Carl A. Pesi
Carl A. Pesi, 85, of 204 Long Ave., Belle Vernon (Washington Township), Pa., died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Argentina, he was the son of the late Carlo and Assunta Mazzei Pesi.
Mr. Pesi was a resident of Washington Township, for the past 64 years, and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon.
Mr. Pesi owned and operated Monessen Heating Roofing for 25 years and was also employed at Beacon Supply Company, of Belle Vernon.
He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, and the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl L. and Rita Pesi of Washington Township, and Thomas and Mary Pesi of Star Junction, Pa.; two daughters and son-in-law, Joan DeAngelis of Vanderbilt, Pa., and Patricia A. and John Morigi of Washington Township; a brother, Mario Pesi of Lynwood; a sister, Yolanda Neil of Belle Vernon; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Krofchek Pesi on Oct. 13, 1992; a brother, Ector Pesi; and two sisters, Rosetta Fantini and Eva McGill.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held on Saturday at 8:30 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m., in St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. St. Sebastian Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary today at 3 p.m., and the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, will hold services this evening at 7 p.m., both in the funeral home.

William L. Reynolds
William L. Reynolds, 79, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Uniontown, the son of the late L. O’Neal Reynolds and Myra Etta (Sennett) Reynolds.
Bill was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Reynolds; brothers, O’Neal S. Reynolds, Jack D. Reynolds, Robert J. Reynolds and Charles R. Reynolds; and a grandson, Robert.
He enlisted in the Army in 1941, and served with the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II, and also served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.
Bill was retired from the Maintenance Department of Uniontown Area School District.
He was a member of the Hutchinson Sportsman Club, VFW Post 47, and a charter member of the 82nd Airborne Association.
Surviving are his daughter, Nancy L. Stroup of Altoona; sisters, Peggy J. Long and her husband, Richard Long, and Shirley A. Meadows and her husband, Julius E. Meadows; a sister-in-law, Mary E. Bajgier; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2001, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Joyce Brant officiating. Private interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Michael L. Sickles
Michael L. Sickles, 25, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1976, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., son of Lawrence and Darlene (Raymond) Sickles of Lemont Furnace, Pa.
Michael was a groundskeeper for Sylvan Heights Cemetery, was an avid softball player, and played for many local teams.
In addition to h is parents, he is survived by his wife, Anne Marie (Vargo) Sickles; a stepson, Jonathan Vargo, at home; a brother, Kenneth A. Sickles of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Nettie Raymond of Lemont Furnace, Pa.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 11 a.m., where service will be held, with the Rev. Roger Yeager officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Edna P. St. Clair
Edna Pearl Wolfe St. Clair, 74, of Fairchance, Pa., died Wednesday, April 04, 2001, at home.
She was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Crow’s Works, Pa., daughter of the late Anna Wolfe.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Smith.
Surviving are her husband, Herbert St. Clair; three children, James L. St. Clair and his wife, Nancy, Darrell R. St. Clair and his wife, Kimberly, and Charles E. St. Clair, all of Smithfield, Pa.; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.

Paul D. Stull
Paul D. Stull, 69, of Reagantown (East Huntingdon Township), Pa., passed away Wednesday evening, April 4, 2001, at his residence.
Paul was a hardworking and devoted father, grandfather and brother to his family. He was a former employee with the Mennonite Publishing House of Scottdale, and more recently worked as a truck driver with Tri-Gas Propane Company. Years ago, Paul drove a taxi in Scottdale.
Paul is survived by his loving family: his children, Yvonne Hope McFadden and husband, Willis of Connellsville, Christine Ellen Stull and her companion, Mark Thompson of Yukon, Marie Carla Munn and husband, Dave of Connellsville, and Jonathan James Stull and wife, Brenda of Connellsville, and their mother, Ruby Fern Vernon Stull of Connellsville; seven grandchildren; a sister, June Lender and husband, Bill of Scottdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, today from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service.

Ervin Brown
Ervin Brown, 58, of McKees Rock, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, in Johnson, Pa.
Surviving are three daughters, Sherry, Leslie and Alice, all of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Stevie of the state of California, and Eric of Uniontown; and two brothers, Leroy of Alaska, and Burnet of Uniontown.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Muriel E. Lantz Funeral Home, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa.

John Lewis D’Auria
John Lewis D’Auria, 71, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Connellsville, died Wednesday, May 9, at his residence.
His wife, Matilda Hvizdos D’Auria; two daughters, Gina D’Auria and Lisa McHenry; three grandchildren and two brothers survive him, Anthony F. D’Auria of Connellsville and Eugene R. D’Auria of Elyria, Ohio.

Eva E. Davis
Eva E. "Betty" Davis, 90, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, May 28, 2001, in the Redstone Highlands Care Center, Greensburg.
She was born Aug. 13, 1910, in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Rial Young.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph B. Davis, in 1980.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Uniontown. Eva’s life was focused on and dedicated to the loving care of her family.
Surviving are a son, Joseph B. Davis Jr., and his wife, Cathy of Springfield, Va.; a sister, Clementine Cameron of Camp Hill, Pa.; and a niece, Barbara Harrington of Foley, Ala.
Friends will be received in the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, on Sunday, June 3, 2001, from noon until 2 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Monday, June 4, 2001, until the hour of service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Paul N. Frank officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Redstone Highlands Care Center, 6 Garden Dr., Greensburg PA 15601.

Linda R. Holt
Linda Ruth Holt, 46, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Ruby Mem-orial Hospital, in Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on Aug. 1, 1954.
Preceding her in death were her husband, David, in 1983; and an infant son, Tim.
She is survived by her father, William Liston of Ohio; three sons, David Holt and his fiancée, Sherry of Fairchance, Jim Holt and his wife, Amy of Smithfield, and Lawrence Holt of Smithfield; four grandchildren; her mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Lawrence Holt of Smithfield, with whom she made her home; a sister, Nancy Casteel of Little Brownfield, Pa.; a brother, Bobby Liston of the state of Florida; and several aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME OF SMITHFIELD, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, June 2, until 11 a.m., when services will be conducted, with the Rev. Jay Hurley officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance.

Sophie Jarabeck
Sophie Jarabeck, 85, of Monessen, Pa., died Thursday, May 31, 2001, in Washington Hospital.
She was born June 27, 1915, in Monessen, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Czopor) Gladys.
She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, and the former Most Holy Name of Jesus Roman Cath-olic Church, both of Monessen.
She was retired from the Monessen School District, having worked in the cafeteria of the Junior/Senior High School.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert J. and Bonnie Jarabeck of Jefferson Township, and Leonard and Janet Jarabeck of Kernersville, N.C.; one brother, Edward "Irish" Gladys of Pittsburgh; four sisters, Mary Ondulick of Pittsburgh, Ann Waters and husband, Donald of Pittsburgh, Jane Voytilla and husband, Steve "Jack" of Perryopolis, and Loretta Brandemarte of Monessen; seven grandchildren, Robert J. Jarabeck Jr., Carolyn Wall, Janice Walsh, Paul Jarabeck, Leonard W. Jarabeck, Diane Ferrara and Christopher Jarabeck; and by eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Jarabeck; a son, Edward Jarabeck; and a brother, Stanley Gladys.
Friends will be received in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m., Funeral Mass, in the Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery.

Alex Keene
Alex Keene, 38, of Allison, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Mount Saint Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
He was employed by Burns Security Co. of Mount Pleasant.
Surviving are three daughters, Latasha, Kristen and Megan Keene. He will be missed by many friends and relatives.
Friends will be received in the Law Funeral Home, Brownsville, on Monday, June 4, 2001, from 11 a.m. to noon, the hour of service.
