WILLIAM D. KERRIGAN, SR.: age 65 of Troy, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11:55 p.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born December 27, 1937 in Piqua, OH to the late John L. and Oneda (Weaver) Kerrigan.
Three sons and daughter-in-law survive Mr. Kerrigan: Tim & Karen Kerrigan, Piqua, OH Bill & Pam Kerrigan, Kieffer, WV and Dan & Tammy Kerrigan, Kieffer, WV; Two daughters and son-in-law: Roxanne & Chuck Drake, Piqua, OH and Marie Boyer, Springfield, OH. He is also survived by one brother: Donald R. Kerrigan, Middletown, OH; five sisters: Janet Fox, Troy, OH, Patsy Elliot, Sidney, OH, Doris Greene, West Chester, OH, Maxine Stump, Piqua, OH, Rosalie Kerrigan, Piqua, OH. and 8 grandchildren. Four brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandchild preceded him in death.
Mr. Kerrigan was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua, OH. He was a member of the Piqua AMVETS #72 and Troy Fraternal Order of the Eagles # 971. He served our country in the U.S. Army.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 12:00 noon. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray the funeral expenses.

Adelle M. (Meyer) Bernard: age 74 of Piqua; died Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at 6:39 a.m. at Arthur James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born December 2, 1929 in Egypt, Ohio to the late Anton and Catherine (Schmiesing) Meyer. She married Stanley E. Bernard April 23, 1949 in Minster, Ohio; he survives.
Mrs. Bernard is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Susan Bernard of Piqua and John (Jack) and Susan Bernard of Milford, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law: Sandra and Robert Black of Piqua; two sisters: Viola Shenk and Evelyn Schulte both of Minster, OH and one brother: Paul Meyer of Minster, OH. Adelle is also survived by eight grandchildren: Ryan Black and Kristin Kronenberger, Heather Black, Brian Cary and Hope Cox, Matthew Bernard all of Piqua and Lauren and Sara Bernard of Milford, OH and three great grandchildren: Jenna Kronenberger, Dahlton Black and Braxton Cary all of Piqua. One son: Mark Bernard and four brothers preceded her in death.
Adelle graduated from Minster High School in 1947. She was a member of St. Boniface Church in Piqua and the St. Clara Society. She worked as a bookkeeper at Tempo Trophy for 10 years and retired from Hartzell Fan after 3 years of service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church in Piqua with Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery in Piqua. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home; with a prayer service at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Boniface Reserve Education Fund or the Leukemia-Myeloma Society.

STEVEN L. MARTIN, 60 of Piqua, died Thursday January 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.
He was born Feb. 19, 1943 in Urbana, Oh to the late Howard K. and Wilma D. (Brigner) Martin. He married Donna D. Center on July 24, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana and she survives.
Two sons and daughters-in-law survive Mr. Martin, Andrew T. and Mary T. Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio and S. Sean and Sherry Martin of Cincinnati, Oh. He is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Larry K. and Elizabeth Martin of Weems, Virginia. Two grandchildren, Mitchell Martin and Cecilia Martin of Cincinnati, Oh.
Mr. Martin graduated from Urbana High School in 1961 and then he attended Miami University. Mr. Martin was a member of the Family of Grace United Methodist Church where he sang in the Church choir and he also had leading parts in the Church’s annual Dinner Theatre production. Steve was very active in the community of Piqua.He served as the President of the Piqua Kiwanis Club in 1986 and he received the high honor as Kiwanian of year in 1985. He was the President of Wilder PTA and a Recipient of the Piqua School System PHD Award. Steve was a past President of the Piqua Board of Education. He was past Assistant Vice President of Piqua National Bank and also a past YMCA Board member. Steve retired from Dan Hemm Auto Group in 2003 after many years of service as Sales Manager and General Manager.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday January 5, 2004, at the Family of Grace United Methodist Church in Piqua, with the Dr. Dennis Miller and Rev. Jack Chalk officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday Jan. 4, 2004 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Grace Memorial Fund 9411 N. County Rd. 25-A Piqua, Oh. 45356 or to the Piqua Education Foundation 719 East Ash St. Piqua, Oh. 45356.

CHARLENE K. BRIDGES, age 58, of Piqua, Ohio, died Sunday January 4, 2004 at 2:20 A.M. in her residence. She was born April 11, 1945 in Troy, Ohio to the late Basil and Marietta (Dudley) Persinger.
Charlene married Robert F. Bridges, Sr. February 15, 1986 in Piqua, Ohio and he survives. Also surviving is 1 Daughter & Son-In-Law: Tina and Tod Heck of Piqua, Ohio. 1 Son & Daughter-In-Law: James and Helena Harper of Fletcher, Ohio, 1 Step Son: Bobby D. Bridges of California, 1 Step Daughter: Kimberly Bridges of Greenville, Ohio. 2 Brothers: William Persinger of Clifton, Texas, Clay Estep of Melbourne, Fla. 3 Sisters: Frances Dankworth of Piqua, Ohio, Wanda Persinger of Ft. Myers, Fla. Roberta Best of Piqua, Ohio, and 7 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 Brothers.
Mrs. Bridges was a charter-founding member of the Church of Jesus in Piqua, Ohio where she was known to everyone in the church as “ Nanna”. She taught Sunday School in the nursery for many years and helped in Bible School and helped cook for the church, she gave much of her time and talent in many areas of the church unceasingly for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 10, 2004 at 11 A.M. at the Church of Jesus in Piqua, Ohio with Elder Howard Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Highland cemetery, Covington, Ohio. Calling hours will be Friday 5-8 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, and Saturday at the church from 10 A.M. –11 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of Jesus 421 Wood St. Piqua, Ohio 45356.

CLIFFORD H. KLASE, 87, of Troy, Ohio, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday January 5, 2004 at Harborside Nursing Home in Troy.
He was born March 20, 1916 in Piqua to the late Jim and Matilda (Jageal) Klase. He married Mary Arbogast and she died in 1979. He then, married Ruth Cooke on March 6, 1985 in Troy, Oh. and she survives.
Mr. Klase is survived by two daughters and son-in-law; Teri Stephenson of Troy, Oh. and Toni and Emile Sirois of New Jersey; two step-sons, Charles Cooke of Brookville, Oh., John Cooke of Bowling Greene, Oh.; one step-daughter, Karen Cooke of North Agusta, North Carolina; Four brothers, Charlie Curtis of Piqua, Louie Curtis of Owensburge, Kentucky, Fernie Curtis of Piqua, George Curtis of Troy; one sister Teresa Mikolajewski of Piqua. Eleven Grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Mr. Klase was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Raymond Curtis and two sisters Rozella McCawley and Eileen Deeter.
He was a member of St. Boniface Church in Piqua. He was also a member of the Piqua Fraternal Order of Eagles #614, the Piqua Knights of Columbus and the Piqua Knights of St. Johns. Mr. Klase also served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Klase Market in Piqua for over 20 years, and retired from Grissoms Market after 10 years of service.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at St. Boniface Church in Piqua with Rev. Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery in Piqua. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Reserve Education Fund, 310 S. Downing St., Piqua, Oh. 45356.

AGNES J. MEEHLING, 90, of N. Olmstead, Ohio, formerly of Piqua, Oh. Died at 6:10 a.m. Thursday January 8, 2004, at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born June 12, 1913, in Sidney, Ohio. She married Frank C. Meehling and he died Jan. 1, 1970.
Ms. Meehling is survived by one son: Don Meehling of Rocky river, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Ms. Meehling graduated from Sidney High School in 1931. She was a member of St. Boniface Church in Piqua. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary at St. Boniface.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday January 12, 2004, at St. Boniface Church in Piqua with Rev. Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery in Piqua. Calling Hours will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday Jan. 11, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua. A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Funeral Home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 20 W. Main Street, Piqua, Ohio 45356.

Anne R. (Annie) Anthony, 74, of Piqua, died at 7:38 a.m. Monday Jan. 19, 2004 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born Feb. 4, 1929 in Rock Island, Texas to the late Joseph and Pearl (Garcza) Garcia. She married William J. Anthony, Sr. on July 19, 1949 in Piqua. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1996.
Ms. Anthony is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, William J. and Sue Anthony, Jr. of Piqua, Oh, David L. Anthony of Girard, Ohio; three brothers, Healy Garcia of Cincinnati, Oh, Ted Garcia of Milpitas, California, and Tiny Garcia of Arizona; three sisters, Ruby Crabtree of Howell, Michigan, Ruth Ann Garcia of Texas and Virginia Garcia of California; six grandchildren, Amanda (Mindy) Fischer of Hamilton, Oh, William Joseph Anthony III of Piqua, Oh, Thomas Anthony of Piqua, Oh, Christopher Anthony of Girard, Oh, James Anthony of Girard, Oh, and Jessica Anthony of Girard, Oh; two great-granddaughters, Renee Ashley Anthony of Piqua, Oh, and Hope Elizabeth Anthony of Piqua, Oh. Ms. Anthony was preceded in death by four brothers.
Ms. Anthony graduated from Rock Island High School in Rock Island, Texas in 1947. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Piqua. She worked for Copeland Corporation as an assembler for 15 years and retired in 1975.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004 at St. Mary Church, Piqua, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Grilliot officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Oh. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Wed. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Catholic Schools 503 W. North St. Piqua, Oh. 45356 or the Sunrise Center for Adults Inc. 316 N. College St. Piqua, Ohio 45356.

STONEY DEAN STEVENS, age 41, of Piqua, Ohio, formerly of Ft. Gay, W.Va. died Sunday January 18, 2004 at 11:25 A.M. in his residence. He was born December 30, 1962 in Louisa Ky. to the late Charles A. Stevens and Eva Lue Mullett who survives and lives in Ft. Gay, W.Va. He is also survived by 2 Daughters: Amanda Sue Stevens of Piqua, Ohio and Carla Stevens of Columbus, Ohio. 2 Brothers: Randy Stevens and Charles A. Stevens, Jr. both of Piqua, Ohio. 2 Sisters-In-Laws: Monica and Karen Stevens both of Piqua, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Sunday January 25, 2004 at 1 P.M. at Young Funeral Home 201 W. Main St. Louisa, Ky. with Rev. Mike Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Stevens-Brumfield cemetery, Crum, W. Va. Calling hours will be Friday 6-9 P.M. and Saturday 10 A.M.-9 P.M. at the Young Funeral Home.

MARGARET MARY TERESA (SMITH) EIDEMILLER, age 88, of Piqua, OH, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday January 19, 2004, at her residence. She was born August 17, 1915, in Piqua, OH to the late William A. and Margaret Mary Francis (Coughlin) Smith. She married Maurice R. Eidemiller on October 21, 1938 in Piqua. He died May 22, 1996.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Edward and Lynne Eidemiller of Piqua, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law: Mrs. Wayne (Nancy) Flory of Covington, OH and Mrs. Israel (Sharon) Borouchoff of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Eidemiller graduated from Piqua Catholic High School in 1933. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Piqua. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Piqua Memorial Hospital for 10 years.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 23, 2004, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua with Rev. Fr. Thomas Grilliot officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington. Calling Hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.
