Beulah P. Davenport (nee Haga) - 96, of Elyria, formerly of Zephyr Hills, Fl, passed away suddenly Monday evening at Lifecare Center of Elyria, following a brief illness. She was born in 1907 in Summerfield, OH and lived most of her life in the Columbus, OH area, then retiring to Florida. She has resided in Elyria for the past 10 years to be near her niece.
During her career, she was a business woman, selling automobiles, mobile homes, trailers and various recreational vehicles, in Columbus, OH. She was a member of the Homeowners Association in Zephyr Hills, FL. She enjoyed dancing and extensive traveling.
Beulah is survived by her niece, who was her caregiver, Mrs. Shirley Stanton (husband, Ernest) of Elyria; several nieces and nephews in the Akron, OH area; great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Gardner and her second husband, Harry Davenport.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street in Elyria on Saturday, August 28 at 10:30am. Rev. Jim Gordon, Pastor of Elyria Baptist Church in Elyria, will officiate. Inurnment will be at Oakside cemetery, Zephyr Hills, FL.

Avon Lake, OH - Joan L. "Gordi" DePaolis (nee Gordon), age 73, of Avon Lake, died Friday August 20, 2004 in her home following a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born January 23, 1931 in Southern California and moved to Avon Lake in 2002 from Wilmington, North Carolina, where she and her beloved husband Dick resided for 13 years. Gordi received her B.S.N. from the San Diego County Hospital School of Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Before retirement, Gordi was employed by Pontiac Michigan Visiting Nurse Association. Gordi was completely devoted to Dick, her husband of nearly 44 years who died in June of last year. She was an avid reader, crossword "puzzler" and "life of the party" who befriended all and welcomed them into her heart, home and family with her embracing hospitality.
Gordi is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Jeff Windahl of Bay Village, Ohio and Christine and Todd Schultz of Farmington Hills, Michigan; and five grandchildren, Matthew and Haley Windahl and Jack, Allison and Sydney Schultz.
A memorial service will be held at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Rd. Bay Village on Saturday, August 28 at 3:00pm, where friends and family will be received from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Rev. Tom Madden, associate pastor, and Rev. Henry Woodruff, pastor of Chardon United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation handled by Busch Crematory. Memorials may be forwarded to the Visiting Nurse Association of Cleveland Hospice, 2500 E. 22nd St. Cleveland, OH 44115 or the Bay Presbyterian Church Parish Nurse Ministry, 25415 Lake Rd.
