Lizzie Factor

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Lizzie Factor were held Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003 at the Many Springs Indian Baptist Church.

Revs. Jimmy Anderson and Malcolm Tiger officiated.

Interment followed at the Factor family cemetery, under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.

Factor died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003 in Shawnee at the age of 89.

She was born to Bunny and Nellie "Wallow" McCosar in Hughes County on May 25, 1914.

Factor was raised in the Bilby area south of Holdenville and attended Bilby School.

She married Chester Factor in 1937 and the couple lived in the Wewoka area for over 47 years.

Factor enjoyed making quilts, cooking for others and listening to gospel music.

She is survived by six children, David Leon Factor, Buckner Factor and Yvonne Jim, all of Wewoka, James Andrew (Saylor) Factor, Oklahoma City, Max Factor, Muskogee, and Ruth Walker, Tecumseh; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Louis Factor, Jr.

Funeral Services for Sasakwa resident Louis Factor, Jr., 61, will be held Monday, May 19, 2003, at 2:00 P.M., at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, with Reverends Frank Moppin and Billy Joe Harjo officiating.

Factor died in Noble, Oklahoma on Friday, May 16, 2003.

A wake service is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2003, at 6:30 P.M., at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, Wewoka, Oklahoma.

He was born November 14, 1942, in Sasakwa, to Mattie Lou (Bruner) Factor and Louis Factor.

He attended Spring Baptist Church and was baptized there by the late Reverend George Jesse.

He grew up in Sasakwa and graduated from Sasakwa High School; then he attended the Haskell Institute. e worked in the oilfield, and later was City Supervisor for the City of Weleetka, retiring from that position in 1996.

He married and is survived by Elizabeth Hayes Factor, of the home.

Gwen Factor, Okemah and Lou Ann Factor, Hugo; two step-children, Angie Harper, Noble and Glen Karamer, Henryetta; one sister, Ida Goettsche, Amarillo, Texas; three brothers, Larry Factor, Edmond, Jimmy Factor, Cromwell, and Ron Factor, Shawnee; one aunt, Alice Stevens of Tulsa, seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Factor in 1988; and his grandparents, Charlie and Lucinda Factor.

Pallbearers will be Tony Roulston, Hirum Roulston, Johnny Johnston, Matthew Sand, Nicholas Harper and Nathan Harper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Harjo and Glen Karamer.

Interment will be in the Factor Family Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Patrick Factor

Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Patrick Wayne Factor are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Little River Baptist Church of Wewoka.

The body will be taken to the home Monday afternoon at 5 p.m. for services there at 7 p.m.

Interment will follow at the Davis Cemetery, south east of Sasakwa, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Factor died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at the age of 24.

He was born in Stillwater on June 26, 1979, to Timmy Factor Jr. and Flora Factor.

He was a Seminole Nation/BIA firefighter and a member of the Little River Baptist Church.

Factor was baptized at the Spring Baptist Church at the age of nine.

He attended school in Seminole and Varnum.

He is survived by his father, Timmy Factor Jr. of Shawnee; mother, Flora Factor of Wewoka, two sons, Adrian Gene Factor and Dakota Wayne Factor, both of Shawnee; four half-sisters, Susan Gray and; Sherry Tolliver, both of Jefferson City, Tenn., and Susie Factor and Holly Factor, both of Shawnee; as well as a host of other relatives.

Jimmie Earl Fairman

Funeral services for Seminole resident Jimmie Earl Fairman are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Fairman died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003 at his home in Seminole at the age of 61.

He was born to Earl Franklin Fairman and Doris (Gamble) Fairman on April 18, 1942 in Tishomingo.

Fairman had lived in Seminole for 15 years moving here from Tishomingo.

He worked in the paint and auto body repair field, and worked for T.J. Campbell Construction out of Oklahoma City.

Fairman was preceded in death by his father; and both sets of grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Fairman; his wife, Theressa Fairman, of the home; one son, Jimmie Earl Fairman, Jr., Oklahoma City; three daughters, Barbara Jean of Florida, Patricia Anderson, Oklahoma City, and Christine Rowe of Ohio; one step-daughter, Nattie Marie Brown of Ohio; one sister, Ginger Holt, Cromwell; and 15 grandchildren.

Charles Fidler

Funeral services for lifelong Konawa resident Charles Evans Fidler were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Assembly of God Church in Konawa.

Rev. Don Newby and Rev. Mitch Williams were set to officiate.

Burial was to follow at Konawa City Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Fidler died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003 at Valley View Regional Hospital at the age of 86.

He was born Nov. 13, 1916 in Konawa to John Evans and Carrie Francis (Doner) Fidler.

He married Emma Dale Bolton on Jan. 28, 1935 in Tecumseh.

The couple owned and operated Fidler Orchard since 1956.

He was a member of the Nazarene Church and the Coon Hunter’s Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; three brothers and a great-grandson.

Fidler is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Jarrett E. Fidler of Konawa; one daughter, Sharon D. Hogue of Konawa; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Wells of Tulsa.

Casket bearers are Tracy Fidler, Tony Fidler, Terry Fidler, Steve Newby, Landon Littell, and Leighton Littell.

Honorary bearers are Vernon Isaacs, Ray Starkey, and Leroy Stokes.

Martha Naomi Filson

Services for longtime Seminole County resident, Martha Naomi Filson from Wewoka are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at the Church of Christ in Wewoka.

She died July 18.2003, at the age of 79 in the Unity Health Center, Shawnee.

She was born Jan. 12, 1924 in Madill to Lena London Hart and James D. Hart, Sr. DDS, both preceding her in death.

She was the youngest of 10 children and moved to Wewoka at the age of three.

She attended Wewoka Schools, graduated in 1942 and attended East Central University.

She was a Southwestern Bell Telephone operator and operated her own beauty shop, the Studio 9 from 1965 -1980.

She married Roy Joe Filson on June 25, 1948, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Wewoka Church of Christ, active in Garden Clubs, church singing, wedding and funerals.

She was a loving active wife, mother and homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry and Tommy Claybrook of Shawnee, and Debbie and David Shapiro of Palm Desert, Calif. one son, Mike and Cindy Filson of Ponca City; one sister, Evelyn Hart Burrow of Stillwater; four brothers, Dr. James Hart of Wewoka, Allwyn Hart of Searcy, Ark., George Hart of Knoxville, Tenn. and Harold 'Red’ Hart of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Kim and Mark Claybrook Collier, Kelly Claybrook, Shannon and Bill Girssom, Lori and Matt Morgan, Susan and Brad Keirn and Chris, Kyle and Clint Filson; great grandchildren, Amber, Katelyn and Courtney Grissom, Madeline and Catherine Claybrook Collier; and expected great grandson baby boy Keirn; as well as numerous other family and friends.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

Lorene Fish

Funeral services for Seminole resident Lorene "Joan" Fish are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Resthaven Memorial Park Chapel in Shawnee.

A short reception will follow at the Resthaven Memorial ParkChapel.

Fish died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 in El Paso, Texas after a lengthy illness.

She was born Lila Lorene Madden on July 2, 1916 in Bellville, Ark., but was raised in Holdenville.

She married Clarence Fish, a field foreman for Sinclair Oil Company in 1938.

After eight years in Venezuala, Mr. and Mrs. Fish settled in Bowlegs with their only child, Charles Roger Fish.

Clarence preceded Lorene in death in 1989.

Fish was a permanent fixture in Seminole, working at Shuler’s Rexall Drug, then at Central Drug for years.

She knew virtually everyone in the area and had many friends.

After retiring, Fish maintained her connections with the people of Seminole and was more or less a career juror, serving on many court cases.

She is survived by her son, Charles, El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Pauline Wagner and Lucille Kibby, both of Holdenville; and two grandchildren.

Honorary casket bearers will be Buck Buchanan, Phil Biddy, Rex Kibby, Chuck Kibby, Richard Fish, and Robert Fish.
