MERRIL MCMULLEN
Services were held for Merril "Mickey" McMullen, 81, who died Oct. 7 in his residence on Kauffman Road, Oley Township. His wife, Gloria (Bilski) McMullen, died in 1975. Born in Reading, he was a 20-year veteran of the Air Force. McMullen was employed for 16 years by Pennsylvania Optical Co., retiring in 1978. He is survived by two brothers and a friend, Doris (Haus) Bertolet, with whom he resided. The arrangements were handled by the Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home Inc., Reading.

RONALD F. MOYER
Private graveside services were held for Ronald F. Moyer, 90, of Fry Road, Ruscombmanor Township, who died Oct. 6 in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading, where he had resided since August. He was the husband of Esther M. (Bryan) Moyer. Born in Shamokin, Moyer was employed for 22 years as a state auditor, retiring in 1985. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Moyer is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The arrangements were handled by the Daniel R. Christ Funeral Home, Oley.

KATHRYN N. REIGNER
Services were held for Kathryn N. "Kas" (Garber) Reigner, 78, of North Walnut Street, Boyertown, who died Oct. 7 at the Frederick Mennonite Community, Upper Frederick, where she had been a patient since Sept. Born in Amity Township, she graduated with the class of 1939 from the former Amity High School. She was the widow of Walter M. Reigner, who died in 1982. Reigner was employed as a secretary-treasurer at the C. S. Garber & Sons Well Drilling, Boyertown, for 41 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Boyertown. She is survived by her companion of more than 14 years, Lester "Pat" Rohrbach, with whom she resided. Reigner was predeceased by a sister, Martha V. (Garber) Arnold, and two brothers, Russell E. Garber Sr., and Claude W. Garber. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 35 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512, or to the American Cancer Society, Berks County Unit, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. The arrangements were handled by the L. W. Ott Funeral Home Inc., Boyertown.

GERTRUDE W. FREY
Private burial will be held for Gertrude W. (Schonely) Frey, 91, widow of Frederick E. Frey, formerly of Boyertown and Pottstown, who died Oct. 7 at Sanatoga Center, Lower Pottsgrove. Born in Oley, she was employed for many years at the former Arrow Camera Shop, Pottstown, which was previously owned by her late husband. Frey was a member of Limerick Chapel, where she taught children’s Bible classes and Sunday school in various locations, including Bible classes called "Kiddie’s Treat" in her home, which were well attended by area children. She is survived by a son, Donald F. Frey, Elverson; one daughter, Lucille M., widow of James Bates, of Pottstown; one sister; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Frey is predeceased by five brothers. A viewing will be from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Limerick Chapel. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. at Limerick Chapel, 378 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick. Dr. Daniel Peters and the Rev. David Jones will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Mission Fund in care of Limerick Chapel, 378 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The arrangements were handled by the Houck Funeral Home Inc., Pottstown.

ROBERT C. PUSCH
Services were held for Robert C. Pusch, 82, husband of Ardith L. (Mauger) Pusch of North Coventry, who died Oct. 6 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, where he was a patient. Born in Boyertown, he was a truck driver for 25 years with the former Mrs. Smith’s Pie Co., Pottstown, retiring in 1983. He was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Pottstown. Surviving with his widow are a son, Gerald L. Pusch, and a brother, Curtis Pusch, both of North Coventry; four sisters, Anna, wife of Stanley George, Kutztown; Martha Nester, Pottstown; Christina, wife of Harris Bickhart, Spring City, Barbara, wife of Horace Gauger, Gilbertsville; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son, and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of First Church of the Brethren, 371 N. York St., Pottstown, PA 19464. The arrangements were handled by the Schumacher and Benner Funeral Home, Pottstown.

CHARLOTTE POTKONSKI
A Memorial service will be held for Charlotte R. (Reilley) Potkonski, 87, widow of Leapold A. Potkonski, M.D., who died Oct. 9 at the Frederick Mennonite Community, where she had resided. She was a former resident of Pottstown and was born in Philadelphia. Surviving are two daughters, Charlotte A. Potkonski of Landisville and Louise, widow of J. Robert Petro of Gilbertsville. Also one brother; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Robert Moses National Penn Bank, 1830 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464. The arrangements are being handled by the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Pottstown.

KARL B. STAUFFER
Services were held for Karl B. "Milky" Stauffer, 86, of West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, who died Sept. 25 at his residence. Born in Berks County, he was a graduate of Boyertown High School. Stauffer was employed as a foreman by the former Morysville Body Works, and later worked as a carpenter for Jake Scholl for many years. He was a member of the Pike Township Sportsmen’s Association. Stauffer is survived by a son, Karl H. Stauffer, of Gilbertsville; three sisters, Naomi, widow of Gerald Hospador, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Myrtle, widow of Clarence Herb, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Mildred, wife of George Irey, Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Erma Updegrove. Memorial donations may be made to the Endowment Fund at the Good Shepherd Church of Christ, 35 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512, or to the Boyertown Lions Community Ambulance Building Fund, 2 E. 2nd St., Boyertown, PA 19512. The arrangements were handled by the L. W. Ott Funeral Home Inc., Boyertown.

DANIEL B. CHRISTMAN
Services were held for Daniel B. Christman, 84, of W. Philadelphia Ave., Oley Township, who died Sept. 26 in the Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient. He was the husband of Erna (Rohrbach) Christman. Born in Oley Township, Christman was employed for 43 years as a spray painter by General Battery Corp., Muhlenberg Township, until his retirement. He was a member of Frieden’s United Church of Christ, Oley. He was a life member of the Oley Fire Company. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a prisoner of war in Germany for two years. He is also survived by two brothers, Ralph B., Oley Township, and Allen B., Lower Alsace Township; and a sister, Mary B. (Christman) Haas, Pike Township. The arrangements were handled by the Daniel R. Christ Funeral Home, Oley.

ELSIE P. CROSBY
Services were held for Elsie P. Crosby, 67, of Crest Drive, Boyertown, a former resident of Pottstown, for 43 years, who died Sept. 27 in Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, where she had been a patient. She was the wife of Byron E. Crosby Sr. Born in Pottstown, she was a member of the Assembly of Christians, Boyertown. She is also survived by three sons: Byron E. Jr., Pottstown; Jonathan S., Stowe; and Daniel L., Branford, Conn. Other survivors include three daughters: Sharon D. (Crosby) Fagley, Pottstown; Deborah L. (Crosby) Karas, Birdsboro; and Susan J. (Crosby) Huxoll, Perkiomenville. Also surviving are a brother; three sisters; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The arrangements were handled by The Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home, Pottstown.

JUDITH ANN MEYERS
Services were held for Judith Ann (Houseknecht) Meyers, 47, wife of Robert L. Meyers, of Little Road, Perkiomenville, who died Sept. 26 as a result of an automobile accident in Upper Salford Township. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of Jacqueline (Herrlinger) Houseknecht, of Perkiomenville, and the late Donald Houseknecht. She was a 1970 graduate of Boyertown High School, and graduated from the Empire Beauty School, in Pottstown, as a licensed beautician in 1971. She was employed as a beautician by the Frederick Mennonite Community for the past six years, and was also self-employed as a "traveling clipper", performing beautician services for home bound people. An active member of the Limerick Chapel, in Limerick, she was a member of the church choir for many years. She was also a volunteer at the Chapel Christian Academy in Limerick for many years. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by five sons, Uriah D. Meyers, West Palm Beach, Fla., Aaron A. Meyers, Mark M. Meyers, Steven R. Meyers, and Michael G. D. Meyers, all of Perkiomenville; three sisters, Margaret Paul, of Maryland, Susan Wissinger, of Pottstown, and Vicki Romero, of Perkiomenville. Memorial donations may be made to the Limerick Chapel, 378 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468. The arrangements were handled by the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford.
