Nancy Jayne D. Macdonald – 75 of Avon Lake formerly of Worton MD and Steubenville, OH, lost her battle with cancer, Monday, January 10, 2005 at her home. She was born April 28, 1929 in Jeannette, PA and had lived in Avon Lake for 15 years.
Mrs. Macdonald was a good and loving mother. She was described by her family as kind generous and wonderful. As a hobby she was an amateur radio operator (H.A.M. operator).
Mrs. Macdonald is survived by 3 daughters: Diane M. Gaughan (John) of Columbus, Kristen A. Crawford (Tom) of Acworth GA and Sandra L. Macdonald of Avon Lake. Other survivors include 3 grandchildren: Nicole, JJ and Kylie and 2 brothers: Richard Doncaster of Worton, MD and William T. Doncaster of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by her pet dog Roxie. She is preceded in death by her husband A. John Macdonald, III whom she married
, November 7, 1953 passed away August 30, 1987 and her parents, William Trall and Jayne (nee Miller) Doncaster.
A memorial service will be Thursday, January 13 at 4pm at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon. Pastor Bill Shomo of Hospice of the Western Reserve will officiate. Cremation by Busch Funeral and Crematory Services. Interment will be at a later date in Union cemetery, Steubenville, OH. Memorial Contributions may be forwarded to a charity of choice for lung cancer research.
