Thelma W. (Warfel) Heffner, 86, of Greensburg, who was born in Fayette City, Pa., died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carl B. Heffner; children: William C. Heffner of Greensburg and Linda J. Heffner and her husband, Douglas Richardson, of Newton, Massachusetts; grandchildren: Jennifer Richardson, Craig Richardson, Timothy Richardson; and a sister, Dorothy Warfel Strickler and her husband, John Strickler, of Perryopolis, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 East Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, Pa., today from Noon to 4 p.m. Friends may gather on Monday, May 28, at First Presbyterian Church, South Main Street, Greensburg, at 11 a.m.

Frances Yvonne "Von" Bowser Holp
Frances Yvonne "Von" Bowser Holp, 66, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, May 24, 2001, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.
She was born April 4, 1935, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., daughter of the late William Bowser and Blanche Hawk Bowser.
Her husband, Joseph E. Holp, died in 1968.
She is survived by children: Joseph M. Holp and his wife, Marcia, and Angie and her husband, Keith Quairiere, all of Uniontown, Pa.; grandsons: Joseph D. Holp, Michael E. Holp, Robert K. Quairiere; a brother, Jack Bowser and his wife, Linda, of Mount Braddock, Pa.; sisters and brothers-in-law: Virginia and Charles E. Martin and Jane and Perry Wingrove all of Lemont Furnace, Ivy and Wilbert Garletts of Dunbar, Pa.; her mother-in-law, Audrey Holp, one uncle and two aunts, John and Wanda Hawk and Leona Hawk, all of Lemont Furnace; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Michael Singo officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Anna M. Hranec
Anna M. Jakubick Hranec, 89, of McClellandtown, Pa., died peacefully Friday, May 25, 2001.
She was born February 16, 1912, in Turzovka, Slovakia, daughter of Matthew and Rose Jakubick.
Mrs. Hranec was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa., and St. Mary's Rosary Society.
For many years she had been employed with the former German Township High School in the cafeteria and was a member of German Township High School Band Mothers.
She was also a member of Jednota Lodge.
Her husband, Joseph P. Hranec, three daughters, Rose Myers, Mary Perkins, and Helen Hranec in infancy, and her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving are eight children: Joseph P. Hranec of Bergenfield, New Jersey, Frank Hranec of Warren, Michigan, John E. Hranec Sr. and his wife, Lucille, of McClellandtown, Pa., Ann Lescar of Carmichaels, Pa., Catherine and her husband, Carson Hailey, of Brooklyn, New York, Joan Liston of Masontown, Pa., Margaret and her husband, Bill Granchi, of Mentor, Ohio, and Eleanor "Dolly" and her husband, Henry Mikrut, of Raritan, New Jersey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Charles Myers of McClellandtown; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, May 29, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:45 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa., with Rev. Fr. Andrew M. Kawecki as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
Parish Wake Service will be held Monday at Noon.
St. Mary's Rosary Society will recite the Rosary on Monday at 3 p.m.

William E. Jones
William "Bill" E. Jones, 82, of Crucible, Pa., who was born in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa., retired Coal Miner from Nemacolin Mine in Nemacolin, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.
He is survived by four children: Rose Jones Maskil of Rices Landing, Pa., Clarence William Jones of Moseley, Virginia, Lee Jones and David Jones both of Crucible; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. He was the last remaining member of his immediate family.
Friends will be received in the Behm Funeral Home Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29, until 11 a.m.

Wilda Bane McNeil
Wilda Bane McNeil, 90, of California, Pa., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Residence at the Hilltop, Donora, Pa.
She was born July 27, 1910, in Clarksville, Pa., daughter of J. W. Bane and Mary Morton Bane.
After graduating from the former East Bethlehem Township High School she attended and graduated from California Normal School (now California University of Pennsylvania) in 1930.
As an Elementary School Teacher she began her career in the Clarksville Hill School and went on to retire from the Brownsville Area schools.
Mrs. McNeil was a member of First Presbyterian Church in California, Pa., where she belonged to the Ladies Aid Society and the Friday Evening Club.
She was also a member of Pennsylvania School Employees Association Retirees and the National Education Association.
On June 21, 1933, she married James L. McNeil. He died September 30, 1991.
Also deceased are a son who died in infancy, five sisters, Elva Taylor, Pearle Neel, Lulu Hartley, Virginia Rohrer, Evelyn Brown, and her parents.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Route 40, Beallsville, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.

Irene M. Mikel
Irene M. Hensberger Mikel, 73, of West Newton R.D.1, who was born in Yukon, Pa., part owner and officer of Mikel Coal Company and Mikel Trucking Company located in West Newton, Pa., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward Mikel; daughters: Maryann and her husband, Stan Revers, and Rose Mikel all of West Newton R.D.1; grandsons: Stanley "Stush" Revers, Kasimir "Kas" Revers, and Edward "Eddie" Revers; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Joseph W. Nickels Funeral Home Inc., 404 Sewickley Avenue, Herminie, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, May 29, until 9:15 a.m.

Violet Falco Petrock
Violet D. Falco Petrock of Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, May 24, 2001, in Brownsville General Hospital.
She was the daughter of Samuel Falco and Fannie Falcone Falco.
She was a member of The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, Pa., and Catholic Daughters of America, Browns-ville.
Her husband, Michael M. Petrock Jr., sisters, Rose Marie Vitanza and Mamie Chiplaskey, and her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children: Judith and her husband, Paul Redzanic, and Timothy Petrock all of Brownsville, Pa.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Tami Manchas and her children, Jaime Leigh and Tyler Paul, Rodney M. Redzanic and his wife, Kristen, and Chad Petrock and his wife, Amy; and a brother, James Dominick, Cleveland, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Monday, May 28, at 12 Noon.
A Funeral Mass follows at 12:30 p.m. in The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, Pa., with Rev. Fr. James Petrovsky as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.

Ella Mae Hart Rhodes
Ella Mae Hart Rhodes, 80, of Morgantown, West Virginia, formerly of Connellsville, who was born in Normalville, Pa., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown.
She is survived by her loving children: Bonnie Hart Sines and her husband, Kenneth Sines, of Nemacolin, Pa., and Harold Hart of Connellsville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers: Clyde Hart of Connellsville, Harry Hart and Ralph Hart both of Ravenna, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29, until 11 a.m.

R. Kenneth Roby
Robert Kenneth Roby, 87, of Latrobe, Pa., passed away Friday, May 25, 2001, in Greensburg Care Center.
He was born July 5, 1913, in the Uniontown, Pa., area, the second son of Isaac Frank Roby and Gertrude Jefferies Roby.
Ken was retired from American Cyanamid Company where he was the Plant Manager of the "cap works".
He was an avid golfer and bridge player with memberships at Latrobe Country Club and Latrobe B.P.O. Elks 907.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Newingham Roby, in 1987, three brothers, James, George, and John Roby, and his parents.
Surviving are two daughters; Lenore Potthoff and Georgia Himler and her husband, Gary Himler; four grandchildren: William Potthoff and his wife, Melissa, Ginger and her husband, Todd Link, Heidi and her husband, David Conrad, and Gretchen Himler; and one great grandson, Luke Conrad.
Visitation will be held at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Aimee W. Twigg officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 1204 Ligonier Street, Unity Township, Latrobe.

Jack Thornton
Jack Thornton, 73, of McClellandtown, Pa., died Saturday morning, May 26, 2001, in his home.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta English Thornton, and six children.
Arrangements will be announced by the Muriel E. Lantz Funeral Home, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa.
