Richard H. "Bud" Campbell

December 30, 1927 - July 20, 2005

Richard H. (Bud) Campbell, age 77 of Sunset Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. in U.P.M.C. Passavant Hospital.

Born December 30, 1927 in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late John R. Campbell and the late Ethel Kerns.

Mr. Campbell was the owner/operator of Transport Products. He was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church. He was a paratrooper with the U.S. Army during WWII and with the railroad engineer battalion during the Korean War. He is a member of the Butler Elks Club, a former president of the Kiwanis Club. He was and avid golfer, enjoyed skiing and biking. Mr. Campbell was also a Penn State Alumni graduating in 1954.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Peg) Jones Campbell whom he marriage on November 17, 1951, by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Cathy) McHugh of Wexford, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, one sister, Mrs. Lois Parsons of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, George Campbell of Falling Water, West Virginia and also by a number of nieces.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, July 21, 2005 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, July 22, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Chris Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Graveside military services will also be held.

Marian L. Nail

December 17, 1916 - July 19, 2005

Marian L. Nail, 88, of 10514 W. Palmeras Drive, Sun City, Ariz., died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at her daughter's home in Sun City.

Born in Butler, December 17, 1916, she was the daughter of John Gilbert and Jenny Grace Jordan Stevenson.

She retired from Motorola in Phoenix, Ariz., in 1981 after years of loyal service. She previously had worked at several different places including Bantam Industries in Butler from 1941 to 1944, the equipment sterilizing department of Butler Memorial Hospital, the Beaver 5&10 Cent store in Beaver, Rochester Community Hospital's equipment sterilizing department and Westinghouse in Beaver.

Mrs. Nail was a Methodist. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls and doing ceramics.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas G. Nail of Portersville and Robert L. Nail of New Brighton; three daughters, Nora J. Ertel of Sun City, Connie L. Turner of Phoenix and Pamela S. Nail of Yorktown, Va.; 22 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles B. Stevenson and family of Ocala, Fla., and Donald K. Stevenson and family of Butler; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Wilda Stevenson of Rochester and Mrs. Sue Stevenson of Phoenix. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband, Harold E. Nail, died Jan. 12, 1981.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Stevenson of Rochester and Earl J. Stevenson of Phoenix; three sisters, Mrs. John (Helen) Flemming of Port Charlotte, Fla., Mrs. Gilbert (Mildred) Friebert of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Howard (Ann) Eddie of Ocala; and a grandson, Richard "Ricky" Turner.

Friends of Marian L. Nail, who died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNEAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Reverend Sherry Cook, pastor of the Buffalo Charge of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at North Side Cemetery.

Helen W. Litschge

September 15, 1911 - July 19, 2005

Helen W. Litschge, age 93 of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, formerly of Butler died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 7:40 a.m. in Concordia Lutheran Care, Cabot, Pennsylvania.

Born September 15, 1911 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Peter Kukla and the late Anna Jenka.

Mrs. Litschge was a homemaker. She was a member of North Main Street Church of God.

Mrs. Litschge is survived by one son, Wayne Litschge of West Leechburg, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Joanne Litschge of Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Provan of Whitehall, Pennsylvania; one brother, James Kukla of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania; and by a numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Litschge was preceded in death by her husband, Bert J. Litschge who passed away on September 1, 1999.

A memorial service will be held at the North Main Street Church Of God on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Kenneth C. Hall, minister of visitation officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

Contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 615 North Pike Road, Cabot, Pennsylvania 16023.

Mary Elizabeth Wolfgong

November 17, 1912 - July 15, 2005

Mary Elizabeth Wolfgong, age 92 of St. John's Lutheran Care Center, Mars, Pennsylvania, formerly of Butler, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at 12:10 a.m. in St. John's Specialty Care Center.

Born November 17, 1912 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John Q. A. McDowell and the late Charlotte McCandless.

Mrs. Wolfgong was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Wolfgong was a former regent of the D.A.R., ALPA society and the Historical Society.

Mrs. Wolfgong is survived by one son, Samuel K. Wolfgong of West Chester, Pennsylvania; grandson, Alexander Bealles of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wolfgong was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Wolfgong who passed away on May 9, 1972, by her daughter, Mary Jo Bealles, one brother and one sister.

Sandra L. Klann

March 24, 1945 - July 15, 2005

Sandra L. Klann, age 60 of Pine Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2005 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 24, 1945 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Harry Cordell Buckham and Betty McQuistion Buckham.

Mrs. Klann was a homemaker. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Klann is survived by husband Bernhard (Bernie) Klann whom she marriage on September 9, 1966; by two sons, Thierry Klann of Alexandria, Virginia, Christian Klann of Butler, Pennsylvania, her mother, Mrs. Betty Buckham of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Harry Cordell (Corky) Buckham of Freeport, Pennsylvania, Terry Buckham of Toronto, Canada; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father Mrs. Klann was preceded in death by her son Scott B. Klann.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday July 17, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the First English Lutheran Church on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend James W. Dollhopf of the First English Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery, Butler, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers the family of Sandra L. Klann suggests donations to Community Care Connections, 104 Skyline Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.

Andrew Krauchuk, Jr.

February 14, 1925 - July 12, 2005

Andrew Krauchuk, Jr., age 80 of Alameda Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Remil Drive, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 3:45 a.m. in the Butler V A Medical Center.

Born February 14, 1925 in Lyndora, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Andrew Krauchuk, Sr. and the late Pauline Buchky.

Mr. Krauchuk, Jr. worked in labor department at Butler Armco retiring in 1977 after 29 years of service. He was a former member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WW II. Mr. Krauchuk was also a member of the Sons of Italy.

Mr. Krauchuk, Jr. is survived by his wife, Esther Mary (Mitchell) Krauchuk, by two daughters, Mrs. Anselmo (Patricia) Arruda of Pembrook, Massachusetts, Paula L. Krauchuk of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren, one great-grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Hrip of Sarasota, Florida, Mrs. John (Margaret) Cammisa of Butler, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Alex Krauchuk of Lyndora, Pennsylvania, George Kurtis of Stuart, Florida and also by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Krauchuk, Jr. was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Michael L. Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
