Frank Crane Jr.

Frank Crane, Jr., 86 years young, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Nov. 4th 2012.

Frank was born to Frank and Ida Mae Wobbe Crane in Holdenville on Oct. 11th, 1926.

Funeral services for Frank will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Frase officiating. Interment will follow at the Holdenville Cemetery.

Frank married Georgia Belle Kirkpatrick on Jan. 4, 1948 in Holdenville at the Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church. He had dreamed of this day since he had first seen Georgia in the 4th grade at Central school.

His wife Georgia preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 2009. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage and life together.

His favorite hobbies were playing bridge with his favorite partner Georgia. He loved reading, collecting books, coin collecting, watching movies and sports.

He was very political and a devout member of the Democratic Party.

Frank enjoyed living in Holdenville for his entire life.

He had many accomplishments. He was an Eagle Scout in 1942, played on the Holdenville High School Basketball 1941 - 1944 (on 1942 State Championship team), played football for HHS.

He graduated High School in 1944.

During WWII he was in the U.S. Navy 1944 – 1945. He attended Marion Military Institution of Marion, Alabama, in preparation for entering West Point.

Frank also attended the University of Oklahoma 1946.

He graduated from the Kansas City School of Watch making in 1948. He operated and owned the Frank Crane Jewelry from 1948 until 1984.

He worked as a carrier clerk for the U. S. Postal Service from 1966 until he retired in 1998.

Frank was an active member of United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher and youth Advisor.

He was the Cub Master of Cub Scouts for three years. He coached Little League Baseball and Football for several years.

Frank was a charter Member of the Elks Club and was Exalted Ruler for three years and worked as the Secretary of the Elks club for seven years.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Crane Sr. in 1955 and Ida Mae Wobbe Crane in 1992; a sister, Norma Jeanne Hilton in 2012; a daughter, Susan Crane in 1949.

Frank is survived by his son, Roy Frank Crane and his wife, Denise of Seminole; his daughter, Karen Ruth Crane of Norman; his nephew, Michael Allen Kirkpatrick and his wife, Kathy of Eufaula; his niece, Mary Margaret (Peggy) Kirkpatrick of Little Rock Arkansas; his niece, Georgia Susan Glass and her husband, Mike of San Marcos, California; his niece, Patricia Frase and husband, Tom Frase of Little Rock, Arkansas; his nephew, Jeffrey Lynn Hilton and his wife, Joyce of Lascassas, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.

Dale Crawford

Dale Autry Crawford, age 68, former resident of Seminole County and current resident of Broken Bow, died on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Solara Hospital in Shawnee.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Konawa. Rev. Mona Fulks will officiate.

Cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.

Dale was born June 7, 1943 in Wright City, Oklahoma to Lee H. Crawford and Beatrice Laverne (Sims) Crawford.

He married Shirley Lollis on Nov. 26, 1962 in Brownfield, Texas.

Dale spent his early years bull riding and was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion two years in a row.

He also was in the Civil Air Patrol where he searched for downed airplanes.

Dale was a long distance truck driver for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Crawford of the home; three daughters, Shirley L. Crawford of Broken Bow, Sharon Crawford Denton of Konawa and Debra Cooper, also of Konawa; one adopted son, Tim E. Bridgement, II; three sisters, Earlene Gladwell of Belen, New Mexico, Darlene Elliott of Los Lunas, New Mexico, and Lucille Crosby, also of New Mexico; two brothers, Lloyd "Spyder" Crawford of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Arley Crawford of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee H. Crawford and Beatrice Crawford; one son, Dale Autry Crawford, Jr.; one daughter, Wanda Lee Ann Quintrell; one sister, Marzell Martin; and two brothers, Lee H. Crawford, Jr. and Manuel Crawford.

Mary Cruz

Mary Karlena Cruz, 62, Shawnee resident, died Tuesday, Jan 31, 2012 at her home in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Mary was born Jan 22, 1950 in Oklahoma City, to Mirl Avery and Mamie Edith (Perkins) Jones.

Mary was a retail manager at Icings by Claires.

Mary is survived by her mother Mamie Edith Jones of Oklahoma City, one son Joe M. Cruz of Henderson, Texas; three daughters Karlena Blakley of Shawnee, Cristin Cruz of McKinney, Texas and Jessica Cruz of Shawnee. She is also survived by four brothers Gary Cloke of Meeker, Daniel Ray of Oklahoma City, Rick Spriggs of Nesbitt, Mississippi and Jim McClain of Rollenoak, Texas, three sisters Mirllene Humbert of Oklahoma City, Chonna Denton of Tulsa, and Francine Bond of Oklahoma City, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Mirl Jones and grandson Robert L. Annanders.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, Feb 3, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Prairie View Cemetery near Macomb, Oklahoma.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Irene Cullison

Irene Norma Earline Cullison (Spillman), of Napa, died in her home on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

She was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Seminole to Pearl Juanita Cullison and Rudolph Buster Cullison.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her brothers, Jerry and John and her sister, Linda.

She is survived by her three children, Rudolph Arthur Spillman of Clearlake, Calif., Grace Juanita Spillman of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Dwayne Eugene Spillman of Fort Bragg, N.C. and six grandchildren.

There will be no service, other than a spreading of ashes by immediate friends and family.

Marie Cunningham

Wewoka resident Marie Antonia Cunningham, died Tuesday, Jan 10th, 2012 at her resident in Wewoka, at the age of 68 years.

She was born in Little Rock, AR, Feb 6, 1943 to John and Louise (Ghetti) Segalla.

She was a graduate of Biglow High School.

She married Alvin Eugene Cunningham, Sept 7, 1963 in Little Italy, AR.

Marie was a homemaker.

Preceding Marie in death are her parents, and husband.

Survivors include children, Gina Clair, of Ellinwood, KS, Vicky Coscia, of Tecumseh and Alvin Cunningham Jr. of Wewoka; six grandchildren; brother, John Segalla Jr; and sister Eda Segalla, both of Little Italy, AR.

Pall Bearers will be Matt Wade, Isaacs Harrison, Joe Coscia, Cody Clair, Blaine Cunningham, Kevin Clair, and Cason Cunningham.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday Jan 12, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating and interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Marie Cunningham

Wewoka resident Marie Antonia Cunningham, passed away Tuesday, Jan 10th, 2012 at her resident in Wewoka at the age of 68 years.

Born in Little Rock, AR, Feb 6, 1943 to John and Louise (Ghetti) Segalla.

She was a graduate of Biglow High School.

She married Alvin Eugene Cunningham, Sept 7, 1963 in Little Italy, AR, he preceded her in death Oct 14, 2001.

Marie was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children, grandchildren, and her dogs.

Preceding Marie in death are her parents, and husband.

Survivors include children, Gina Clair, and husband Kevin of Ellinwood, KS, Vicky Coscia of Tecumseh, and Alvin Cunningham Jr. of Wewoka.

Grandchildren, Joe Coscia, Cody Clair, Mariah Coscia, Meagan Coscia, Blaine Cunningham, and Cason Cunningham; brother, John Segalla Jr and sister Eda Segalla, both of Little Italy, AR.

Pall Bearers will be Matt Wade, Isaacs Harrison, Joe Coscia, Cody Clair, Blaine Cunningham, Kevin Clair and Cason Cunningham.

Ordell Cupp

Memorial services for Ordell Jack Cupp, 89, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at the University Baptist Church of Shawnee with Michael Ladd Copeland (grandson-in-law) officiating.

The son of the late Hubert Raymond Cupp and Karthrine Helen (Bolerjack) Cupp, Jack was born on June 15, 1923 in Kendrick, Oklahoma and passed away on Nov. 12, 2012 at the Mercy Memorial Health Center of Ardmore.

Jack served his country in the United States Army under General Patton while fighting at the Battle of the Bulge, serving from 1942-1945 and receiving an honorable discharge.

Jack grew up in Kendrick and graduated from Kendrick High School and later attended Oklahoma Baptist University.

He and the former Wilma Frances Ginn were married Dec. 24, 1948 in Chandler.

Jack had lived in Shawnee for 57 years, having been an Ardmore resident for the past five years.

He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas and worked as a mortician and funeral director with Parks Funeral Home in Okemah 1947-1950 and later in life assisting other funeral homes.

Jack was retired from the Shawnee Post Office where he worked as a rural letter carrier and clerk from 1951-1988.

In 1988 Jack worked with Central Plastics until 1994.

His hobbies included farming.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; children, John Raymond Cupp of Seminole, Jacqueline Marie Jones of Ardmore and Jeffrey Jay Cupp of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Franci Kay Pittman, Jeani May Copeland, Trevor John Cupp, Cayton Warren Jones, Rachel Marie Jones, Ellie Frances Jones, Katie Jaye Cupp, Barak Trubey Cupp, Brody Gable Cupp, great-grandchildren, Reese Nehemiah Copeland, Kai Walter Copeland, Madeline Lorene Jones and Grant Ginn Pittman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roscoe Cupp, Gene Elgin Cupp and June Cupp.
