Joshua Donald Takacs
STOW -- Joshua Donald Takacs died Feb. 19, 1998. Infant son of Don and Sandy (Kieffer) Takacs, he is also survived by his grandparents, Richard and Judy Kieffer, and Joe and Nettie Takacs; aunt and uncle, Jenny and Jon Gerckens. Services and interment will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, 11 a.m., at Stow Cemetery. ``For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your way.'' (Redmon, Stow, 688-6631.)

Sally Taylor
W. VIRGINIA -- Sally Taylor passed away Feb. 19, 1998, in Logan, W. Va., where she had made her home the past year. Born in W. Virginia in 1904, she was formerly of Norton and Kenmore. Preceded in death by her husband, Lester and son, John, surviving are her son, Jim (Betty) Taylor of Red Springs, N.C.; daughters, Linda (Scott) Ellis of Logan, W. Va., Jean (Stanley) Sobleskie of Akron; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, with funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday at the James Funeral Home in Logan, W. Va., Rev. McClung officiating. Burial at Forestlawn Cemetery.

Eleanor M. Thomas
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Eleanor M. Thomas, 82, passed away Feb. 18, 1998. An area resident since 1965, she retired from Children's Hospital Medical Center in 1981. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Ernie Arnold of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Flora Roper of East Brady, Pa.; brother, Henry Jordan of Grove City, Pa. She had five grandchildren, Karen Casteel, the late Laura Lee, Tom Dormo, Guy Arnold, and Jeff Arnold; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home, on Third Street, one block north of Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Rev. John Callahan, Jr. officiating. Private interment at Sligo Cemetery in Sligo, Pa. (McGowan-Reid & Santos, 928-1313.)

Marta Tuccillo
Marta Tuccillo, 100, of Akron, died Feb. 25, 1998, at Rockynol. Born in Minturno, Italy, Marta was a resident of Akron since 1937. She was a member of St. Hilary Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore; and daughter, Mary Triola, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Civita and Henry Noethen; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Sandra Tuccillo, and John and Marie Tuccillo, all of Akron; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Larry Triola of Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 11 a.m., at St. Hilary Church. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. No visitation. Roy Lee Tucker
Roy Lee Tucker, 92, of the City of Green, formerly of Blue Ridge, Ga., passed away Feb. 20, 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ola; wife, Gertrude; daughter, Victoria; and great-grandson, Chad, as well as six brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Frances (Louis) Ostner; son, Bob (Louise) Tucker; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. There will be no services in Akron; services will take place in Georgia. (Schermesser, City of Green Chapel, 724-9351.)

Martha M. Turnmire
Martha M. Turnmire, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 26, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Shell Creek, Tenn., she lived in the Akron area most of her life, and was a member of Millheim Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John; son, David of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Kevin Parsons of Stow; grandchildren, John and Leah Turnmire, Matthew, Brandon, Lisa and Sarah Parsons; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Pansy Hayes of Akron; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith and Amos Watson of Akron, Bonnie and Ode Hollar, and Hazel and Walt Lee, all of Lenoir, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, with Rev. Kim Lawrence officiating. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Ruth I. Valentine, 85, of Akron, passed away Feb. 16, 1998. Services Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Hillsdale Memorial Park Chapel, 1025 Canton Rd., Pastor William E. Norman officiating. Jess A. Vannatter, 70, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998. Michael P. Vegh
Michael P. Vegh, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998. He was born in Akron, and retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. in 1973 with 41 1/2 years service. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Firestone County Club. He was an avid golfer and was a spotter for the World Series of Golf for many years. Mr. Vegh is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael P. and Clara of Akron; daughter, Delores Zinsmayer of Stow; sisters, Theresa Chudick of Florida, Vera Thomas of Akron; sisters-in-law, Veronica Farley of California, Margaret (Dr. William) Sokol of California; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home; and at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
