John L. McKillip, 78, 1550 Waggoners Gap Road, Carlisle, died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, in Carlisle Hospital.
Born Dec. 21, 1919, in Carlisle, he was the son of the late George and Susanna DeLancey McKillip and the widower of Anna Mae Lehman McKillip.
He was a 1937 graduate of Carlisle High School.
Mr. McKillip was a former officer with the Carlisle Police Department, a former supervisor with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and a self-employed custom home builder.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Carlisle, St. John's Lodge No. 260 F&AM, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg Consistory, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Cumberland County Shrine Club, Bellaire Acre Rod and Gun Club, Carlisle, Mosquito Creek Sportsman's Association of Frenchville, Yellow Breeches Rod and Gun Club, and the Pennsylvania Sportsman Hall of Fame Association.
Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Mary Conrad McKillip; three daughters, Linda Ely of Mt. Holly Springs, Judy Gifford of North Kingstown, R.I., and Jan Marie Hertzler of Carlisle; a brother, Donald P. McKillip, Boiling Springs; a sister, Mary C. Russell, Carlisle; nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard A. Ruff and the Rev. Sharon F. Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, and from 1-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther St., Carlisle 17013

Glenn L. Myers, 64, of 2059 Lake Meade Road, York Springs, died Monday, Dec. 22, at Carlisle Hospital.
He was a retired employee of the Ahlstrom Paper Group, Mt. Holly Springs.
Mr. Myers was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, York Springs, and the Latimore Valley Antique Tractor Association.
Surviving are his mother, Sarah Kenney Myers, of Dillsburg; his wife, Kathryn M. Ruppert Myers; two sons, Douglas G. of Mechanicsburg and Timothy L. of East Berlin; three daughters, Kimberly K. Lehman and Michelle L. Myers, both of York Springs, and Wendy L. Myers of Wellsville; five sisters, Arlene Books, Anna Myers, Betty McCurdy and June Grove, all of Dillsburg, and Alta Sowers of Hummelstown. Three grandchildren also survive.
Services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, with the Rev. Martin Horn officiating. Burial will be in Filey's Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 216 Main St., York Springs 17372.

Margaret A. Stallsmith, 91, of Biglerville died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at the home of her granddaughter, Connie Machamer of Hummelstown.
Born July 1, 1906, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Mary Trout Winegardner, of Emmittsburg, Md. She was the widow of John D. Stallsmith.
Mrs. Stallsmith was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Biglerville and the Upper Adams Senior Center.
Surviving are a sister, Virginia Woodward of Emmittsburg, Md.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A son, John H. Stallsmith, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held, at 10 a.m. Saturday in Biglerville Cemetery with the Rev. Steven J. Knitter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 98 South Enola Drive, P.O. Box 266, Enola 17025-0266.
Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville is handling the arrangements.

Reginald M. Suzuki, 87, of 120 E. Winding Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at Manor Care Health Services.
Born Aug. 13, 1910, in Perth Amboy, N.J., he was the son of the late Reginald G. and Margaret Josko Susuki.
He was a graduate of Perkiomen Prep School and graduated in 1936 from Dickinson College in Carlisle.
Mr. Suzuki was a former employee of Hunt Corporation and P.R. Hoffman, both of Carlisle, and retired from Progresso Services, Harrisburg, with 27 years of service.
He was president of Leper Farm Sportsman's Club and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving are two foster sons, Edward Renard of Newville and Clyde Mumma of Mechanicsburg, and a cousin, Andrew Josko of Sarasota, Fla.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle. Friends may call there from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions can be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Road, Harrisburg 17110.

Ruby K. Dice, 84, of 265 Duncan Road, Shippensburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 22, 1913 in Pleasant Hall, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Mabel Hammond Newton.
She was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church and its Golden Rule Sunday School class.
Mrs. Dice was a 1932 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She is survived by her husband, Roy J. Dice, who she married on Oct. 29, 1936; two sons, Harold E. Dice of Fredricksburg, Pa., and Merle A. Dice of Shippensburg; one daughter, Gladys L. Bender of Shippensburg; one sister, Abbie Heck of Shippensburg; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, with the Rev. Garry L. Culler officiating.
Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Greene Township.
Viewing will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prince Street United Brethren Church, 20 North Prince Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.

Alice S. Goodyear of Carlisle died Wednesday morning, Dec. 24, 1997 in the Thornwald Nursing Home, Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 27, in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle, with the Rev. William C. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.
The Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
A complete obituary will follow at a later date.

Viola M. Hoover, 83, formerly of Carlisle, passed away in Hopkins, S.C., on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997.
She was born to the late Joseph and Mable Boyd Negley of Newville.
Surviving are one daughter, Geraldine Crabtree of Hopkins, S.C.; three sisters, Gertrude Ginter and Ruth Brown, both of Carlisle, and Isabel Mountz of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in South Carolina.
