports, gardening, biking, and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his three daughters Jenniifer M., Jordan D., and Brittany M., of Elyria; parents Richard E. and A.Jean (nee: Hartman) Hirth of Elyria; brother Daniel R. of Columbia Station; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins living in Ohio and PA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ernest F. and Lina M. Hirth (nee: Butz) of Elyria and Samuel C. and Ruth A. Hartman (nee: McCartiny) of Mont Alto, PA and several aunts, uncles and cousins in Ohio and PA.
Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 114 Second St., Elyria, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 22, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 9685 East River Rd., Elyria.
