Connie Reich

WEWOKA - Graveside services for Connie Leta Reich, 42, daughter of Wewoka residents Roy and Oleta Clark, have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Lone Dove Cemetery.

Reich died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

She was born on Dec. 6, 1954, in Anadarko.

She was preceded in death by a brother, David Houston Clark in October of 1996.

Reich is survived by her parents of Wewoka, daughters, Tina Rene Reich of Sasakwa and Tanya Lee Igart of Ft. Gibson; brother Roy Dale Clark of Bakersfield, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Roland Reschke

WEWOKA ¾ Funeral services for Roland Robert Reschke, 74, were scheduled for today at Stout Funeral Chapel.

Pastor Doyle Gadberry and Rev. Sam Johnson officiated. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Reschke died Saturday.

He was born July 8, 1922, in Madison, Wis. He was raised in Milwaukee before moving to Oklahoma in 1962.

He served in the U.S. Navy and later retired from Tinker Air Force Base.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha Reschke.

He married Ruth Jane Harjo on April 19, 1963, in Seminole; she survives him, of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Editha G. Dority, Wewoka, and Debra A. Baker, Oklahoma City; one son, Wendell K. Reschke, Seminole; and one grandson.

Pallbearers included Ronald K., Eddie, Mark and Chuck J. Johnson, Darell J. Baker and Herbert "Hap" Harjo.

Eldon Rodgers

Eldon Dean Rodgers, 56, former Seminole resident, died Friday in an Oklahoma City Hospital.

Services are pending with Swearingen Funeral Home.

Kenneth Roebuck

SHAWNEE ¾ Graveside funeral services for former Seminole County resident Kenneth Gordon Roebuck, 74, were scheduled for this afternoon at Little Cemetery.

Chaplain Raymond Jones officiated. Burial was under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Roebuck died Saturday in a Shawnee nursing home.

He was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Pawhuska to Bessie (Tripp) and Marion Roebuck. He lived in Seminole County before World War II, when he served with the 533rd Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment.

During World War II, he earned a Good Conduct medal, American Defense Service ribbon, and a Philippine Liberation ribbon with one Bronze Star.

During the Korean War, he won medals including the Korean Service medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, Merit Unit Citation and an assignment with the 10th Special Service Company.

He was a life member of the VFW and the DAV; he retired after 20 years with the U.S. Army.

He married Julia Newberry in 1974; she survives him of the home.

Other survivors include eight children, 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Sandra Sands

Sandra Annette Sands, 34, was killed in a car wreck on Monday at Konawa.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Prairie Springs Baptist Church in Castle. Joe Smith will officiate. Burial will take place at Sands Family Cemetery in Castle under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.

A wake will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Sands was born Oct. 28, l962 at Claremore to Lemley and Lena (Hicks) Sands.

She was a nurse’s aide and a member of Prairie Springs Baptist Church. She had resided in Konawa the past year. Prior to that she was a resident of Okemah.

She is preceded in death by her father; one brother, Tommy Sands, and one sister, Rita Sands.

Survivors include her mother, two sons, James Nuttle and Matthew Nuttle, both of the home; one daughter, Shannon Nuttle of the home; three brothers, Ronnie Sands of Ft. Gibson; Rickey Sands and Bobby Sands of Pennsylvania; one sister, Stacy Scott of Okemah; a half-brother, Robert Sands of Seattle; two half-sisters, Sandra Greenrock of Okemah and Linda Sands of Shawnee.

Members of Prairie Springs Baptist Church will serve as pall bearers.

Bonnie Seigel

TULSA - Memorial services for Bonnie Seigel, 70, former Seminole County resident, are set for 6:30 p.m. Sunday at All Souls Unitarian Church on S. Peoria in Tulsa.

She was born in Seminole County in Dec. 1927 to Callie and Ruth Hall. She died April 1 in Tampa, Fla.

She entered St. John’s School of Nursing in Tulsa in 1945 and graduated in 1948 with honors.

She served as Dr. Otis Lee’s surgical nurse at St. John’s Hospital for many years. She joined the Tulsa County Health Department as a public health nurse in 1971 and worked with the Health Department’s Communicable Disease Unit.

She was a charter member of the Tulsa County Bar Auxiliary and served as president of that organization for 1964-65.

She was instrumental in founding the Tulsa’s Juvenile Detention Center which was built in 1969. She was given the distinction of being the first Honorary Lifetime Chairman of the center.

Another of her volunteer efforts was the Tulsa Boys Home, where she spent many working hours.

She is survived by one son, Steven B. Seigel, Valricox, Fla., and one daughter, Deborah K. Seigel, Catoosa, and three grandchildren.

Agnes Shackelford

Funeral services for Agnes E. Shackelford, 88, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Gleaners Church in Wewoka.

Larry Chesser will officiate, and burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Shackelford died Tuesday.

She was born April 25, 1909 in Arkansas, and she married Clarence Shackelford in 1924. He preceded her in death in 1984.

She was the postmaster in Bearden for 28 years before retiring.

Survivors include three sons, Bill Shackelford of Sand Springs, Bob Shackelford of Wewoka, and Melvin Shackelford of Midwest City; one daughter, Lorene Scheirmann of Ft. Lauderdale; one sister, Marie Robbins of Moore; one brother, Elbert Anderson of Okemah, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lori Lee Windle Shattuck

Graveside services were scheduled this morning at Vamoose Cenetery for Lori Lee Windle Shattuck, 39, a long time area resident.

Her uncle, O. D. Ramey officiated. Interment was under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.

Shattuck died Wednesday at the Wilshire Nursing Home in Oklahoma City.

She was born May 28, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to Louis G. Windle and Mary Jo Vance Windle.

Shattuck moved to Okla. when she was 12 years old and completed high school and two years of college here. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Jo Tuttle, Oklahoma City and one sister, LuAnn Tuttle, Edmond.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Huntington’s research.

Epoe Shuler

EDMOND - Funeral services for Epoe Harley Shuler, 82, father of Seminole resident William H. Schuler, are pending with Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond.

White died Monday in Edmond.

He was born on April 2, 1943, in Downey, Calif., to Sam White and Maxine McConnell.

White moved to Hominy at an early age, where he grew up and attended school. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam war, then moved from Oklahoma to Natoma, Kan., before moving to Russel. He worked for Koch Industries for many years and was currently a pipeline inspector.

He married Diane Marie Kraus in Hominy on Oct. 30, 1965. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, both of Russell.

White was preceded in death by his father and son, Chad White.

He is survived by his wife of the home; sons, Kevin White, Brad White and Charles White, all of Russell; daughter, Cristine White of Russell; sister, Barbara Hansen of Seminole; half-sisters, Kathy White and Karen Owens, both of Sonoma, Calif.; step-sister, Reba Yeksavick of Tulsa; mother and step-father, Maxine and Lee Myers of Seminole; step-mother, Dorothy White of Sonoma, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
