Donald O. Wilfong, 62, of Portersville died Thursday at the Medical Center of Beaver County in Brighton Township.
The Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home of Zelienople is making arrangements.

T. Norris ‘Norrie’ Miller
Friday, April 11, 2003
T. Norris “Norrie” Miller, 83, of 411 Brown Ave. died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home is completing arrangements.

Rodney G. Miller

Rodney G. Miller, 62, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., died March 31, 2003, at Shands Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fla.

A native of Harmony, he was the son of George L. and Jean D. Peffer Miller.

He lived in Nassau County, Fla., for the past 34 years and retired a tour foreman at Jefferson-Smurfit Corp. after 31 years. He also had been a tram driver at Amelia Island Plantation.

Mr. Miller attended the Springhill Baptist Church in Nassauville and was a four-year Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Kitty Miller, to whom he was married for nearly 40 years; four children, Rodney G. Miller Jr., Sherry Daniel and Chad T. Miller, all of Fernandina Beach, and Dana McMinn of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Carl E. Miller of Grove City; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at Springhill Baptist Church with his pastor, the Rev. Jackie Hayes, officiating. Burial with military honors was at the church Cemetery .

Marion R. Luxon

Marion R. Luxon, 87, of East Brady, formerly of Criswell in Perry Township, Armstrong County, died Thursday at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Dec. 24, 1915, in Butler, she was the daughter of John L. and Margaret J. Slater Smith.

She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of East Brady.

Surviving are a son, Dale L. Luxon of Plum; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece; and four nephews.

Her husband, Berte F. Luxon, whom she married April 5, 1937, died May 30, 1989. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.

LUXON - Friends of Marion R. Luxon, who died Thursday, April 10, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at CHARLES B. BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Russell, her church pastor, will officiate. Private burial will be at Bradys Bend Cemetery .

Dorothy M. ‘Dot’ Starr

Dorothy M. “Dot” Starr, 86, of Butler died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 1, 1916 in Butler, she was the daughter of Eva Philips and W. Marks Starr.

Affectionately known as “Dot” to family and friends, she was sweet, generous, caring and a courageous Christian woman who always became a favorite of those she cared for and those who took care of her.

Ms. Starr taught those around her responsibility, gentleness, tenacity and that it is good just to be yourself.

She will be greatly missed by her nephew, R. Lee Star and his wife, Carole of Golden Valley, Minn.; a niece, Mrs. John (Nancy) Germaine of Ashtabula, Ohio; a grandniece, Leah Beth Starr and Jason Sack; grandnephews Aron Starr and his wife Leah and John Michael Germaine; an aunt, Betty Starr of Butler; two great-grandnieces; a great-grandnephew; several cousins; good friends; and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul and Wilbur Starr.

STARR - Friends of Dorothy M. Starr, who died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Allen Moran and Rev. John M. Germaine officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 123 E. Diamond St., Butler PA 16001, where Starr was a lifelong member, or to Meals on Wheels, 218 E. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.

Dorothy C. Rumbarger

Dorothy C. Rumbarger, 84, formerly of 314 Oneida Valley Road, died Sunday at Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington.

Born June 10, 1918, in West Monterey, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Eli and Ila Seybert Relic.

A homemaker, she enjoyed baking.

Mrs. Rumbarger was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, and a lifetime member of the Christian Mothers of St. Paul's.

She also was a life member of the Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Rumbarger, whom she married May 7, 1936.

Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth Rumbarger of Hobe Sound, Fla., and Richard Rumbarger of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Marilyn) Ranttilla of Brookfield, Ohio, Carol Stiehler of Karns City and Mrs. Jerry (Kay) Stonebraker of Fenelton; four brothers, Wallace Seybert of Columbiana, Ohio, Ron Seybert of New Springfield, Ohio, Dick Seybert of Sligo and Lloyd Seybert of Greenup, Ky.; a half-brother, John Relic of Martinez, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, four sisters and three brothers.

RUMBARGER - Friends of Dorothy C. Rumbarger, who died Sunday, May 4, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery , Dutch Hill, R.R.1, Parker, Clarion County.

St. Pauls Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

George McMahon

George McMahon, 107, of Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople, formerly of Ellwood City, died Saturday at the center.

Born March 1, 1896, in Pittsburgh.

He had worked for Bell Telephone as a liaison between the William Penn Hotel and Bell Telephone.

Mr. McMahon was a member of the Dormont Presbyterian Church. He was a 65-year member of Masonic Lodge 45 and a member of the Scottish Rite and the Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed walking and feeding the birds.

He was married to the late Matilda McMahon, and then married Myrtle Keefer McMahon, who died in 1988.

Survivors include 15 nieces and nephews.

McMAHON - Friends of George McMahon, who died Saturday, May 3, 2003, will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. P.A. Harmon, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Allegheny Cemetery Pittsburgh.

Anthony A. Bozic

Anthony Aloysius Bozic, 86, of Middlesex Township died Sunday at Outlook Pointe Nursing Home, Saxonburg.

Born Feb. 12, 1917, in Yukon, Westmoreland County, he was the son of George and Theresa Bozic.

He had worked at Anvil Products for more than 15 years and retired in 1979.

During World War II, he served in the Army with Co. D, 162nd Infantry Regiment in New Guinea and the Southern Philippines. He was a member of the Mars VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Frenchko Bozic, whom he married on Aug. 11, 1945, in Curtisville; a daughter, Patricia Ann Smith of Gresham, Ore.; a grandson, Kirk Williams of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Violet Bozic.

He was preceded in death by four siblings.

BOZIC - Friends of Anthony Aloysius Bozic, who died Sunday, May 4, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME, Route 8 at 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. The funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Alexander Poshyvjlo officiating. Burial will be at Deer Creek Cemetery , Cheswick.

Anna H. Witting

Anna H. Witting, 95, formerly of Belmar, N.J., died Saturday at Country Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of the South Hills.

Born Sept. 20, 1907, in Hazelton, she was the daughter of John and Vincenta Bankowski Stankiewicz.

She is survived by a daughter, Eileen Dupre of Belmar, N.J.; a daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Witting, who died in 1944; a son; two sisters; two brothers; and two grandsons.

WITTING - A memorial Mass for Anna H. Witting, who died Saturday, May 3, 2003, will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 126 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park. Entombment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery , Peters Township, Washington County.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to have Masses recited in her memory.

Arrangements are being handled by BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, Evans City.
