MRS. DUNKIN

WEST UNION, Ohio - Mrs. Bessie Irma Dunkin, 64, of West Union, died Sunday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Dunkin.

Services 1 p.m. Wednesday at West Union Church of Christ. Burial in Moore's Chapel Cemetery, Blue Creek.

Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. today at Lafferty Funeral Home and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church.

MR. HOOP

SEAMAN, Ohio - Eddie Hoop, 50, of Seaman, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at his residence.

He was born in Adams County on June 16, 1952, the son of Oscar Sherwood and Nellie Tolle Hoop.

Eddie was co-owner and parts manager of Baxla Tractor Sales, Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, member of the Seaman United Methodist Church, and board member of the Seaman Street Fair.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Hoop.

Surviving are his wife, Valerie Baxla Hoop; father, Sherwood Hoop of Seaman; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jared and Heather Hoop of Winchester, and Jeremy Hoop of Seaman; two daughters, Keri and Kristi Hoop, both of Seaman; one grandson, Hunter Hoop; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Linda Hoop of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Richard Young of Seaman, Mary and Norman Woods of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at the Seaman United Methodist Church. Rev. Ken Johnson and Rev. Steve Zinger will officiate with burial following in the Mount Leigh Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.

MRS. COOPER

RIPLEY, Ohio - Mrs. Doris Deane Cooper, 79, of Ripley, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, at her residence on Ripley Day-Hill Road.

Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a member of the Aberdeen United Methodist Church.

She was born on Jan. 7, 1924, in Aberdeen, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Retta Greenlee Forbes. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Mack Forbes.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edwin "Buck" Cooper; two sons, Rodney Cooper of Sacramento, Calif. and Terry Cooper of Irvine, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Ripley. The Rev. Tim Gleason will officiate. Interment will be in Charter Oak Cemetery, Aberdeen.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley.

Memorials may be made to the Aberdeen United Methodist Church, 90 Main Cross Street, Aberdeen, Ohio 45101.

MR. CAMPBELL

RIPLEY, Ohio - Duane Campbell, 72, of Ripley, died Sunday, June 22, 2003, at the International Falls Memorial Hospital in International Falls, Minn., while returning home from a fishing trip, to Canada, with his family.

Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the United States Army and owner of Campbell's Frontier Realty and Auction Service for more than 46 years. He was also a farmer and land developer. He was the emcee for the Ohio Tobacco Festival parade for 18 years, a member of American Legion Post No. 367, the Fraternal Order of the Masons and the Shriners. Mr. Campbell liked antique cars and was an avid sportsman.

He was born on July 1, 1930, in Mason County, the son of the late Dennis and Mabel (Bryant) Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Caryl (Wilson) Campbell; and one sister, Wanda Allen.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Norma Campbell of Ripley; two sons, David and Ray Campbell, both of Ripley; two granddaughters, Baylie Campbell of Englewood, Fla. and Sarah Campbell of Ripley; one sister, Norma French of Ripley; and one brother, Paul Campbell of Winchester, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held in Red Oak Cemetery on Thursday, June 26, 2003, at 11 a.m. Rev. Eldon Howard will officiate.

Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2003, at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.

MR. KEPP

WEST UNION, Ohio - Edward Kepp, 90, of Stout, died Monday [June 23, 2003] at Adams County Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Delores Kepp.

Services 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lafferty Funeral Home. Burial in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

MRS. MILLER

WEST UNION, Ohio - Mrs. Dortha Ruth Miller, 68, of West Union, died Thursday [Aug. 7, 2003] at Eagle Creek Nursing Center in West Union.

Services 1 p.m. Monday at Satterfield's Chapel Christian Union near West Union. Burial in West Union Cemetery.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union.
