RIPLEY, OHIO - John R. "Pete" Dragoo, 84, of Ripley, Ohio, died Thursday, Jan.5, 2006 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley. He was a farmer and a World War ll US Army veteran. He was also a professional photographer in his younger years. Mr. Dragoo was born on July 12, 1921 on the family farm in Brown County, Ohio., the son of the late Clarence Day and Bertha Ann (Johnson) Dragoo. Mr. Dragoo is survived by one brother, Bill DRagoo of Ripley; two nieces, Betty Campbell and husband Bob of Ripley; Judy Young and husband Rick of Sardinia, Ohio; one nephew, Bill Dragoo, Jr. and wife Ann of Ripley; three great nephews, one great niece and three great nieces. He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Day (Bob) Dragoo, Jr., one sister-in-law, Lois J. Dragoo and a great nephew, Greg Bradford.

GEORGETOWN, Ohio - Charles Earl Kidwell, 92, of Georgetown, Ohio, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Kidwell was a farmer and a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ and the Farm Bureau. He was born on Nov. 19, 1913, in Lewis County, the son of the late Ashel Barber and Rosa (Stamm) Kidwell.
