Debra Cursi Helmick
Debra Cursi Helmick, 35, of Marianna, a native of Linden, N.J., died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She is survived by her parents, Albert Cursi Jr. and Ada Shepherd Cursi of Eighty Four; her husband, Paul Charles Helmick, whom she marriage Oct. 23, 1993; daughters: Chelsea Rae Helmick, Christina Pekar and Cassandra Pekar; brothers: Gary Cursi of Index, Wash., and Albert Cursi III of Marianna; sisters: Marina Cursi Calabrese of Washington, Pa., and Wendy Cursi Lowry of Chesapeake, Va.
The family will receive friends in the Greenlee Funeral Home, Route 40, Beallsville, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m.

M. Jane Beal Hepler
M. Jane Beal Hepler, 84, of Wooddale, Mount Pleasant, Pa., died Sunday, February 27, 2000, in Fay-West Health System's Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
She was born September 27, 1915, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., daughter of Clyde Beal and Mary Washabaugh Beal.
Jane was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School in Mount Pleasant.
She was formerly employed at Frick Hospital as a Controller/Business Office Manager where she worked for 25 years.
She was a member of Paradise United Methodist Church for more than 50 years,where she served as the Church Treasurer and a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
She was the Chairperson of the Pastor-Parish Committee and she served on the recent 125th Anniversary Committee.
On the United Methodist Church District level she served as a District Parsonage Trustee and the Lay Equalization Delegate to the Western Pennsylvania United Methodist Conference.
She was also a member and past president of the United Methodist Women, and since 1980 she served almost daily as a full time volunteer of the Connellsville Community Ministries.
Jane was a Life Member and Past Master of the Pleasant Valley Grange.
She was also the longest living volunteer of the Bullskin Township Fair.
She was a member and past treasurer of the Bullskin Township Lioness Club and a member of the Pleasant Valley Lions Club where she held several offices and was the recipient of the coveted "Melvin Jones Fellow Award" for her work in Lionism.
In 1992 Jane received the Connellsville Chamber of Commerce Service Award.
Her husband, Orton W. Hepler, died in 1980. Also deceased are her parents; six brothers, Russell, Clyde, John, Oliver, Lloyd and the Rev. William Beal, and five sisters, Alma Keefer, Grace Crise, Nora Wilson, Elizabeth Daniels and Mary Basinger.
She is survived by one son, Blaine Hepler and his wife, Linda, of Beaver, Pa.; one daughter, Linda Rose and her husband, Louis, of Wooddale; eight grandchildren: Thomas Pietrzak and his wife, Cindy, of Lansdale, Pa., Amy Landman and her husband, Roger, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Denise Harrison of Arizona, David Hepler and his wife, Denise, of Georgia, Danny Hepler of Beaver, Pa., Darla Hepler of Arizona, Dawn Bufalini and her husband, Chris, of Beaver, Pa., and Darin Hepler of Beaver, Pa.; seven great-grandchildren: Tonya Hepler, Thomas Pietrzak III, Danny Hepler Jr., Shayla Landman, Reana Landman, Ryan Hepler and Nathan Hepler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 East Washington St., Mount Pleasant, Pa., today from 3 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 2, at 11 a.m. in Paradise United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Doug Burns and the Rev. Terry Guiste officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlick Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Connellsville Community Ministries or to Paradise United Methodist Church in Memory of Mrs. Hepler.
Pleasant Valley Lions Club will conduct a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Mary Marshall Lukowski
Mary Marshall Lukowski, 100, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, February 28, 2000, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.
Arrangements will be announced by the Haky Funeral Homes Inc., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown.

Clara M. Mihalsky
Clara M. Skompski Mihalsky, 73, of Footedale, Pa., passed away Monday, February 28, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born August 14, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Joseph Skompski and Victoria Kusiak Skompski.
She was a member of Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Footedale.
Her husband, Edward J. Mihalsky, a granddaughter, Terri Jo Tassone, these sisters and brother, Theresa Skompski, Donna Skompski, Deatra Fronczek and Edward Mihalsky, and her parents are deceased.
She is survived by four sons: Carmel Tassone Jr. of Millville, New Jersey, Edward Mihalsky Jr., Walter Mihalsky and David Mihalsky and his wife, Robin, all of Footedale, Pa.; five grandchildren: Angela Strope, Carmel Tassone III, Tiffany Brooks, David Mihalsky and Alyssa Beth Mihalsky; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Strope; these sisters and brother: Helen Poarch of Elkton, Maryland, Mrs. Rudolph (Gertrude) Bilko of Filbert, Pa., Eleanor Freeman and Monica Gutowski both of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Mrs. Raymond (Christine) Jacobson of Filbert, and Eugene Skompski of Uniontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 2, at 12 Noon in Saint Thomas R.C. Church, Footedale, with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Thomas Church Cemetery.
A Parish Wake Service will be held Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.

Alice E. Miller
Alice E. Miller, 85, of Donegal died Sunday in Latrobe Area Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Diane) Gales of Melcroft; two grandsons; and two brothers, James Beagle of Massachusetts, and Max Beagle of Florida.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Melcroft.

Kathryn G. Miller
Kathryn G. Miller, 98, of South Connellsville died Saturday in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
She is survived by four sisters, Wilda Geary of Florida, Mrs. Jesse W. (Mildred) Eicher of Connellsville, Louise Holland of Baltimore, Md., and Thelma Gallentine of South Connellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Brooks Funeral Home, Connellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday.

John Huston Paull
John Huston "Jack" Paull, 72, of Frankfort, Ind., formerly of Euclid, Ohio, who was born in High House, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn June Summers Paull; sons: Harry J. Paull of Montville, Ohio, and Charles E. Paull of Euclid, Ohio; sisters: Virginia Paull Druash, Lois Paull Hiles, Ruth Paull Baughman and Norma Paull Smith, all of Uniontown; Vivian Paull Spiker of Gibbon Glade; Deanna Paull Glover of Kasota, Minn., and Donna Paull Miller of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m.

Mary Pramuk
Mary Pramuk, 94, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, February 28, 2000, in Cherry Tree Nursing Home, Uniontown.
Arrangements will be announced by the Haky Funeral Homes Inc., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown.

Patrick P. Reilly
Patrick P. Reilly, 64, a lifelong resident of Connellsville, died Sunday, Feb.27, 2000, at home.
He is survived by three cousins: Martin J. Rottler and wife, Mary Lou, of Greensburg, James M. Rottler and wife, Diane, of Voorhees, N.J., and Virginia (Shank) DeBolt of Charlotte Hall, Md.
Friends will be received in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 11:30 a.m.

Jean Shaffer Barber
Jean E. Shaffer Barber, 83, of Masontown, Pa., died Sunday, February 20, 2000, in Lancashire Manor, Lancaster, Pa.
She was born May 7, 1916, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., daughter of Harry W. Shaffer and Bertha E. Myers Shaffer.
She was a Cafeteria Manager for 18 years in the Albert Gallatin School District and was a member of McClellandtown United Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, R. Clifton Barber, died October 6, 1986. Also deceased are a daugher, Carol Wilson, a brother, Blaine Shaffer, and her parents.
Surviving are a son, Edwin E. Barber and his wife, Eileen, of North Potomac, Maryland; two daughters: Sandra L. Antram of New Salem, Pa., and Lorraine J. Stillwagon and her husband, Harry, of Lancaster, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Ruth Smith and her husband, Tom, of Masontown, Pa., Betty Watkins of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Sarah Watkins Morgando of Mesa, Arizona.
Friends will be received in the GRANT R. TOWNSEND & SON FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main St., Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held in McClellandtown United Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 24, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Douglas J. Essinger-Hileman officiating.
Interment will follow in the church Cemetery.
