Thomas F. Adams
Thomas F. Adams, 82, of 8470 Franklin Madison Road, Franklin, died Friday Dec. 15, 2000, at his residence. A native of Wolfe County, Ky., he was the son of Green and Carrie (Campbell) Adams. He was an avid farmer and formerly worked at Stone Container at Franklin. He was also a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his son, Ray, of Franklin; six daughters; Marjorie Back, of West Carrollton, Carrie Million and Mildred Adams, both of Franklin, Evelyn Griffin, of Miamisburg, Lola Pugh, of Washington and Sue Creech, of Wolfe County; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Delmar Adams, of Middletown; and a sister, Lydia Williams, of Tucson, Ariz. He is also survived by a another son and stepson.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Eaton-Anderson-Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.

Caroline Watson Bolinger-Kreider
Caroline Watson Bolinger-Kreider, infant daughter of Ken Kreider and Emily Bolinger-Kreider, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2000, in Cincinnati. She was born on Dec. 14. She is survived by her parents, Ken and Emily Kreider of Cincinnati; her maternal grandparents, Preble and Greta Bolinger of Middletown; paternal grandparents, Gary and Barbara Kreider of New Richmond, Ohio; paternal great-grandmother, Josephine Kreider of Newark, Ohio; paternal great-grandmother, Catherine Browne of Cincinnati; uncles Gary A. Bolinger (Gayle) and Bradley D. Bolinger, both of Middletown; aunts Katy Greifenkamp (Mark) of New Richmond, Ohio, Krista Riblet (Jay) of Elkhart, Ind., Karen Gaunt (James) of Cincinnati and Kimberly Kreider of New Richmond, Ohio; and cousins, Ellen Bolinger-Pickel (Brian) of Knoxville, Tenn., and Kurt, Karl, Will and Jonathan.

Robert E. Dunaway
Robert E. "Bobo" Dunaway, 40, of Middletown, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. A Middletown native, he was born on May 27, 1960, to Robert and Phyllis Dunaway and was a lifelong resident. He was employed as a laborer at Minute Man. Mr. Dunaway was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Tonya Sue Henry. He is survived by a son, Robert Dunaway of Kentucky; daughters Brandi Fugate and Heather and Brittany Dunaway, all of Kentucky; and a sister, Dorothy Gilbert of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Donna L. Francis
Mrs. Donna L. Francis, 60, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at 10:03 a.m. at Middletown Regional Hospital after an extend illness. She was born March 2, 1940, in Middletown and lived here all her life. She was a self-employed hairdresser and co-owner and manager of the A Fortress Store and Lock. She was a member of Stratford Heights Church of God. She was preceded in death by her father, James Crouch, and husband, Beryl Francis in 1981. She is survived by a son, Jay Crouch and his wife, Sue of Cleveland; a daughter, Julie Barker of Middletown; six grandchildren, Joshua Francis, Lucas Crouch, Caleb Crouch, Phebe Crouch, Evan Crouch and Jonah Crouch; mother, Arlene Crouch of Middletown; a brother, James Crouch II of Middletown; a sister, Becky Ferguson and her husband, Steve of Middletown; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., with Pastors Sue Anne Urmstron and Carol R. Abner officiating. Nannie R. Fugate
Mrs. Nannie R. Fugate, 94, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1906, in Menifee County, Ky., and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Fugate was a homemaker and attended Edgewood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil R. Fugate in 1957; her parents, Charles and Amanda Staton; a grandson, Gary E. Fugate; sons Lloyd, Cecil and Leonard Fugate; brothers Henry, Chester, Amos and Clay Staton; a daughter, Mildred Ellington; and sisters Fannie Minton, Lola Dishman, Julia Peck, Lilly Mae Staton and Ruby Staton. She leaves five daughters, Frances Wells (Mason) of Dayton, and Mae Conrad, Mary Johnson (Mike), Jean Kakaris Baird (Jack) and Barbara Snell (Jack), all of Middletown; a son, Thomas Fugate (Caroline) of Camden; a brother, William Staton of Middletown; 37 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-grandchildren and five great-great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Deloris and Patsy Fugate, both of Middletown; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express its special thanks to Dr. Mark Williams, M.D., and to Hospice of Middletown.

Vernice C. Hayes
Vernice C. "Pee Wee" Hayes, 88, of Middletown, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Barbara Park Extended Care Center. He was born June 20, 1912, in Broadhead, Ky., the son of William Arch and Mary Ann (Wren) Hayes. He worked for Armco for 42 years, retiring in 1975. He lived in the community since 1928. He was a member of the Mbr. Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veda M. Hayes, in 1993; brothers, Willam A. Jr. and Franklin Hayes; and his parents. He is survived by a daugher, Shirley Ann (husband James) McNabb, of Middletown; sisters, Christine Lakens, of Springboro; Etheleen Butt, of Middletown; and brothers, Bert W. Hayes, of Arkansas, and Willard Hayes, of Franklin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Ave., Middletown. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum.

Loretta Hounshell
Loretta Hounshell, 70, of Trenton, died Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born April 19, 1930, in Sampson, Ky., the daughter of Robert Wilder and Mary (Dillman) Wilder. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Hounshell is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Hounshell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gerry and Carl Gentry, of Trenton, and Kaye and Tim Sebastian, of Germantown; a son, Larry Hounshell, of Idaho; her mother, who lives in Trenton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Savage, of Michigan; and a brother, Louie Wilder, of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Harry B. Hunt
Harry B. Hunt, formerly of Franklin, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Willow Knoll Nursing Home. A native of Middletown, he was the son of Harry and Marjorie (Reeve) Hunt. A former employee of Armco Steel, he retired in 1974 after 28 years. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Air Force Association 384 Bomber Group. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Donald. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Broughton); sons, Robert B., of Barstow, Calif., Donald B., of Monroe and Mark A., of Middletown; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Paul Hunt, of Springboro; and his mother, of Daytona Beach, Fla.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eaton-Anderson-Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin. The Rev. Robert E. Airhart II will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Sidney M. Lakes
Sidney M. Lakes, 85, of Middletown, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Garden Manor Extended Care Center. He was born in Jackson, Ky., on Dec. 11, 1915, the son of Sid Lakes and Betty (Lunsford) Lakes. He was a welder for United Welding, Aeronca and the Dupps Co. Mr. Lakes was past president of the Germantown Eagles Lodge No. 2292 and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Larry Dearth of Franklin, and Marsha and Bill McBride of Germantown; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Delores Lakes of Hungry Horse, Mont.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Martha (Lanier) Lakes in 1994, and a son, Richard Lakes.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Arthur Wilson officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Emma Leonard
Emma Leonard, 95, of Middletown, died Friday evening at Willow Knoll Nursing Center. Mrs. Leonard had been a member of Middletown Area Senior Citizens. She was born in Campton, Ky., Aug. 4, 1905. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Leonard, in 1975; her parents Caleb and Rosemary Campbell; three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, James Robert Holbrook. She is survived by a daughter, Wilma J. Holbrook, of Middletown; three grandchildren, Richard Scott Holbrook, of Middletown, Deborah Dudzik and Constance Goen, both of Monticello, Ind.; and a sister, Persie Mann.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, with the Rev. James Kinser officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

Bette Lindsey
Mrs. Bette (Fair) Lindsey, 67, of Franklin, and formerly of Morrow and Lebanon, Ohio, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2999, at the Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in Louisville, Ky., on Jan. 3, 1933. Bette was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother and a member of the Franklin Church of Christ. Her father, Lindsay Fair, preceded her in death Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles D. "Joe" Lindsey; her mother, Mabel (Humphreys) O'Daniel of Louisville, Ky.,; two sons, Frankie Joe Lindsey of Franklin and Charles L. "Pete" Lindsey of Fairfield; a daughter, Renee Poff of Hartsville, Tenn.; a brother, Lionel Fair of Louisville; three sisters, Patsy Mercer of Louisville, Doris Marie Page of Whitehouse, Tenn., and Ina Rae Engelken of Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren, Frankie Jo McClain, Michael Lindsey, Reanion Lindsey, Misty Dawn Blevins and Brandy Hall; and three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Gregory and Kali.

Charles L. Malott
Charles L. "Charlie" Malott, 86, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born on March 20, 1914, in Middletown, Ohio. Charlie, as he liked to be called, was a resident of Willow Knoll Nursing Home. He was a native of Middletown but had spent the previous years in Georgia and then in Florida. Charles worked as a salesman for Miller Welding selling welding machines. He loved his work and always had many stories to share. He also loved to play cards and was always ready for a good game --especially, if he won. He is survived by his nieces, Judy Svarda Dolin, Ruth Svarda of Columbus, Ohio, and Debbie Flint of Pasadena, Calif.; nephews Nathan and Kevin Svarda, William (Buddy) Svarda of El Segundo, Calif., and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Svarda in 1996; his parents; and a nephew, Julius.

Paul E. Margerum
Paul E. "Curly" Margerum, 100, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. He was born in Jacksonburg, Ohio, on Sept. 20, 1900, and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Margerum retired from Armco Steel Co. as a crane operator in 1966 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Margerum in 1983; his parents, Benjamin and Laura Margerum; a grandson, Michael Margerum; three brothers; and one sister. He leaves a son, Paul F. Margerum of Maineville, Ohio; daughters Marilyn (Robert) DeFrates of Chatauqua, Ohio, and Charmaine (William) Richmond of Eaton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Gladys Womack of Middletown.

Mildred L. Martin
Mildred L. Martin, 79, of Middletown, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Altera Clare Bridge Cottage in Middletown. She was born July 25, 1921, in Miltonville, Ohio, the daughter of William Wesco and Alberta (Scholl) Wesco. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Green Thumb Garden Club and Armco Wives Golf Club and a bowler. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Wesco Jr. and Charles Wesco. Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard E. Martin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale E. and Cecelia Martin of Springboro and Jerry and Susie Martin of Ocala, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Ferne E. McDade
Ferne E. McDade, 81, of Middletown, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Kensington Place. She was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Easton, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Hartel and Laura (Levengood) Hartel. Mrs. McDade was a 1937 graduate of Canal Fulton High School. She worked several years as a secretary at Armco Steel and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Middletown. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Harold, Dwight and Gale Hartel. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert J. McDade; two daughters, Sharon McDade, of Arlington, Va., and Linda McDade Peters and her husband, Frank, of Hamilton; two granddaughters, Laura and Sara Peters; and a sister, Melba Nau, of Canton, Ohio.

Hubert McQuiston
CAMDEN -- Hubert McQuiston, 89, of Camden, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. Mr. McQuiston was born on Feb. 19, 1911, in Israel Township, the son of the late Clayton and Pearl (DeArmond) McQuiston. He married Hilda Inman on April 12, 1939, in Liberty, Ind. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 1991. Mr. McQuiston was a self-employed farmer in the Preble County area all of his life. He was a member of the Morning Sun Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Farm Bureau Council No. 4, a member of the Board of Directors of Preble Landmark for 30 years, a member of the Shawnee Board of Education for nine years, a charter member of the Preble County Historical Society and he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Somerville National Bank for 34 years. A brother, Dwight McQuiston, also preceded him in death in 1978. He is survived by five children, Edgar C. (Leslie) McQuiston of Hamilton, Thomas L. (Karen) McQuiston of Camden, Jetta K. McQuiston of Camden, Gary A. McQuiston of Morning Sun and Richard R. (Judy) McQuiston, also of Camden; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation for Hubert McQuiston will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at the R.C. Nein & Sons -Thompson Funeral home, 249 N. Main St., Camden. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Molly Douthett officiating.

Ray Neal
Ray Neal, 80, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Means, Ky., on July 21, 1920, and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Neal was formerly employed as a welder at Dupps Co. where he worked for 39 years. He was a member of the Middletown Sportsman's Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshal and Pearle (Gross) Neal; brothers Mearle, Kennith, Paul and Bobbie Neal; and sisters Olema and Imogene. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Louise.

FRANKLIN -- Mrs. Dorothy Lee Pearson, 71, of 546 S. River St., passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born on Feb. 2, 1929, in Thornhill, Tenn., the daughter of Charles and Lillie (McDaniel) Johnson. Mrs. Pearson retired from Carlisle Manor Nursing Home in 1995. She is survived by her husband, Earl; two sons, Earl Pearson Jr. of Franklin and Rod Pearson, and his wife, Caran, of Middletown; three daughters, Brenda Morris, and her husband, Ron, of Middletown, Pamela Gaston, and husband, Bob, of West Middletown, and Donna Roser, and husband, Robin, of Camden; a brother, Jerry Coffey of Franklin; a sister, Frankie Crawford of Franklin; and five grandchildren, Jason and Melissa Morris, Jacob Oney, and Megan and Zachary Gaston.

Susan K. Pennington, 40, of Middletown, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at her residence. The daughter of Robert L. and Beulah (Carpenter) Pennington, she is survived by her mother, Beulah Welch, and her stepfather, Charles of Carlisle; a son, Scottie Welch of Carlisle; a sister, Phyllis Clark of Franklin; a brother, David Pennington of Germantown; and two stepbrothers, Jerry and James Welch of Wellington, Ky. She also is survived by nieces and nephews.

Ethel Plummer
Ethel Plummer, 95, of Middletown, died Friday, Dec. 15 at the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield. She was sponsored by the Middletown Lincoln Lodge No. 693. Ethel was born June 13, 1905, in Jackson, Ky., the daughter of Seymore and Armina Chapman. She was extremely proud of her extended family and friends. She also worked for years at the Polar Bear (P. Lolliard & Co.) where she helped her husband, Archie, support their family in the early 1930s. She will be missed by her family and all those who knew her. Mrs. Plummer is survived by her son, Vernon Plummer and his wife, Jeanie, and his family, Kenneth L. Plummer, Karen L. Plummer Magdos, and Kathy L. Plummer Eva, all of Cape Coral, Fla.; other grandchildren, Pamela Plummer, Debra Yurtkuran, Kimberly Wallace, Beverly Haycook, and Theodore Plummer; brother, Ray Chapman; halfsisters, Freida Hagamyer, and Ruby Fields; and halfbrothers, Eric Landrum and R.J. Landrum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie; son, Kenneth; sisters, Florence Chapman and Jewell Myers Whitaker; a brother, Troy Chapman; and a halfbrother, Uless Landrum.

Thomas T. Ross
SOMERVILLE -- Thomas Trenton Ross, 35, of Somerville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000. He was born on Oct. 11, 1965, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Thomas Ross and the late Brenda (Ross) Honesty. He married Kimberly Shuler on May 27, 1989, in Beechwood, Ohio. Thomas attended Preble Shawnee High School and was employed at Frazier Paper in West Carrollton for the past two years. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Hollingsworth. John C. Russell
John C. Russell, 70, of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Wolfe County, Ky., on Dec. 15, 1929, the son of John and Anna Russell. He lived in the Middletown area for 45 years and served in the Army during the Korean War. Mr. Russell was employed as a machine operator at Inland Container Corp. and had worked there for 25 years before retiring in 1980. He was a 45-year faithful member of the Towne Boulevard Church of God where he served as a Sunday school teacher, board member, usher and bus driver. John was an avid hunter. He had hunted in most of the western states as well as Ohio and Kentucky and had made the trip of his lifetime to New Zealand. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bob Russell. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Clarice Russell of Middletown; a son, Ed Russell (Ellen) of Middletown; a daughter, Lisa Korson (Shannon) of West Chester, Ohio; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joseph and Matthew Russell and Allison and Evan Korson; brothers Lee Russell and Elbert Russell, both of Salt Lick, Ky., Lawrence Russell of Mount Sterling, Ky., Byrl Russell of Carter County, Ky., and E. M. Russell of Miamisburg, Ohio; sisters Agnes Connelly of Paris, Ky., and Irene Pelfrey of Campton, Ky.; and very special friends, Fred and Barb Alcorn and Billy Fryman, all of Franklin, Ohio.

Henry J. Skipper
Henry J. Skipper, 83, of Middletown, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He is survived by two sons, Larry (Renee) and Angelo Skipper, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; a brother, Theodore Moore of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Teresa Echols of Detroit; and four grandchildren.

James E. Stork
James E. Stork, 72, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of West Chester, Ohio, died of lung cancer Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton. He was born on Feb. 4, 1928, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of James Raymond Stork and Ida (Back) Stork. James was a former teacher and coach at Monroe High School in the Middletown School System. He served a year as president of the Middletown Teacher's Association. After retirement, he enjoyed his hobby as a collectibles dealer. Mr. Stork was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellen Stork; three children, Peter Robinson of Tampa, Fla., David Stork of Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. Diane (Stork) Norton of West Chester, Ohio; two grandchildren, Edward Imler Norton and Andrew Joseph Norton of West Chester; and a sister, Mrs. Virginia (Stork) Johnson of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private recognition gathering will be held in the community room at the West Chester Public Library, 7900 Cox Road, between 2 and 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18. Cremation will be by the Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society of Cincinnati.

Allan E. Streibick
Allan E. "Gene" Streibick, 70, of Trenton, died Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Middletown, the son of Edwin Streibeck and Frances (Shafer) Streibick. Mr. Streibick served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Arnold Engineering in Tennessee and Armco Steel, retiring in 1992 after 23 years of service. Gene was a deacon in the First Baptist Church of Trenton and was active with the Buckeye Baptist Builders and the Ohio Disaster Relief Unit. He loved his family and spent much time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty; four children, Steve Streibick, of Lebanon, Sandy Grabau, of Middletown, Karen Cook, of Locust, N.C., and Mike Streibick, of Monroe; grandchildren, Steven Streibick, of Franklin, Trisha Lay, of Cincinnati, Jessica Grabau, of Middletown, Andrew and Maggie Cook, of Locust, N.C., and Nicholas and Samantha Streibick, of Monroe; great-grandchild, Cassidy Marie, of Franklin; sister, Linda, of Trenton; a cousin, Geraldine (husband, Olin) Cruse, of Monroe, as well as many other family members and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptis Church of Trenton, with the Reverends Keith Spencer, David Morris and Steven Streibick Jr. officiating. Mary Jane Tisdall
Mary Jane Tisdall, 85, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. She was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Middletown, the daughter of Clifford Crawford and Evelyn (Ogg) Crawford. Mrs. Tisdall was a graduate of Ohio University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Tisdall in 1995, and three brothers, Robert, William and Cliff Crawford. She is survived by a daughter, Page Piatt Gerber, (husband, Dr. David Gerber) of Marco Island, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Mary Beth Driscoll (husband, David A. Driscoll Jr.) of Boulder, Colo., and Amy Page Phelps of San Francisco, Calif.

Marcia A. Trinkle
Marcia A. Trinkle, 45, of Middletown, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born in Middletown on Nov. 6, 1955, to Ed and Lorena (Riley) Trinkle. Miss Trinkle attended Capital University and received her nursing degree from Miami University. She worked at Miami Valley Hospital and Childrens Hospital in Dayton. Marcia was a member of the First United Methodist Church and attended University Baptist Church. She was involved with various charitable organizations. Survivors include her parents, Ed and Lorena Trinkle of Middletown; a brother, Mark E. (Kim) Trinkle of Monroe; sisters Sharon K. (Ray) Farmen of Lincoln, Neb., and Robyn L. (Dale) Hocz of Middletown; and three nephews and two nieces.

William H. Williams
FRANKLIN -- William H. "Doc" Williams, 84, of Franklin, passed away at his residence Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000. He was born on Sept. 3, 1916, in Greenup County, Ky. Mr. Williams was employed at General Motors and retired after 30 years service. He was also a lifelong farmer and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Thelma (Looney) Williams; a daughter, Sandra Boggs, and her husband, Ed; two brothers, Homer Williams of South Portsmouth, Ky., and David Williams of South Shore, Ky.; a sister, Lucy Glenn of Holiday, Fla.; two grandchildren, Becky Moon and Darren Boggs; and four great-grandchildren.

Donald Wright
Donald Wright, 61, of Mims, Fla., formerly of Middletown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000. Donald was born June 2, 1939, to Ewell J. and Mildred K. Wright. He was a disabled Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the American Legion Post 1 in Mims, Fla. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Wright, in 1949. He is survived by his mother, who lives in Middletown; four sisters, Joan Martin and Margaret Patrick, both of Middletown, Caroline Fugate of Camden, Ohio, and Mary Greer of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Joseph Wright, of Middletown, and his twin, Ronald Wright, of Idaho.

Joseph L. Adams
CARLISLE -- Joseph L. Adams, 51 of 579 Central Ave., passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on Jan. 23, 1949, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Ora and Augusta (Abner) Adams. His parents and a brother, Ray, preceded him in death. Surviving are his brothers, Billy of Alvin, Texas, Jean of Tiffin, Ohio, and Malin of Jackson, Tenn.; and sisters, Elsie Mister of Middletown and Carolyn McKinney of Miamisburg.

Clinton Daniel Barnett
FRANKLIN -- Clinton Daniel "Danny" Barnett, 20, of Franklin, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, as a result of a traffic accident. He was born on Aug. 8, 1980, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Steve J. Barnett and Linda (Hamilton) Barnett. Danny was a 1999 Monroe High School graduate. He worked as a production operator at Champion Window. He is survived by his mother, Linda Barnett of Franklin; his father, Steve Barnett of Liberty Township; maternal grandmother, Oma Hamilton of Monroe; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clinton and Betty Barnett and Dan Hamilton.

Mattie F. Branham
GERMANTOWN -- Mrs. Mattie F. Branham, 96, of Germantown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000. Mrs. Branham was born on Jan. 30, 1904, to the late Willie C. and Calista M. (Jones) Cox. She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Kelly Branham in 1989; two granddaughters, Donnette Cowdrey and Debra Branham; three sisters, Anna Taylor, Elbertine Brewer and Beulah Cox; and her brother, Wilbur Cox. She is survived by seven daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille (Theodore) Meadows, Bernice (Ralph) Smith, Mary (Warren) Little, Louise (Dean) Phelps and Joyce Hearn, all of Germantown, Julia Smith of Miamisburg and Ola (Butch) Scully of Tipp City, Ohio; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Woodford Branham of Somerset, Ky., and Warren "Buck" (Carol) Branham of Germantown; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ada (Elmer) Duchart of Michigan, Flora Owens of Florida and Nannie Burnside of Lebanon, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia M. Bush
Virginia Marie (Ellis) Bush, 68, of Middletown, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 25, 1931, in Middletown, Ohio, and had lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker and also was employed as a salesperson at Meijer for 14 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Joyful Women's Class at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph and Anna Lou (Combs) Ellis; a brother, William Ellis; and three sisters, Delma Armstrong, Geraldine Randolf and Patricia Gilbertson. She is survived by six sons, William H. Bush and his wife Faye of Middletown, Michael J. Bush of Woodsdale, Ohio, Richard R. Bush and his wife Patricia of Woodsdale, David L. Bush and his wife Sharon of Galveston, Texas, Robert A. Bush and his wife Janet of LaMarque, Texas, and Gary E. Bush and his wife Freda of Middletown; two daughters, Sandra Marie Keister and her husband Harold, and Alma Suzzette Romans, and her husband David, all of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Dobzynecki, Juanita Evans and Carol Sue Elam, and her husband Von, all of Middletown; and two brothers and their wives, David and Diane Ellis of Middletown, and Richard and Pat Ellis of Centerville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Bessie Caudill
Bessie Caudill, 78, of Middletown, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born March 14, 1922, in Jeremiah, Ky. She was a homemaker and a member of Little Family Church of Old Regular Baptist. Mrs. Caudill was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Adams and Susan Caudill Adams; and two sons, Roy Clayton Caudill in 1995 and Neal E. Caudill in 1945. She is survived by her husband of 58 1/2 years, Roy Caudill; sons, Larry Caudill of Somerset, Ky., Hendricks Caudill of Bowling Green, Ky., and Wesley Caudill of Oakland, Ky.; daughters, Cora Anderson of Trenton and Centa Lane of Fletcher, Ohio; a brother, Jesse W. Adams of Franklin; sisters, Hassie Adams and Winnie Mae Feltner, both of Miamisburg; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

William T. Conrad
William Thomas Conrad, 69, of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000. He was a born-again Christian and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Conrad was a skilled gem stone cutter and also a crafted woodcutter. He was a very talented locksmith and was employed as the Lebanon Correctional Institution's locksmith for 30 years before retiring in 1992. He was born on July 20, 1931, to the late William "Willie" and Alice Martin Conrad. He lived in Middletown his whole life and attended local schools. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Conrad in 1984; and two brothers, Cecil and Clem Conrad. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Delta Brewer Conrad; a son, Michael Conrad, and his wife, Maudie Cox Conrad; four grandchildren, Michael Jr., Chris, Timothy, and Megan Conrad, all of Trenton, Ohio; a brother, Charles Conrad of Ratcliff, Ky.; and a sister, Delora Fugate of Middletown, Ohio; and many nephews and nieces.

Joyce D. Davis
TRENTON -- Joyce Darlene Davis, 59, of Trenton, Ohio, died there Monday, Dec. 4, 2000. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Nov. 3, 1941, and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Davis was employed as a bar tender at Scottie's Tavern and was very active with loving her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Clint Spicer; and a brother, Gene Raymond Spicer. Among her survivors are her daughter, Lisa J. (Patrick) Maloney of Trenton; a son, Robert Lee Davis of Trenton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her mother, Jessie Spicer of Middletown; two sisters, Delores (Miles) Haddix of Middletown and Sherry Spicer of Massillon, Ohio; three brothers, Jimbo Spicer and Tony (Lisa) Spicer, both of Middletown, and Mark (Amy) Spicer of Germantown.

Michael D. Fields
Michael D. Fields, 49, of Middletown, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Hazard, Ky., on May 31, 1951, to Burchel and Lois (Farler) Fields. Mr. Fields had worked as a security guard at Allied Security for 15 years, retiring in 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Timothy "Tim" Fields. Survivors include a daughter, Shanna Marie Fields (Clinton) of Blanchester, Ohio; a son, Aaron Lee Fields of Middletown; a sister, Devonia Marie Coots (Jeff) of Hazard, Ky.; his companion of 17 years, Pam Miller of Middletown; and also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Lulu Mae Finley
Mrs. Lulu Mae "Lou" Finley, 86, of Middletown, passed away at 7:19 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Middletown Regional Hospital. Lou, as she was known by all, was a native of Dayton, Ohio, where she was born on May 30, 1914. She and her family had made Middletown their home since 1950. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Middletown and was involved in several service activities including the Lions Auxiliary, Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. She was also an avid bridge player and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. Lou felt blessed with many close friendships throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Finley in 1995. Survivors include a son, James M. Finley of Middletown; a daughter, Patricia Roadruck of Manitou Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; and a niece, Sandra Finley of Dayton.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the First United Methodist Church, Broad and Second Streets in Middletown.
